After a whole year and a half of not returning back to Long's, today's hair coloring session was MAGNIFICENT. All the staff members are so kind and truly work so hard. Huge Thank You to Anh Long and Chị Trish for always nailing my balayage cut and color. I walked out of the salon feeling like a new woman! ‍

I am beyond happy with my service and my results. Long understood the assignment. While i never used his services before, i was able to call his shop and scheduled an appointment by text (absolutely convenient). my last stylist told me it was impossible to get my hair treated and colored to this ash grey bc of previous color. she told me i had to grow my hair out before she would work on it. I believed her but after nearly 6 months later a friend told me I didn't have to go to that extreme and it could be done with the right person. i found that person, Long. he's excellent. I was tired of color treating my grays and wanted to embrace my aging hair. it's exactly as i had envisioned. super, duper, happy with my results. recommend 10/10, will absolutely come again

Long's Hair Studio was recommended by one of my friends and I'm so glad she did. I always look for a hair studio that handles Asian hair really well since I've been burned in the past by other hair salons. The first thing I noticed was how clean and chic it looked inside. The seats were super comfortable which is important especially if your appointment is going to last 3-4 hours. I came in for a haircut but also a color consultation. I wanted to be sure that I could trust their expertise since my previous bleaching experience from another salon was horrible and it took years of growing my hair out for it to be healthy again. I was immediately assured that the color I wanted to achieve was possible after only one bleaching session. I decided on doing an ashy/caramel brown balayage. Surprisingly, they agreed on doing my balayage session that day (basically as a walk in) and I was assigned to Stella. Stella did a great job on my hair considering she did everything by herself. She was extremely patient, meticulous, and would update me on the progress as the session was going on. I also appreciated that she provided me with water and snacks midway through the session. The overall result came out better than I thought and my hair definitely still feels healthy. The pricing was reasonable, too. My haircut and balayage session came out to $295. Zelle or Venmo are their preferred payment methods. Credit cards will get charged a 2.2% convenience fee. I have to highlight that all of the workers were so accommodating. The salon stayed busy the entire time I was there and there were a lot of returning customers. Despite the salon already being closed, they still accommodated a gentleman who came in last minute since he drove pretty far. I was super impressed by the skill and service I received here and I will definitely be back.

Pros: super busy, so you know the quality is very good! My hair was looking flat and heavy and Stella did a great job with achieving what I asked for. In addition, the cost for men's haircut and perm ($23+65) is very reasonable. My boyfriend was taken care of by Vincent who did a great job. Cons: cost- women's cut is $45 and I did not ask for a wash. It is a little on the high end for a no wash hair/with a one inch trim + some layers. Even with an appointment, it took me 30 minute wait (past my appt time; I arrived ten minutes early) before I was able to sit in a chair.

I had an awesome first experience at Long's and definitely plan on returning! During my initial consultation, I had an old, grown-out blonde balayage with dark orange ends from having red hair for 8 years (see first pic). I asked for a touch-up because my roots had grown out, and Long was very patient and informative. He considered all the sample pictures I showed him and gave me a realistic explanation of how my hair might react to the treatment. Because there was still a lot of red in my hair, I needed a color correction instead of just a touch-up. On the day of the service, he treated my hair with gentle thoroughness, carefully picking out each strand for bleaching, coloring, and toning. His main challenge was getting rid of the red while keeping my hair moisturized and healthy. He was meticulous and professional but also made it look easy! I asked for the blonde highlights to be as light as possible while keeping the overall look more on the dark and subtle side because I was starting a new job and wanted to look more professional. Long followed my requests, and the result was even more beautiful than I expected. It's been 5 months and I still get compliments. Thanks so much, Long!

Tracy did such an amazing job with getting my boxed dyed and salon dyed red hair to this beautiful balayage. She took me in as a walk in and even stayed late to finish my hair. Would definitely recommend seeing her if you're in Katy, Texas!

