Had an appt with Giselle for the first time, for layers, and I couldn't be happier with the results. She gave me exactly what I wanted.

Yesterday, I got the worst haircut of my adult life here. I very rarely leave reviews and didn't want to be mean, but when I woke up this morning, saw my hair again, and cried because of how bad it looks, I feel like I have to. It is about two inches shorter than we discussed, the stylist even admitted it was cut too short. As for framing around my face, we picked a piece of hair and I said not to go shorter than that, it was cut much shorter. I asked for long layers, which I have had for years, but the stylist and I clearly had very different definitions of what that means. The layers are very short, some at my eye level. She finished and I literally cried and said I hate it. She tried to fix the layers by texturizing them and they look a little better. Emphasis on a little. My haircut still looks incredibly dated and nothing like the picture I showed her. It still made me cry every time I caught my reflection in a mirror when I got home. The only redemption is that it somehow all fits in a ponytail. I had long, thick hair so it took over two hours to wash, cut, and dry. Maybe it was too hard for her to work with. I saw she was cutting way more than I expected, but I didn't say anything because she was the professional and I was trusting her. In hindsight, I should have said something. I know it'll grow out, but I got my hair cut because we have a family wedding next weekend and unfortunately it won't grow out that fast. I absolutely hate it and don't know how it could be fixed at this point. What are they going to do, cut it more? I've already lost most of my once thick hair. Giving two stars instead of one because the stylist was a sweet girl and didn't charge me full price. But I will never be returning. read more

It's not my first rodeo, so I knew it was going to take a few sessions (3-4). However, Alanna started the process, analyzed my hair after the first stripping, and she said confidently "I can lighten it more" and asked for permission. Of course I trusted her as I've been going to her since 2017. Lo and behold! She did it! She got my hair from this trio-mess to a beautiful blonde. I received a recommendation from a neighbor on Nextdoor to try this salon out when I mentioned I was looking to transition my hair and let the grays grow out. I had a consultation with Kaitlynn who was helpful and friendly, explaining what they were going to do and how much it would cost. She mentioned I could book my appointment online and if I had any questions to email her at the address on the card. When I looked at the website, the terms were different than what she had used, and the prices a tad different for what I thought the services should be, but I booked them and then emailed Kaitlynn to confirm I had the right services just in case it mattered for time purposes. The day/time rolled around and no return email so I assumed I had the services booked correctly, but it would have been nice to have a confirmation. I have not had a "real" salon highlight/color for probably 15 years, so I was really looking forward to the experience since this was quite a bit of money. But I wanted to treat myself and figured a real salon would be able to help my growout process. I asked Kaitlynn to take a before/after shot and tried to hand her my phone but she did it with hers and told me she'd send me the pics, which days later, I never received. I really wanted to show my friends the transformation and was bummed. It was kind of awkward after a while with silence in the chair. Being an introvert, I understand not chatting constantly but I was looking forward to the basic chit chat stylists have as they do your hair. No "so what do you do" or "Have any plans for summer", etc. I finally started asking her questions about the process, her plans for summer, the geeky topics we had in common, how stylists learn going to school, etc. I just really got the feeling she didn't want to be there, and didn't value my business and I started looking forward to when the process was finished. My hair turned out nice, the highlights blended well with the new overall color and I lost that icky orange-y tone. We will see how it looks when my hair grows a bit. Supposedly I won't have to go back to a salon for 6-8 weeks. In a nutshell.. I hadn't spent this much money on my hair in over 14 years, and the last highlight I had a few years ago at a cheap chain ruined my hair so I was super excited about this appointment, but felt let down with the nonexistent service that wasn't the actual coloring. I ended up tipping 15%, which I felt was reasonable for the experience but would have paid 20-25% for normal service. I don't know that I'd go back again. read more

Walked in today to get myself and my 2 girls haircuts. The woman said she could do them real quick without wash or blow dry. After cutting both my girls' hair, she was rude to me and said she didn't think she had time to do my hair. She ended up giving me a quick trim. What should of been a total of $30 maybe, I was charged $135 for all of us. Complete rip off! Needless to say, I will never be back to this place. read more

I have been extremely happy with Lisa Jenkins. She is very experienced and takes the time to get my hair exactly how I want it.

What a great place. I made an appointment early in the morning. Then Went there at lunch time to get a cut. I selected Victoria as my stylist. She did a great job and made me look great. Victoria also happens to be the owner and easy to work with. Of course I am moving up from a mass market shop to a shop that cares and does not over sale it self. My wife love the cut and is thinking of head over to see Victoria. I will be back in three weeks for my next cut. They do practice social distancing. read more

Do I have to give a star? Bleh. I've been with this store pretty much since they opened and they have constant turn around with employees. Probably because they wrongfully fire the good employees, and the good few that are left are extremely undervalued. Lisa is the best stylist/beautician I've been to in a very long time. Ever since I moved to Katy a few years ago I've been looking for someone to go to regularly however, I didn't find anyone I liked enough to go back to, until I found Lisa. She is very knowledgeable, has tons of experience, and lets you know what she recommends in order to get as close to your hair goal as possible. She also checked in on me after getting my hair done to make sure I liked it, which I absolutely did. I've never had a hairdresser ask how I feel after getting my hair done. I brought my 17 y/o daughter here for a "Haircut" and I was even there to help her check-in and make sure she's getting what she just wanted. I clearly heard her informed the stylist "JUST A HAIRCUT" but when I came back to pay for her it was way more than the price of a haircut and she did styled her hair which my daughter didn't asked for; obviously we're just staying home. Instead of $40 our bill was $65, even we were very disappointed I just didn't bother correcting the stylist that she just needed and said "JUST A HAIRCUT" even had to tip (of course) on top of that. I bleached and box dyed my hair at home, which came out good, but I wanted to go back to brown after only 2 weeks. Alanna did a great job! She corrected my hair and it looks like I never even bleached it. The salon itself is very nice. Modern decor and updated stations. The only recommendation I have is to put small TVs or iPads in front of the hair dryers so clients aren't bored in front of that wall- that's why I gave it 4/5. Finding a good hair stylist is no easy feat. After two years of attempting to cut my own hair and bleaching it, I've done quite a bit of damage and uneven discoloration to it. I was afraid that I would be subjected to harsh criticism or worse taken advantage of financially. After searching a few hair salons I found Elevate. I took a chance and scheduled an appointment with Suzanne. When I arrived to my appointment, Suzanne was ready and waiting for me at the front. She directed me to her chair and made an assessment of my hair. She was completely focused and told me what needed to be done to get everything balanced out. It was a process that I did not make easy for her but she really came through. I'be been going to see Suzanne for six months now and I couldn't be happier. My color has evened out and by hair cuts/blowouts are always top notch. The amount of compliments I get each time is noteworthy. Absolutely terrible service. Do not attempt to lighten the color of your hair here. They will leave bleach on you hair for hours without checking until it is burned off. No strand test was done to see how the hair would react to coloring it lighter. No regard for customer concerns whatsoever for example as the supposed "Master Colorist," Johnathan, who did the damage is currently still employed as far as I know, so beware. When asked to correct their mistake the owner, Gerardo, will find any way to take the blame away from themself. On top of that, they will add non-existent expenses such as the cost of toner in order to do a root touch up which is the same service. I feel insulted by the way they think their customers know nothing about hair care. read more
