I stayed at the Inn that the restaurant is located. I've only tried breakfast but each dish has been spot on. Service is quick and super friendly. Tyler took care of me the times I visited and was always attentive. The vibe is casual but you also feel like you're in a legit restaurant and not just at a hotel bar.

The best bite in Fayetteville is the beef tenderloin! My, oh my!!! We had reservations to celebrate our anniversary & could not wait to have the Ella's experience. Upon arrival, we were the only people in the entire restaurant. I waited at the hostess stand for a bit & at least 3 people walked by, not one acknowledging me. At least we were seated & let's just say we were unimpressed with the service. We both had questions about the wine & cocktail list, but the staff couldn't answer them. We had a divine baked feta appetizer, the venison medallions & the beef tenderloin between 2 of us. It was way too much food, but we finished every last morsel! If you visit during the summer, know that there's not much to the "experience" or ambiance. But if you're looking for amazing food, it is worth the while!

Great food! We went for gradation weekend so we were expecting it to be pack and have slow service but the service was excellent!

I was surprised by how good this was for breakfast and it not being my typical cup of tea. The eggs were great. The potatoes were really good and fresh. The rosemary was not overbearing. Probably some of my favorite breakfast potatoes I've had in NWA. I was skeptical of the sausage as it was fluffy but it was very flavorful. The preserves and toast surprised me a lot. It was delicious. The portions were small however it was just right to where you don't get full. Service for a Sunday at 1030am was quick. It was not packed either. I would say as of right now this is my favorite breakfast place in Fayetteville. I've ate their dinner before but I am more impressed with the breakfast.

My kids went to u of a and so I spent a good 6-7 years staying at the inn at Carnall Hall. We went there for a late brunch today and it has changed a lot! However, we still loved it! I had the eggs Benedict Florentine, and it was PERFECT! Mike had some basic breakfast, I can't remember the name, but he loved it! He also had biscuits and gravy. I tried a bite or there and they were delish!!! He also tried blueberry pancakes (he can EAT! He's 6'3" and runs every single day so he can put away his grub haha!). He said the pancakes were the highlight of his meal but I didn't try them or photograph them. To be fair, if you've had perfect eggs Benedict why try anything after?!

Great boucherie board! Our service was lovely, and we all enjoyed our meals. I was able to substitute chicken for extra butternut squash ravioli because I'm vegetarian. It was nice they were about to accommodate the dietary restriction. I dropped a star because there was no information on the wine selection because the staff hadn't tasted any of the bottles! Also, the ravioli was good, but a bit too salty. The seabass was slightly over cooked as well. Nothing catastrophic.

This was my second time dining at Ella's table, and the food was just excellent. The beef tenderloin with potatoes and burnt ends were to die for. Service was a bit slow at first because our server had been triple sat. There was a small rush of people that showed up around the same time, but we didn't mind the wait. I didn't even get to snag a photo of my meal, so I'll share a picture of my clean plate :)

Do not waste your time and money on less than average expensive food at a restaurant with zero ambience. It was a complete letdown.

A well established hangout for Hog Fans especially on game day and you may even run into some Razorbacks legends while you are there. Pros: Consistent, quality food at a reasonable price. Great menu selection from crepes to steaks and everything in between. Cons: Hugo's is a basement restaurant location. This means seating is limited and the wait can be long. The stairs leading down to the restaurant can be hard to navigate if you are physically impaired, and depending on the day or time of the it can get quite noisy. If stairs, togetherness and nosiy spaces are not your thing, then this isn't the establishment for you. Overall, you can't go wrong with the food or hospitality, and if you're a Razorback fan, student, or alumni of the University of Arkansas dining here is a right of passage. Highly recommended Hugo's... come be a part of a Fayetteville tradition!

The place is always busy so prepare for a 30-40 minute wait as we went on a Monday during the summer break and they were still busy around 7pm. The place has been around since 1917??? so everyone wants to try an ole' original while in town. It is in the basement so low ceilings and it is fairly noisy but the place is worth it as it is all part of the nostalgia. Their desserts are worth saving room for. The apple pie and mint ice cream are my favs!!

Driving through Fayetteville, I had to stop at Hammontree's Grilled Cheese. I've seen this place…read moreall over the internet for years, so it finally made the list. First impressions were a bit mixed. The restaurant was quiet, but the floors were noticeably dirty, and the restrooms were just okay. Nothing outrageously bad, but definitely not as clean as I would expect for such a slow night. The service was probably the biggest disappointment. Our server wasn't rude, but she wasn't particularly welcoming either. She took our order, dropped off the food, and brought the check without ever really checking back in. There were only three occupied tables in the restaurant with three servers working, so it wasn't like they were overwhelmed. One thing that really stood out was that every employee in the dining room except the bartender had headphones either in their ears or hanging around their necks. It gave the impression that customer service wasn't much of a priority. I started by ordering a sweet tea, only to be told they don't have it because they brew their tea in-house and "can't add sugar." That explanation seemed a little odd. I switched to a Coke instead, which turned out to be one of the flattest fountain drinks I've had in a long time. After a few sips, I gave up and just drank water. Now for the part that really matters: the food. We ordered the Kids Rookie grilled cheese and the Big Dog from the kids' menu, along with the Cheebacca and the Brie's Company. We also couldn't leave without trying the Blueberry Grilled Cheese for dessert. The only real miss on the food side was the chips. They were stale, cold, and almost rubbery. Honestly, they were some of the worst house chips you could possibly have. The sandwiches deserve a much better side, or they'd honestly be better off taking the chips off the menu altogether. The kids' meals were an incredible value at only $5 each. My 5-year-old couldn't decide between a grilled cheese and a hot dog, so he got both. The Big Dog was excellent--hot, juicy, and grilled just long enough to get those perfect char marks. The Rookie was exactly what you'd want for a picky eater: simple, cheesy, and well made. The Cheebacca ($12) was packed with sharp white cheddar, house cheese, bacon, pulled pork, grilled onions, and a garlic cilantro sauce on sourdough. Every ingredient complemented the next, and nothing overpowered the sandwich. Easily one I'd order again. The Brie's Company ($12) was the surprise of the meal. Grilled apples, Brie, Gouda, caramelized onions, and fig jam on sourdough sounded adventurous, but it absolutely worked. Sweet, savory, rich, and balanced all at once. If you're willing to step outside the traditional grilled cheese, this one is worth trying. Then came dessert. The Blueberry Grilled Cheese ($7.25) combines mascarpone, cream cheese, fresh blueberries, and honey between slices of grilled pound cake. It sounds unusual, but somehow it's fantastic. It's one of those desserts that makes you question why you've never had it before. Awkwardly delicious in the best possible way, and absolutely worth ordering. Overall, Hammontree's is a place where the kitchen is doing almost everything right while the front of house leaves quite a bit to be desired. Cleaner dining areas, better service, and replacing those terrible chips would easily push this into 4 star territory. As it stands, the food absolutely lives up to the hype, but the overall experience holds it back. If you're passing through Fayetteville, it's still worth stopping in. Just skip the chips, order one of the specialty grilled cheeses, and don't leave without trying the dessert.
