I don't like posting negative reviews, but my experience with Dance Unlimited has been nothing but…read morethat. We signed our daughter up for the 3-5 year old 6-week trial ballet class earlier this year. Thankfully it was just a trial class. Weeks 1 and 2 went pretty well. On Week 3, the instructor didn't know how to get the sound system set up to work with music and spent more than half the time trying to figure it out, rather than moving on and teaching. While she was doing this, the girls were just sitting around or running to their parents. I went to the front desk to see if there was anyone who could help, only to find a note saying nobody was there and wouldn't be there for a few days. The rest of that class was spent playing freeze tag with the girls. The remaining weeks were spent essentially playing freeze tag with about ten minutes of trying to teach technique and a routine to the girls. I had conversations with several of the parents who wondered why we were bringing our children here to play a game we could play with our girls at home. Several of the parents were frustrated, and rightfully so. I tried calling the studio during business hours. Nobody answered, so I left a detailed voicemail. I never received a response. Since the class ended, I have received three additional charges to my credit card from Dance Unlimited, which should have never happened in the first place. Communication has been nonexistent, and the 3-5 year old trial class was more of a babysitting session where the girls played freeze tag. If you have young children who are genuinely interested in dance and looking to learn, if you're looking for a place that communicates well with parents, if you're looking for an experience that is anything other than frustrating, I'd suggest trying another studio.

But, it was overall a shady, pleasant hike with a great view at the end! I maybe would've go alone, just because you'd be hiking 4 hours by yourself. There's a parking lot at the trail head or street parking below that if the lot is full. Bring water and a snack!

Wow, oh, wow. This hike is a gem. The signs posted throughout the trail refer to it as "Freddy's…read moreStack Rock Trail", and this is considered an intermediate hike. To Stack Rock and back from the trailhead, this hike is just shy of 9 miles. I went with a group of friends and it took us roughly 6 hours from start to finish. How to get there: You'll find the trailhead about 13 miles up Bogus Basin rd on the left hand side. There's a larger gravel parking area on the side of the road. If you're going in the summer months, there is likely to be a lot of cars there. If you're not sure you're at the right spot, take a look at the map posted at the trailhead to ensure that it says "Freddy's Stack Rock Trail". I went with someone who had been before, so we made it there and back with no trouble. However, if it's your first time going, I recommend you read up on this loop or go with someone who has done it before. The loop breaks off into lots of other trails and it appears that it could be easy to get lost if you go into it ill-prepared. Scenery: STUNNING. There are gorgeous Ponderosa pine, and Douglas Firs surrounding the trail, as well as plentiful amounts of wildflowers. There are also lots of spots that overlook the forest and give you the opportunity to take in its grandeur. The photos I've posted give you an idea, but don't do it justice. From start to finish, this hike is beautiful. Stack Rock: I mean the trees and wildflowers are gorgeous, but this is what you do the hike for! After hiking 4-5 miles, you'll arrive at the stack rock formation. It's a bit daunting to climb, so take your steps wisely and consider how you'll get down before you go up! The views from here are truly remarkable though and absolutely worth the climb. Other things: - It's about 20 degrees cooler up here than it is down in Boise (and it's a bit windy). Bring a jacket, you'll probably want it at some point. Even if it is in the middle of the summer. - Also, bring snacks, bug spray, and sunscreen! - I had (limited) cell service for a good amount of the hike. - Lastly, for the sake of safety...don't do this hike alone. You go pretty deep into the forest. Bring a buddy. Better yet, bring 3 or 4.

Proximity from downtown to this well-kept trail makes it fun for everyone and a great hike for visitors and locals. This trail starts a bit after the main parking lots and takes a dirt road- an SUV or truck type of car is probably best for this. I would say this is for the intermediate/expert hiker. It's around 7 miles and has some steep hills. So, hiking boots or athletic shoes are a must. It takes around 2.5-3 hours and there are tons of very picturesque places to stop along the creek (or crick, as many Idahoans say). During the summer months here in Boise, it stays light out until 9-10 pm. So I love starting this hike after work hours, without the worry of it getting too dark before getting back. You can see a lot of wildlife- birds, snakes, bugs, etc. There are usually a decent amount of people who walk their dog off-leash here. Hull's Gulch Interpretive Trail vs. the other foothill trails, there tend to be more bikers and fewer hikers. If you're into mountain biking, this would be a great trail for you!

