Beautiful setting. View of the museum from the window is lovely but the ambience inside is lackluster. Food is ok . . . Nothing memorable. They were out of many things on the menu. The toasted bread with the pâté was soggy. Scotch eggs were disappointing with soggy crust. Filet was OK. But the rest of the meal lacked flavor and originality. The service is horrible!!! Light lunch for two. Shared the beans and cornbread and a Caesar salad (without any added meats). Best beans either of us have ever eaten. Perfectly cooked and seasoned in a rich ham broth, cut with a generous dollop of olive oil. The cornbread was also delicious. The Caesar salad's lettuce was crisp and fresh, not buried in dressing and they didn't skimp on the shaved Parmesan. Blueberries provided a very welcome tart fruity note to the salad. Also worth noting is the very nice wine and beer selection. All of this for a reasonable price compared to many museum restaurants, which seem to think that they should be as costly as the art. Lunch service is counter ordered and delivered to your table, but once a week they offer dinner service with a waiter. The dining area is expansive and well lit, but can be a bit noisy when busy, thanks to hard surfaces in every direction. read more

This review is our dinner experience. We have eaten here for lunch several times and it was wonderful. The view from Eleven is just beautiful and should be experienced if you visit Bentonville. However, this evening the food was just OK and it took 55 minutes for it to get to our table. The excuse was they had a set of large tables that slowed the kitchen way down. Sorry, as the customer, I don't care about your staffing issues or coordination. To be fair, the waitress tried to be attentive but it got really awkward because it took so long. read more

Eleven serves dinner on Wednesdays and Fridays. We had the "pairings" Friday night, 5/29/2015. The Sauvignon Blanc paired with the traditional Jewish salad (based on one of the paintings in the Rothko to Van Gogh exhibit) was outstanding! The Espresso rubbed filet over grits was flavorful and so tender. My table enjoyed the paired Pinot Noir. The Prosecco paired with the lavender honey creme brûlée was ok - but the dessert was lush. As much as the food, the architecture of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art (where Eleven resides) is breathtaking and well worth the visit. read more

I travel to this area every month for work, and last month, my boss and I decided to visit the museum. We truly adored it (still do!), and we decided to return to eat at Eleven and view the collection again. We had appetizers, which were delicious, and most of the food was delicious. I ordered the pork chop on our servers recommendation. I took a handful of bites around the edges, and the sauce and sides were delicious. Because the cut of meat was massive, I decided to slice it between the bones right down the middle. When I did so, I discovered the middle of the meat was uncooked. This wasn't just rare-- it looked raw. Our server came to check on us and he commented that the meat was very rare, and I agreed that I wouldn't eat it. He offered to show the chef and the manager the meat, and he returned offering to cook it through and box it up for me. I explained that I'm traveling and couldn't really take it to my hotel room/eat it later. When the check came, the pork chop was still on the bill. We very politely expressed our disappointment, and our server again asked the manager how to remedy the situation. Instead of coming to our table to address us himself, the manager sent the poor, sweet server back to us for the third time, saying the manager stands by the chef and since I didn't complain in a timely enough manner and didn't want to take it home in a box, there's nothing they could do for us. It was an incredibly bizarre way for such a beautiful, high end restaurant to handle such a situation. We would've loved to have been approached by the manager himself, if only to address the mistake by the kitchen and to let us know our satisfaction as the customers matters to them. We didn't care about paying for the dish until we were treated as if we were just trying to get something for free. (Not by our server-- he was so apologetic and just, inappropriately, the messenger.) After we paid for the meat, the server brought us the meat boxed up by the chef-- this felt like an insult, as we stated many times that we had no where to take it to eat it later, and that that solution didn't work well. We were disappointed in how our experience ended. We wanted so badly to love everything about this place! So, to sum things up-- the food (minus an undercooked piece of pork) was delicious. Delicious food and great atmosphere. Before dinner, we went through the Georgia O'Keeffe exhibit. We made a reservation for our wedding anniversary and were congratulated several times during our meal. We had the crispy bread & butter mushroom pickles, the herb brined chicken breast, and the confit leg of lamb. For dessert, we had a peach and strawberry pie with vanilla ice cream. Dinner for four. Making reservations is ridiculous. You leave a message and just don't know if you got anything until you show up. For the 5th time we had server Robyn. She hasn't bothered to learn the wine pairings in over a year and a half. Constantly gets the menu wrong. Asking about a wine flight leads her to let you know they have wine flown in. Ugh. Had salmon over cooked. The beet pickled eggs are awesome. The architecture is great, however you're paying $60 per person for a meal while sitting next to Jim bob in flip flops and a tommy Bahama shirt. Has the potential to be wonderful, 5th time and every meal is over cooked. Will only go when forced or I forget the last meal. read more

We are visiting Crystal Bridges Museum today and had a delightful lunch at Eleven restaurant in the museum complex! We had the seafood salad roll, specialty extra crispy chips and soft drinks. The seafood rolls were some of the best we've ever had! Beautiful place and delicious food! read more

