Located around the intersection of Schaumburg and Roselle Roads, it's a nice calm diversion from a busy day. It includes small stores, the grandiose Schaumburg Library, a man-made pond and a clock tower area dedicated to military branches. We visited around Christmas at night and the lights that were on display on the various trees and clock tower were amazing. We also enjoyed the statues surrounding the pond to include an open area for events and such. The clock tower had benches and a nice recognition display of all the services, also they had tiles underfoot I believe one can purchase to display time in the military, which I plan on doing someday soon. Night or day this The Town Square Center is worth checking out in my opinion.

I've been coming here for many many years. This was THE spot to chill. Used to be more restaurants…read moreand coffee shop. Now there's not much. Used to have 200+ cars hanging on the weekends. Now the new security as of July 2026 is very gung-ho about not allowing ppl to "congregate" or "loiter" or "hang out" in the parking lots anymore. They are not allowing motorcycles or cars to just come to hang out like we've done for years. Yes, there are a few bad eggs, as with any groups of people, but for the most part people are just hanging out, taking pictures of cars, chilling, conversing and even patronizing the businesses that are there. Apparently, even if you go to the shops there you cannot enjoy your drinks or stuff in the parking lots anymore. In lieu of that, I hope that the place fails and businesses are going to suffer bc of it. Oh well. Find a new place to chill.

They also have a restaurant, not sure what it was called, located on the second floor, the food was pretty good. I also like the atmosphere of cute little shops like this one. I didn't find anything at the antique shop but I'm sure someone has found treasures ;)

With that said, this is worth a visit just to see the botique mall set in an old ice house. Chessie's in a railroad dining car built by Pullman is quite interesting as well as the original Barrington Train Station exterior that it was built on. The mall itself has a very unique look to it that is something rare to see and experience -- even if you are just walking through the common areas.