It is uphill, though not steeply so (the elevation increase throughout the duration of the trail is roughly 1000 feet). We came midmorning on a Saturday and it took our party of 3 roughly 3 hours to complete (with some stopping for picture taking). The trail follows alongside a creek and so there are some picturesque spots. At the top of the trail there is a small waterfall (the amount of water depends on the time of year and snowmelt). There are informative and poetic signs (I'm not being sarcastic--truly--they have signs with poetry!) sprinkled throughout the trail and a few lovely (wide and sturdy) foot bridges along the path as well. The road to drive to the trail head isn't paved and though could be traversed by car, there were a couple of ruts that made me glad we drove our CRV and not our Accord, so something to think about if you have a low vehicle. Also, it is quite long, so I wouldn't recommend it for little ones and the path isn't wide enough in some areas for a jogger type stroller (and too rough for a conventional one). But, for older kids with stamina, it's great! Plus, given it's a there and back hike--you could always turn around at any point if it proves to much for some! The proximity to downtown is great and at the top where the waterfall is, there is also a gorgeous vantage, through a valley between the foothills, of the downtown skyline. Fresh air, gurgling creek, and nature poetry-- Get to it!

Response update: Seeing as Tabish has decided to personally attempt to slander my review by directing attention toward the firearm I safely carry legally, which he was not aware of until I removed it for close dancing, I will have to reply. Tabish is known in the wider dance community to have sexually harassed his students and to abuse his position as an instructor in an attempt to make romantic entanglements. His behavior has earned him a reputation amongst the rest of the Boise community, which is the reason he does not show up to any social events aside from his own. Nothing Tabish has mentioned in his reply is truly relevant to the review I have left, but he is known to lie frequently in an attempt to get students to come to his classes, so it is no surprise that he is lying now about my behavior. Sound in Motion is a much better studio and is run by people who have integrity. If you see this review, I suggest you take it seriously and go there instead. Original Review: Idaho DanceSport is run by a gentleman by the name of Tabish. Tabish is a nice enough man and quite a talented dancer. Unfortunately the business approach that Tabish takes is very misleading and underhanded. He brings students into private lessons for any type of dancing that they ask for, making the assumption that they know nothing about whichever discipline they ask to learn. He then preys on this and attempts to convince students to begin learning the dance style he knows best, Bachata. When called out about this tactic, Tabish is quick to make promises to reconcile, which he does not follow through on. This includes refusing to refund money paid for lessons in a dance style that he does not know well. In addition to the above issue, Tabish's teaching style leaves much to be desired. As an instructor, he teaches to the negative "don't do this, don't do that" rather than using proven effective methods in teaching which help students retain information and relieve stress to facilitate a learning environment. This style of instructing does not encourage total participant involvement and increases the tension in class, making information retention very difficult for most students. There are much better alternatives in the valley for learning to dance. If all you are looking for is competitive dancing, Tabish may be a good fit for you. As for me, I will take my money elsewhere. read more

Jessica encourages and provides a supportive structured environment for them both to be themselves and challenges them to grow as dancers. I've watched the classes enough to see how Jessica loves all of her students and her genuine excitement when the kids land a new skill. It's a beautiful outlet for my daughters and we love the social climate of our studio. We love all of our dance friends! (: Jessica is also the real deal. She provides corrections and a strong technical framework to dance including teaching dance anatomy for the older girls to keep them safe and hit their potential.

I have spent years trying to talk my husband into taking dance lessons, when I finally gave up he surprised me with a gift certificate for mother's day. I jumped on it and booked our first lesson. We got to experience a private lesson, group class and practice party, maybe 2 private lessons, i don't remember but it was more than enough for us to fall in love with dancing. We were hooked after our first lesson!! WE, not just me, my hubby lives it too. He started watching dancing videos! All of our instructors have been great, so patient, fun and encouraging. We have one main instructor whom we adore and is incredible (we love you Mando!) But we also really enjoy dancing with the other instructors too, it's always nice to get someone else's perspective and sometimes hearing or seeing something a different way is just the path you need to finally get it. They truly are a team working together to help you be your best. We love festival time, it's probably our favorite time. We get to support our teachers and wear costumes. SO MUCH FUN! I recommend dancing at Arthur Murray to everyone. Bonus is that it has been great exercise for both of us and we are healthier than we have been in years! It's our date night, therapy sessions, gym membership and best stress reliever. Try it, you won't be dissapointed. I especially like that there is open dancing after the lessons every night. Definitely will be heading back for more dancing.

My…read moredaughter is always so excited when it's time for dance and I love that the dancers are encouraged to practice at home. We would love if one day the studio decides to use the same costumes for both recitals during the year - what a great help to parents' wallets that would be AND it would encourage us to sign-up again because we already paid for the next recitals costume! I'm glad we chose Ignite Studio!
