For the past 10 years or so we have tried all of the others in Rochester, Royal Oak and Troy and while they have things to like, none compared to Beirut Palace. My daughter happened to see their listing in Clarkston and called to ask if there was a connection. Yes - this is run by the kids of the original Royal Oak family, and some of the same people who worked there. The son and chef remembered us, and we remembered them. On to the food. They promised "Dad's recipes" and they were not lying. The Ghallaba, Arayes, green beans, fattoush, garlic sauce and hummus were just as we remembered. My wife has become a vegan, and had the "Super Falafel" sandwich which was gigantic, and she pronounced the best she had ever had. We were all overjoyed to discover this favorite place again.