I came here with my sister, who has been a loyal customer for over two years, and unfortunately, our most recent visit left a bad impression due to the unprofessional behavior of one of your stylists. As small business owners ourselves, we know how important it is to treat customers with respect--especially loyal ones. This experience did not reflect that standard. To the owners and management: it is important to ensure your staff are properly trained in both communication and customer service. Clear language skills and professionalism are essential in this industry. Also, not every customer is looking for discounts or free services--we are simply looking for quality work and respectful treatment. During this visit, my sister's beautiful hair was shaved in the back with a razor to correct a cut that had been done too short. Using a razor in that way on a woman's hair is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. We understand that mistakes happen. We are all human, and sometimes language barriers or misunderstandings occur. However, what matters most is how those situations are handled--with kindness, accountability, and respect. This is a business that charges premium prices, and with that comes the responsibility to train and guide staff on how to properly interact with customers. We are not asking for refunds or free services. What we expect is acknowledgment, empathy, and clear communication about next steps--instead of being immediately asked to remove a negative review in exchange for a free fix. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and uses it to improve the customer experience moving forward.

I L O V E D my new hair. I went back a second time to get my hair colored, and my hair was 3 different colors (natural roots, fed into red, fed into blonde). And I want to go platinum blonde. It's not my first rodeo, so I knew it was going to take a few sessions (3-4). However, Alanna started the process, analyzed my hair after the first stripping, and she said confidently "I can lighten it more" and asked for permission. Of course I trusted her as I've been going to her since 2017. Lo and behold! She did it! She got my hair from this trio-mess to a beautiful blonde. And she told me "maybe 1-2 more sessions to get to platinum". I'm so excited to go back and I loved that she took her time, she was patient, and it's always great catching up with her!!

It is about two inches shorter than we discussed, the stylist even admitted it was cut too short. As for framing around my face, we picked a piece of hair and I said not to go shorter than that, it was cut much shorter. I asked for long layers, which I have had for years, but the stylist and I clearly had very different definitions of what that means. The layers are very short, some at my eye level. She finished and I literally cried and said I hate it. She tried to fix the layers by texturizing them and they look a little better. Emphasis on a little. My haircut still looks incredibly dated and nothing like the picture I showed her. It still made me cry every time I caught my reflection in a mirror when I got home. The only redemption is that it somehow all fits in a ponytail. I had long, thick hair so it took over two hours to wash, cut, and dry. Maybe it was too hard for her to work with. I saw she was cutting way more than I expected, but I didn't say anything because she was the professional and I was trusting her. In hindsight, I should have said something. I know it'll grow out, but I got my hair cut because we have a family wedding next weekend and unfortunately it won't grow out that fast. I absolutely hate it and don't know how it could be fixed at this point. What are they going to do, cut it more? I've already lost most of my once thick hair. Giving two stars instead of one because the stylist was a sweet girl and didn't charge me full price. But I will never be returning.

Such a wonderful experience here!…read more I no longer live in Texas but I come home for holidays etc. to be with my family who still does. For my high school reunion last month, I needed to make sure my hair looked amazing since the water at my parent's house is disgusting compared to NYC's. I asked my cousin if she knew any salons that do a great blowout and she said she had heard of J L'Art Organic Salon from her friends! Booking on their platform did not work for me so I called to book my appointment instead. I did a 10am on a Saturday, thinking ok I'll be done within an hour... *TWO. HOURS. LATER.* (haha) Honestly probably one of the longest blowouts I've ever had but it was definitely worth it and I wasn't in a rush. The chairs they have you lie down on for your wash are sooooo comfortable. My stylist Chasity gave me THREE deep shampoos and the last one I think I fell asleep as she massaged my scalp for the longest time. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a total sucker for a hair and scalp massage. For my conditioner she massaged my scalp AGAIN and then wrapped my head in a hot towel so it was a steam mask for 5-10 minutes. Like wow. The blowout itself was done with such precision. Using the Dyson hair dryer, my hair was gathered into small sections and every flyaway was tamed. I have a lot of hair and it's pretty long so I really appreciate her commitment to the process. My hair afterwards was sooooo soft, shiny, and silky. Chasity did an amazing job! Also, they're very reasonably priced. My blowout was $50... my salon in NYC could NEVER. Such a luxurious service for such a great price! If I ever need a blowout again while visiting my hometown, I will be definitely booking an appointment here.