This place has a huge amount of potential, and perhaps it's not fair to judge based on one experience - but the one I had was pretty bad. I'm sure they're still working out some kinks. I had the opportunity to dine here recently as a part of a holiday dinner for my wife's co-workers and their guests. There were nine of us total. The restaurant was pretty full, but appeared orderly. The space and decor are visually stunning, jut like the rest of the museum. So from the moment you enter, expectations are high. The menu was pretty solid with choices for just about anyone - but not overwhelming. Everything had a local flavor to it. There are few enough items on there that they should be able to execute them all well. There's also a pretty good wine list. I didn't do any of the wine ordering, so I didn't get a glimpse and I'm not sure how pricey they were. They have a semi-full bar (limited liquor choices) and the beer list is pretty small. I had their Maker's Manhattan which was the evening's drink special. Tasted like a Manhattan to me. Appetizers were pretty good. There was a shellfish cocktail, which I didn't try, as well as something called "The Arkansas Traveler" which was really good. It was basically a take on a hummus/olive plate, with all local ingredients like white bean hummus, instead of the traditional chickpea. Unfortunately this was the highlight of the meal. Somewhere between our appetizers and our entree, it was like the servers completely forgot we were there. On the one hand this was OK because our waiter was off-putting (more on this in a bit), but it was well over 1/2 hour between the time our apps were cleared and the entrees arrived. When the entrees did finally arrive, just about everything was cold, and they had mixed up a couple of the table's special requests/substitutions. This place is too expensive for these types of errors. The food quality was good ingredient-wise across the board...but you also need to cook it properly and get it out the door on time. I had the filet, which was $24. I ordered it medium, but in addition to being barely room temperature on top of cold mashed potatoes it was overcooked. Had the dish been hot and cooked properly it probably would have been much better. All the components of a good meal were there. Bummer. The manager did stop by to see how we were doing, and we let him know about the wait and the cold food. I will say that they were apologetic and offered to re-heat our plates...but that usually just makes it worse. So they bought everyone a piece of cake for dessert. They're trying, which is a good sign. OK, now for the waiter. He was a complete shithead. There's just no other way to say it. He tried to get into the act a way too much, laboring through two or three long and terrible jokes that might have been appropriate for a fishing trip with his buddies, but not at a nice dinner. He seemed to think this was his territory to "hold court". He was also completely oblivious to the fact that the table was laughing because he was creating an uncomfortable situation for just about everyone. I never complain about a guy trying to be friendly and have a good sense of humor, but this guy was just way over the top. For instance, there were two, pretty openly gay men in our dinner party when he referred to one of the restaurant managers as having "a little sugar in the tank". Clueless and inappropriate in most venues...but especially this one. On the plus side, he did have a great grasp of the menu. I'll probably come back to this place at some point since the museum is truly spectacular and looking at art makes me hungry. Hopefully they'll have their shit together by then and I can update with a great review. But my first try was pretty disappointing. read more

Absolutely the best brunch I've ever had. Amazing prices and service! This place should become a Bentonville Sunday destination. Besides the views and open air canopy, the selection and presentation of food is AMAZING. I live on Nantucket Island, and there may be ONE place on Island that can even touch this food. Very happy for whoever runs this and very hopeful that it continues. Seriously unexpected quality, flavors, attention to detail, and feel. Beware of eating at Eleven with more than a couple of individuals. The service is slow and be prepared to be handed off to multiple individuals. Finally, carefully review your receipt. They claim to automatically add gratuity of 20% for more than 8, however our table 6 was charged the 20%. Despite deducting this on my receipt and still providing a generous tip, the restaurant fraudulently charged me the full amount despite the total authorized on the credit card receipt which I signed. This is 100% fraudulent and I would never recommend anyone to visit this restaurant. Sadly, the food is very good, which is why I provided 2 stars, however the service doesn't deserve a star. Truly shameful and unacceptable behavior for a restaurant in such a magnificent museum. Please visit another downtown Bentonville restaurant and enjoy a brief walk to the museum. read more

Went here for a wedding and also had the reception at the same place. The event coordinator is a joke, she did as little as possible especially for how much money this place makes on room reservations. Food was not only terrible but way over priced for what it was. Do yourself a favor ad just visit the museum and eat before hand. read more

This restaurant is located inside the American art museum in Bentonville Arkansas. The museum is beautiful and one cannot beat the setting with glass all around the dining area. However, Eleven restaurant was somewhat noisy for dinner dining and our waitress, while very sweet, clearly did not really know her menu and she really couldn't answer a couple of questions we had about the menu -- altho she tried to answer our questions. The food was really fairly mediocre although the menu descriptions sure made the dining options sound delicious. So this is really an average place to dine within a great setting. A side note: I returned to visit the museum the following day on my own. I stopped at the coffee bar that is basically just to the side of the Eleven dining room. I had a wonderful cappuccino, the specialty flavor of the day that I recollect as raspberry infused. It was delicious so I would recommend the coffee bar. Just FYI. read more

Very disappointing. The fruit salad on the same plate with the pulled half sandwich. Gravy was everywhere on the fruit salad that my boyfriend was eating. I had their famous burger and it was cooked well done when they had told me that it was going to be medium. The worst part was that it had NO FLAVOUR!! . Very very disappointing. We had a 6:30 reservation. We were quickly seated, but the dining experience went downhill quickly after that. We waited fifteen minutes before six menus could be located. We were given two menus at a time in three intervals. Our waitress was aloof and not interested. The first two drinks we ordered were not available. Entrees were not served until 7:45. We really wanted to like this restaurant, but the wait was long and the food overcooked and cold when it was finally served. Three people had the New York Strip. All were ordered medium rare, yet were served well done and cold. The halibut was good. The pork loin tough, salty, and inedible. We brought out of town guests to the museum and were very embarrassed by the poor service and inferior food. The manager offered to bring us dessert or a latte, which was nice, but we turned down. Nothing at that point could make up for such a terrible dining experience. The manager did not charge us for the three steaks. I'm not sure he realized just how terrible the meal really was. He seemed somewhat polite, but annoyed and made excuses. Normally we would give a restaurant a second try, but not even a free meal could tempt us back to Eleven. Save your money and eat somewhere on the Square. We wished we would have chosen The Hive or Table Mesa. read more
