On August 9 at 4:45 my friend and I went into the restaurant for meal. There was no air-conditioning no light. My friend ordered a soda. We decided not to stay. The waitress went in the back told the cook we were not staying and he came out like a lunatic. You're leaving he said "get out" and then proceeded to cursed at us. He yelled at us and he wanted us out of the restaurant. This man has no business being in business with the public. He's a horrible person. The servers were not wearing masks either. This is of concern due to the current pandemic. Been a resident in town for over 7 years, involved in the community and visit restaurants with my wife and family 3-5 times a week. The word is the owner is nice, food generally above average but the server/bartender is arrogant, rude, self-centered and sometimes downright unprofessional. Finally had to try it. Yes: pizza was great (so say my teenagers) food was definitely above average. Unfortunately "Aggie" was the server and made the place as advertised. So you know, Elenni's is so much more than pizza although the pizza is absolutely delicious. All the food is delicious and very reasonably priced compared to neighboring restaurants. I will not be returning to this restaurant again. It's too bad, because the food was pretty good and outdoor patio was nice, even if drinks were overpriced and made with cheap liquor. Server at first did not wear a mask. She asked us if we wanted her to wear a mask?! Isn't this a requirement for servers?! From that point, she inconsistently wore the mask when serving us. One other couple came in and was seated directly next to us, even though the restaurant was practically empty. It's obvious they do not take COVID safety seriously. "Good but Pricey" My wife and I went to Elenni's based on a recommendation by a friend of hers that works at Elenni's. Nice comfortable atmosphere. We sat at the bar for dinner and enjoyed a nice conversation with her friend Maggie who waited on us. We began with cocktails while we looked over the menu. I had a Bombay Sapphire Gin & Tonic and my wife had a draft beer. Our appetizer was a special for the night. A fried calamari with a lemon lime sauce. It was tasty. I also had a french onion soup. My dinner was the Shrimp Fra Diavolo over linguine. Plenty of fresh shrimp in a spicy sauce. Very good. My wife had a medium cheese pizza with sliced fresh tomatoes and fresh basil. It only had a a couple sprigs of basil in the middle but she did enjoy the pizza. Everything was good and we will go back. But we found some items to be pricey. My gin and tonic was $12.00. Twelve dollars for one drink? My wife's medium pizza was $19.00. Nineteen dollars for a cheese pizza with sliced tomatoes? It had no meats or expensive seafood on it. Just tomatoes. That's crazy. So I've ordered pizza through Grubhub from them before and yes the pizza was good, however today was my moms birthday and I ordered 5 pizzas and opted to go pick it up myself as I needed to stop somewhere else as well. I ordered directly from the restaurant. They gave me my number and time to pickup. When I arrived I was greeted by the nicest lady who checked me out. She was super friendly and asked me if I was having a party. I told her yes a small one for my moms birthday. She was so sweet. The gentleman cooking the pizza (I think the owner) waved to me and said hello. The woman was speaking to the gentleman and came to me and asked what kind of wiling my mom liked, red or white. I told her red and Cab. She brought me a bottle of wine for my moms birthday complimentary. So sweet. The place smelled amazing. While I was waiting she offered me a drink, I declined as I was okay for the time being. Honestly no restaurant has ever offered me a drink while I waited. Both the sweet woman and the gentleman told me I should definitely come back and eat a meal at the restaurant. After that service I absolutely will. Everyone loved the pizza and wine. My wife placed a deposit for an event a month in the future, plans changed, and she called back less than 2 hours later. The owner refused to refund the $200 deposit. There was no mention that this deposit was not refundable earlier. My advice is that you plan your events and dinning elsewhere. If I could give this place zero stars I would! Strictly based on customer service! I ordered through DoorDash which apparently places the order for you at the restaurant. I ordered at 6:15 on a Monday night and I expected my order to come by 7:20. I consider myself a patient person but by 7:35 I thought this is ridiculous especially since our order was very simple and the place wasn't even far from my house. The driver said he was at the restaurant waiting..... what?! I called the restaurant and immediately the woman on the phone says it's not our fault it's DoorDash he just got here and ordered 10 minutes ago. Um ok... then I spoke to the driver again and according to him he went to the restaurant at soon as he got the order which was around 7:10. Again... what?! Then the owner gets on the phone and I was originally very understanding, he said he has no contract with them and he has no control over that blah blah blah. I tried to explain my position and he just kept cutting me off. I tried to tell him that people that don't understand this process and are waiting for their food and their order is wrong they are going to complain about the restaurant. The owner is literally yelling at me, no letting me talk and telling me I'm wrong and it doesn't matter what I have to say he doesn't agree with me. Funny because like I was trying to tell him this does reflect his restaurant! I would have not even written a review if it wasn't for his horrible attitude, all I was trying to explain is that if he has gotten complaints about DoorDash before then he should figure out how to stop their service because people that don't understand will think the restaurant is the problem. I've never had a bad meal here. For the last few years my wife and I have gone here with her dad at least once a month. For "the local pizza place", we rarely get pizza when we're dining in. The waitstaff are friendly (we're semi-regular customers and they're always quick to point that out), and they're always fine with making substituations. At least once a meal the owner will come over to our table and ask how everything is, which I find a very nice touch. Sure, we're talking about pretty standard Italian fare, and this certainly isn't fine dining, but for a comfortable atmosphere, good food and friendly service I have no issues here! read more

