However, I think it's important to share my experience. Last year, I came in wanting thick Neapolitan-style highlights. Instead, I received much thinner highlights. While I didn't necessarily dislike the thinner highlights, it wasn't what I had asked for or expected. During my appointment, my stylist was also working on another client while my hair was processing, which I completely understand and don't have an issue with. The bleaching itself was excellent. My hair lifted beautifully, and I was initially very impressed with that part of the service. Unfortunately, the color application afterward was where things went wrong. The final paint job was very patchy, with some sections not fully colored at all. In several areas, the bleached hair was still clearly visible because the color hadn't been applied evenly. The toner also appeared to have missed certain sections, leaving the overall result inconsistent and unfinished. Considering I paid nearly $400 for this service, I left feeling very disappointed. I felt that the quality of the final result did not match the price I was charged. I was also surprised that a haircut was not included and would have required an additional charge. I want to emphasize again that the staff were genuinely kind and professional throughout my visit, which makes writing this review even harder. However, kindness alone can't make up for a result that didn't meet my expectations, especially at that price point. While I won't say I'll never return, it's unfortunately not very likely at this time. I sincerely hope my experience was an exception and that future clients receive results that better reflect the quality and pricing of the salon.

I came in at 9:00 am (the only slot they had- they seem to book up fast), and my photoshoot was at 4:00 so I was a little nervous- but my hair held up wonderfully and I'm obsessed with the photos. As for other logistics- they validate parking so that helps a lot. The instructions to find the place are pretty clear, I just had to double check my email when I arrived. I brought in photos of the color I wanted, the approximate length, and a verbal description of what I was looking for in a style. I was worried it would not come out well because I've had really bad experiences with getting my hair cut (see previous review of Fringe), but this place went above and beyond. I got the exact cut I wanted and the color is spot-on. Apparently this salon is pretty new (only open for a few months). But if you're considering coming here - do it. You won't regret it. Isis spent A LOT of time on my cut and color (almost 3.5 hours) and it only cost $85!! Amazing. Even with the $20 tip, that's still significantly less than most places in D.C. would charge. She was thorough, very nice, and continually asked me if I was okay (is the water too warm or cold when shampooing? How long would you like the side-sweep? Do you want some water?). It's rare to find this level of professionalism, courtesy, and talent with such a reasonable price tag. Especially in the D.C. area. I needed a stylish, yet professional cut with a rich and vibrant color. I got it. I'm so ecstatic with this haircut. It's gorgeous. I will definitely be coming back.
