Over the years I have visited a few acne clinics and this is the one that has stood by me over the years. I recommend you check them out if you suffer from acne. If they advise you to stop using moisturizer and your skin doesn't start producing oil in a 6+ months, definitely return to see how they can help you. Apparently, one milia was hard to extract, so - without first informing me - Dr Sliwowicz - decided to cut it out. I now have a big (2mm) cut under my eye, which he had to "glue" back together. Can't wear makeup and it looks like I got in a bar fight. It made me cancel my evening plans. He promises it will heal in 10 days, so I will update then. Right now - I'm really upset. If my undereye is messed up forever because of a poorly executed $25 extraction, I'm going to sue him. Either way, I think a doctor should ask before he cuts out a piece of your face! Especially when it's a cosmetic clinic so obviously I'm there to look better not a hell of a lot worse!

However, I was given a skin lighting cream to use in conjunction with my treatments and was not told that I needed to stop three days prior to my appointment. I ended up going to my appointment but was told that I needed to move the appointment to a different day since I had just used a lightening skin cream that morning. I was told to email the director to reinstate my appointment. In January he emailed me back and reinstated my appointment. I then went to the appointment he reinstated. Please find attached screenshots for reference of our communication. That happened in January and fast forward we are now in April. As time passed I really wasn't satisfied with the service provided so I decided to leave a review a week ago. After my review the owner unprofessionally revoked my last treatment session coming up in May. This was a complete separate appointment with a different laser which I paid for separately from the one he reinstated. I have already paid in full and he has not provided me a refund. He decided to cancel my last upcoming appointment out of spite due to my bad review and is trying to link it to the missed appointment that he already reinstated in January (almost 5 months ago). I truly wish I had read reviews before booking at this establishment. My background as a nurse gives me a different perspective. Some staff members seemed underqualified, contributing to an uncomfortable environment from the beginning. During my second laser session, the nurse appeared unsure of how to use the laser and needed assistance. The procedure was incredibly painful, resulting in scarring. Despite assurances that this was normal, the pain was intense, and six treatments have not improved the scars. I need to mention that a-lot of 5 star reviews are misleading because the owner often reinstates appointments in exchange for reviews. While I understand that not every client will have a negative experience, it's crucial to take the poor reviews seriously. Sometimes the issues can be remedied by how it is handled. However, the way the owner handles issues at this company demonstrates a lack of professionalism and extreme immaturity. In response to any criticism, he decides to just cancel your appointments unethically. I plan to complete the few remaining treatments in my package, but I likely won't return after that. It's disappointing to see such a drop in standards after Nadia's departure.

After I received my injections, I waited a month with no visible result what so ever. Mind you, I know how much of a significant difference this procedure makes for my jaw line, as I severely grind my teeth at night and tend to overproduce my masseter muscle. Hence why I get the injection every 8 months or so. I don't know if the injector was not experienced or if the Botox was mixed with saline water to compensate for the promotional pricing but I would never go back here again.

As someone who has had quite extensive experience with dermatologists over the years, I can say , like many others who have been in similar situations and know that , sadly, it is not uncommon to encounter professionals in this field who can come across as snobbish, arrogant, rushed, or lacking in empathy (why that is remains anyone's guess). At this clinic, every single person we interacted with was immensely kind, professional, and clearly experienced and the level of compassion and respect shown to my father, and us as his family, throughout his care was truly extraordinary. The surgeon is outstanding, the nurses are gentle and empathetic, and even the front desk team went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at ease. One of the most impressive aspects of the clinic is that they perform biopsies in-house! While my father was undergoing surgery, they were simultaneously running the biopsies and we received the results right away! As anyone can imagine, that kind of immediate feedback made the stress of skin cancer treatment significantly more manageable and far, and I mean far, less overwhelming! The clinic itself is beautiful and immaculately clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed. It feels more like a modern wellness retreat than a medical facility, which makes a huge difference during such an emotionally charged time. We are beyond grateful for the consistent care and follow-ups (you can also take pictures of your healing process and/or if you have any concerns and attach them in your email and they respond right away!). They insisted on providing follow-ups and regularly check in on my father's progress and throughout his cancer journey, we have never once felt alone. Usually, as everyone might be fully aware of, you have to chase your specialist team for everything, but at Carlton Skin Clinic, it is THEY who INSIST you are provided thorough follow-ups! Furthermore, my father is a mentally resilient man and has always projected this strong, calm, and composed demeanour . But after he was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma, we, as his family, saw him anxious and afraid for the first time in his life. And that was sad and quite devastating to witness and it made us all even more anxious about the whole situation. That is why the care he received at Carlton Skin Clinic meant so much to all of us. Not only did they successfully treat his condition, they treated him as a whole person, with dignity, empathy, and genuine concern. My dad always felt deeply respected and valued as a patient, and we, as his immediate family, felt just as equally seen, supported, and appreciated. I had to post on Yelp because he paid to hide his bad reviews on the other major ratings site. Last year, I had what was supposed to be a routine laser treatment at his office. Dr. Weksberg's nurse "Jen", working under his direction, performed the treatment wrong and damaged my entire face, leaving me with burn marks, wide pores, redness and brown discolouration. Multiple doctors have explained to me that Jen COMPLETELY messed up during my treatment, burning my skin, and I really wish that Dr. Weksberg had done more to make sure that his nurse was properly trained and vetted before allowing her to use a laser on my face. I have thus far had several treatments to try to improve the mess that Dr. Weksberg and Jen made of my face, but, sadly, much of the damage is not fixable. I cannot stress enough how awful this ordeal has been. All this time, whenever I asked Dr. Weksberg for help he pretended that nothing was wrong in some sort of twisted attempt to avoid taking responsibility for what happened. For months after the failed laser treatment he did almost nothing to help me and instead let other more competent, decent and talented dermatologists work at fixing his mistakes. Trusting Fred Weksberg has cost me my self-confidence, and I would not wish what I have been through on my worst enemy. TOTAL $230 I took my daughter there for a consult for a gentle chemical peel for acne and oily skin. The esthetician (NOT Dr. Jenn) with 20 years experience gave her a gentle peel with no salicylic acid which is necessary, it did nothing; it was basically a moisturizer and I wasted about $110. In addition I was sold a $98 acne product that expired 15 months ago. They did refund with no issue and apologies. There was pressure to buy their line of products. I will get her another peel but I will not go here. 2. TOTAL $2300 I was on the wait list for a surgical procedure which they did also support and recommend for me. In the meantime, while waiting to surgically get rid of my puffy under eye I decided to try a dermal filler. I REALLY wanted something to help me out. They did not do my eyes because of the pending surgery but other areas of my face to help smooth it out - the results were minimal, the Total cost was $2300. I ended up getting the under-eye surgery and they dissolved all the filler anyway so the money was a complete waste anyway. Dissolved! I didn't know enough about all of this stuff but I certainly have learnt my lesson! Sharing if you are in the same position. Dr Jenn, did follow me through the journey of getting the surgery and I appreciate that but it doesn't get me the money back which was a small vacation's worth! 3.