We've been a few times over the years. Sadly, the service is always slow and so they have to include the 20% tip into the Bill! The men seem ok, slow, but at least they try, but the female staff have real attitude problems. At least two we've encountered were downright horrible! One dark-haired woman was too quick in clearing and clattering plates and she literally (and loudly) threw my salad fork and knife back down onto the table, while clearing our table for main course. The other blonde woman was so very rude to us. When leaving, she actually started arguing with us when Mr. asked for the itemized receipt back. Her logic and perhaps Language barrier was difficult at best, but her final remarks were very clearly and rudely put... "You don't like it, don't come back! I don't kiss anyone's ass!" Wow! The pizza is not the greatest, but it's okay and some of the other items like the lasagne or spaghetti and meatballs are at least average. They do serve you quality bread which is baked on the premises with good garlic olive oil. Points for that. read more

Two bites, I could not eat more. I told the waitress who did not say a word and took it to the kitchen. The owner came out saying he tried it and it's the same it always is. Very very very rude. My dinner was lobster ravioli in creamed scallop sauce. On my next visit they had fresh lobster rolls as an appetizer. Is this food you call dated? I don't understand the negative reviews people have left. This place is great, the staff is friendly and the food is delicious. I recently visited with a friend and we ordered the fried calamari to start which was excellent, she then ordered a fish over risotto type dish which she loved and I ordered the eggplant parm with penne. The meals came with salads and bread and everything was excellent . I enjoyed it so much I came back with my family later that same week and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. There are a bunch of good spots to eat in Woodbury but personally this is my favorite. Larger portions, good price, friendly staff! I highly recommend. read more

Horrible. Just plain horrible. Our party of 4 arrived around 5:30 p.m. on Mother's Day. The place was busy, but not packed, there were a few open tables. We were seated at a table with no tablecloth and no place settings, given no water or napkins or menus. After 15 minutes, my mother got up and went and stole 4 menus from an empty table. We sat there for another 15 minutes. At long last, a man finally came over. We'd been sitting so long, we were ready to order everything, but when we started ordering dinner, he held his hand up and said, very rudely, "stop, please, just the drink order for now." We ordered drinks. We waited about another 15 minutes. He finally came back over to take our dinner order. My mother went first, but halfway through her ordering, he put his hand up and walked away. We were dumbfounded. He returned about 5 minutes later to finish taking our order, no apology, no explanation, nothing. I understand they were short staffed, there appeared to be only 1 waitress working and this guy, who I sincerely hope isn't a regular member of the wait staff. But having worked in restaurants, a smile and an apology goes a very long way. One other table got up and walked out, and the party of 6 near us--and I swear this happened, I am not kidding-actually took it upon themselves to write their orders down on a piece of paper and just hand it to the guy! I have never seen anything like it in my life. A few minutes later, he came back and literally dumped a pile of placemats, napkins and utensils in front of my stepfather and walked away. Our salads arrived about 15 minutes later, not one of them with the correct dressing. By then we were so hungry, we didn't even care. The food arrived about 20 minutes later. My Chicken Francese was bland, watery, and flavorless. There was no seasoning or lemon flavor, no garnish or presentation (not even a lemon slice), and the pasta was so watery, I couldn't even twirl it on a fork. My mother and grandmother ordered the Chicken Portabello...basically, chicken marsala, but with no mushrooms, despite the name, and sliced red bell pepper. The sauce was decent enough, but the chicken was tough, there were maybe 1 or 2 slices of mushroom on each plate, and the mashed potatoes they'd requested instead of pasta were nowhere to be found. Fortunately, we snagged the waitress, who procured the mashed potatoes, but had a major attitude and snapped at us when she brought them. My stepdad's Spaghetti and Meatballs was just okay; he said the meatballs were good, but the pasta was drowned in too-sweet sauce. He left about half of it behind. The only upside was the fresh baked bread, which was delicious, but since we couldn't flag down any wait staff to save our lives, we only had one piece each between the 4 of us. I am usually all for second chances and as I said, I've worked in restaurants and know how tough it is when you are busy and short-staffed. But I have never, ever experienced such poor food and service, and I will NEVER set foot in this place again. Not even for my Mom on Mother's Day! read more

I have noticed a decline here lately. We stopped getting pizza here because we had several in a row that were just poorly done and one that had obviously been heated up. Went tonight with my mom and daughter and there was a party in the bar area which was taking a lot of staff time. First I ordered a rum and coke before dinner which tasted off a bit. I mentioned it to the waiter who said "I don't know why". Not quite the answer I was expecting. Kind of like " yeah well it's fine" attitude instead of looking into it, which he didn't. The lime in the drink was obviously very old and dried out which may have caused the odd taste. I sent that drink back and ordered a Captain and coke. I got yet another dried out lime in it and again it wasn't great but I didn't squeeze it this time so it wasn't as bad. I ordered the crab ravioli special served with scallops and shrimp. It was a $19 meal. I almost sent it back when it arrived as it consisted of 5 very small square ravioli a few shrimp and small scallops. The ravioli tasted just ok maybe like the type you buy in the store that comes in sheets from the frozen section. I also see a lot of bread comments in the positive. Obviously we went on a bad night as ours wasn't anything special. Maybe it was stored next to the limes. My mom liked her chicken meal which better than mine. Luckily she couldn't finish so I did. After we were done eating the waiter tells me that the ravioli is good but it won't fill you up. Well thanks. I wouldn't have noticed that I ate half of my mom's meal too just to fill up.
