The chicken spring rolls are true authentic Vietnamese spring rolls made with rice paper. They were, in a word, exquisite, complete with the peanut sauce. The dumplings were steamy and delicious. I think that's all I have to say. Caitlin: It has been years since I've had a fresh spring roll, and the shrimp spring rolls were ECSTASY!! The peanut sauce was delicious and plentiful, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. When my chicken pho came out, it was a portion bigger than my entire head. I ordered the special pho, bbq pork bahn mi, and the chicken wings. The pho broth lacked depth of flavor. Tasted like hotdog water. The bahn mi was the best thing that I ate. The sandwich had lots of flavor and the meat itself had a decent bbq taste. The chicken wings had good flavor but they were very small and the bigger wings had a lot of fat on them making it very unpleasant to eat. Love their beef Pho and they are generous with quantities of ingredients. I've one ever seen the one waiter working so he may be running a one man show but is sociable and friendly. Me and my wife ordered two bowls of different pho with different meat, and we were in love from the first slurp. I had beef and she had chicken, both were hit a delicious. The worst pho experience I have ever had . We ordered at work through DoorDash. They replaced one of our Beef broths with veggie broth. 3 of the meals were vegetables only . With this came 2 different vegetables carrots and some extremely scary looking mushrooms. That is it !! I've never had a veggie Pho with only 2 vegetables . Other places give broccoli,bok choy , baby corn and water chestnuts along with the carrots and sometimes baby mushrooms ( not scary canned ones ) . Not to mention this place should have put the 4 broths in a box for the DoorDash driver. We received the order and all of the styrofoam was broken ( pieces in our broth) and broth in the plastic bags holding the broth containers . What a disaster . I'm very impressed with the pho pot! I can't wait to come back and try more items. My first trip I had to try the crepe since I've never one. It was really good, but sat heavy in my stomach. My stomach is sensitive though so it might be okay for others. I have celiacs disease & heard about the pho pot from a gluten free Facebook group I'm on. Delicious pho (huge serving too) - sever recommend to bring home the left over broth so we can reheat it later at home and add our own meats and noodles! There is an anime shop and grocery market connected to the restaurant and we shopped for some groceries while there. I am over the moon! Best Vietnamese food I have had since I moved to Michigan. Such a knowledgeable staff (Gracie was so helpful), plus most of their things are already GF (like their peanut sauce). They are fully versed in preventing cross contamination and even have GF hoisin for the pho. I had tofu spring rolls and the vegetarian pho, plus boba tea for dessert...and extra spring rolls to go. I'm a big fan of pho and am so excited to have a local spot to frequent! I didn't have a ton of time to eat in tonight so I ordered carry out- #4 chicken pho and pork and shrimp spring rolls. The spring rolls were huge and amazing! I suggest the peanut sauce with a little sriracha added in! The pho broth was excellent and the portion was large. I did not enjoy the chicken in it and will definitely order the tofu and mushroom version next time. Delicious. Authentic. Kind. My wife and I chose The Pho Pot on a busy Saturday evening, not knowing anything about the restaurant. This spot is tucked away in an unassuming strip mall off of Dixie Highway just outside of Clarkston, in Waterford. Upon my arrival to pick up our carry out order (which was ready in 20 min.) I realized this restaurant had been converted into a Vietnamese/Asian goods grocery store. What a cool surprise. The owner shared that since they were unable to keep in person seating due to Covid, that they decided to put up some shelves and refrigerators and provide high quality, low cost pantry items. The vegetables are fresh and organic, and they have the makings of just about any dish you could think of. I picked up some fresh cilantro, along with some Thai iced coffees and a can of red curry paste along with my order. The food was fantastic, authentic, fresh and flavorful (Pro tip: go for the house made chili oil), but the reason I will return and recommend this place to friends and strangers is because of the kindness I experienced while chatting with the store's owner.
