I hired Ellief Brothers to replace the roofs on my house and barn after storm damage. Unfortunately, I've had ongoing issues with the barn roof. Every time it rains or snows, it leaks. Instead of taking responsibility, they attempted to blame me for their improper installation. They were also not upfront about the total cost until after the old roof had already been removed. Additionally, no waivers or disclosures regarding the installation were ever presented or signed. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this company and believe you would be better off hiring a smaller contractor who provides better workmanship at a fraction of the cost. Looks like we were right to be suspicious of the so-called "head roofer" back in February. One of the owners was here (Steve) and not only was he unaware of our problem, he went up there to look for himself and he said my skylight is FULL of water and he's never seen such a thing. He "sealed the snot out of them" as I typed. If the "head" had talked to his boss, this likely would've been fixed ages ago...or at least as soon as it was warm enough for the sealer to work. So, three stars from the review I wrote in 2018, one from February, five from today, average them out...back to three stars. But remember: Steve himself is five stars (and probably Paul is, too). They actually care about their own business! Their employees? Probably like any place...depends on who you get. read more

Got 1 star because they don't have negative stars...horrible work ..face nails through my siding..Destroyed our eve's troughs when doing the old shingle removal...the. Charged us to replace what the damaged. Started the job in the early spring and still haven't finished a punch list....in my opinion they are hacks who hire cheep labor and change too much for shotty work..they will never be a recommendation from me !! And the eves fall the wrong way so water builds up in them ..when they replaced the siding that they broke they changed us for that too....Horrible !! Hacks R Us !! Ordered a new outside door 9 weeks ago and put just over 1/2 down. Called and checked the status last Fri and they finally called back, after making a 2nd call and 3 business days later. He first said they needed to remeasure, the door was never ordered and it would be another 2-3+ weeks to come in. To their credit, they did agree that refund my entire deposit. My question is: 1. What kind of follow up system, if any do they have? 2. Was my job not large enough for them? 3. Why not just tell me the door was never ordered, instead of giving me an excuse? read more

I have not had the pleasure of having Elieff brothers doing my roof yet , but after meeting and really connecting with Steve the owner i know that in the future I will do business with them ! I had paid a down payment and had told Steve that my roof was leaking and since we still had quite a few months before they were going to come out he had his guys over very quickly to temporarily fix the leak. shortly after we decided to go with them we had a huge unexpected hit financially that ended up causing us to have to push our roof back quite a ways( not sure when we will be able to get it done) I called Steve, the owner and he was absolutely amazing and understanding of my situation , this man said that we was going to give me back my deposit , which he did not have to do! this is the definition of a standup guy , not just the quality of his work but as well as his professionalism. They replaced the roof, siding and Windows. Work was okay, but... They put the wrong color shingles on the roof and would not fix it. We stopped them before a single shingle was layed and told them it was not correct. They did it anyways. We wanted The roof color to match The shed and gazebo, of course that did not happen. The roof workers were smoking heavly on the roof and we had open had open skylights because they were being replaced. Are house stunk for weeks even though we asked them not to smoke near the house. They also had a trash trailer to put there trash in, but used ours granger bin instead. They left trash in the yard after they were done and did not clean it up. They were very rude to my wife and son. Even though the contract said to remove the old siding ( wood) they refused to do it. They never did the siding under the balcony. The trim around the Windows were all different sizes (we did get them to replace this after complaining enough). However the person that was subcontracted to do the Windows did an excellent job and was extremely professional. His work was stellar. read more

Had my roof replaced last autumn by Elieff Brothers and can now highly recommend their service. Steve Elieff is a great guy to do business with. Very knowledgeable and gave a competitive quote. Pat Jansen kept an eye on the crew as they replaced all shingles and a few boards in one day. Yard was cleaned up afterwards. Cooper came over with a shop vacuum to clean up debris from a hole in the ceiling. Eugene also did a terrific job of patching up the hole. Carol clarified all billing questions. Overall an excellent job by everyone who all went above and beyond expectations. I recommended Elieff Brothers to my boss and he is also extremely happy with the job they recently did. read more

Let me start with this crew that did my roof was amazing ! I use to roof for a few years so I am one of the most anal people when it come to having a crew do your own roof. Not only did they completely surprise me on how great of a job they did but they seriously go the extra mile ! For example they will take the siding off of your house just to run ice and water up the side of your walls so u have not only 1 protective layer but 3, ice and water, flashing and shingles this is a triple protection that will last so many years! And when it came to making sure everything was done correctly and and on time the project manager Mario is the man to deal with ! If you can request this man to over see your roof you will not only have a great experience with him but it will also be fun! And the best part is he is super knowledgeable and not just with the roof, but with your siding, windows and all ! And this project manager legit does not let the roofing crew go home until he has personally walked around your yard at least a dozen time double, triple checking to make sure everything is as perfect as possible! I will only be using elieff brothers for all of my roofing,siding and window needs ! read more

Poor communication is the name of the game. We started the process of having a deck installed right as COVID was beginning, and at the time were told by the salesman how the company was buying a large stockpile of supplies in case of possible shortages. We signed the contract, paid a deposit, and were told it would be about 3 weeks for work to begin. That time came and went, and I tried to call and get an update. I learned there's only about a 20% chance of ever being able to talk to someone who can answer your questions. The rest of the time your issue will need to be forwarded on to someone else who will never call you. I called twice and had my issue forwarded and was only able to get someone to give me a call with answers after submitting through their online form. We were eventually told it would be 3 more weeks. That time came and went again and never heard anything again. Repeat the process of trying to get a hold of someone with the same poor results, eventually being told that they are waiting on supplies. 2 more weeks comes and goes, and once again told they are waiting on supplies and we have the option of getting a refund or waiting for supplies to come in. Opting to wait for supplies and assuming that massive stockpile they said they were going to buy should be kicking in, 2 more weeks pass by and after another unreturned call eventually opted for the refund. I'm not even mad that they were unable to do the work it was the absolute piss-poor communication: the unreturned calls, the complete lack of follow-ups or updates, and just overall minimal to no effort to keep the customer satisfied. read more
