Quianna my hair stylist was exceptional! She was prompt to answer and set up an appointment. She was very courteous and knowledgeable about different hair types and styles that would flatter me. Quiana was incredibly careful when cutting my hair and professional! I am so thankful I was able to schedule an appointment with her as many people and even other businesses recommended her as a hair stylist. Having an island heritage, I have been blessed with waist long, thick, curly black hair. Being in Novato and seeing a blowout sign, I decided to give it a try, I was skeptical to say the least. Most places double the advertised price when they see me, Robyn still only charged me the $40 for a blow out, that included an arm work out for her. I have to say her blow outs are the best I've had. I still have lots of body, and she takes special care around my edges, ironing our those pesky little baby hairs. Recently, Robyn added thermal styling to my blowouts. Disclaimer: I have only gone here to get my nails done by Ashley (so this is kind of a review for her) But, each time I am here the stylists are always super nice and welcoming. They are usually busy, which is a good sign! If you want to get your nails done this is the place to go! Ashley is totally sweet and an absolute professional! She is creative with not only her designs but is a perfectionist and really wants you to love what she is doing. ABSOLUTELY. AMAZING. The wonderful ladies at Elise Armeen made me feel my absolute best for prom! A bit of disclosure, I was the very lucky recipient of their Prom Package Giveaway on Facebook (personally, I just think it's amazing that they would do something as generous as that). Even though I wasn't a paying customer per se, these amazing ladies didn't give me anything less than their best; I was treated like a queen! Jennifer gave me the most enjoyable manicure and pedicure I have ever had! She is the sweetest and is very easy to talk to! Time flew by when she did my nails. And as for my nails, they are absolutely gorgeous! I love the color and how long they are lasting (she gave me a Shellac top coat). Jennifer is the best! Robyn got my thick, straight hair to behave, curling it and pinning sections up to last through the entire night! She is focused and meticulous, working efficiently while paying attention to the most minute details. My hair turned out exactly - if not better - than what I had imagined, all thanks to Robyn!! Melanie did my makeup flawlessly! Through the whole process she was completely considerate to my preferences and talked me through it; after knowing that I wear relatively minimal everyday makeup, she constantly reminded me that when I look in the mirror at first, the eyeshadow would look really heavy. Thanks to her thoughtfulness and masterful work, I came out looking absolutely glamorous and feeling like a diva! And not only is she skilled, but Melanie is also super friendly and sweet too! I followed Quianna here all the way from San Diego! (Granted I live in San Ramon now but she's worth the drive every 6 weeks!) Nobody does my hair like her no matter what look I'm going for. Plus she gives amazing shampoos (ladies & gents, let's be honest, it's probably your favorite part aside from walking out w/ fresh roots! & cut!) Addendum to previous review I have yet to receive refund as promised. I also have received multiple texts from Jennifer saying it's my fault that my nails chipped/ the polish came off that she is sorry I came in. And that she is sorry she took me because I was 'desperate' and that I took advantage of her. 1. I made an appointment to be pampered 2. I did not take advantage of anyone 3. All I wanted was to receive care. 4. There was no special arrangement here... just a manicure pedicure that was not fixed 5. I live around the corner from this salon all she needs do is drop a refund off and this is over. 6. I went to another salon to fix the polish so I am now 'out' 70 dollars. This was not just a 'chip' the polish COMPLETELY came off at least 5 nails. I'm disturbed that Jennifer has 'blamed me' for her work. Also I was moving but I also work in the grocery business and the salon I went to to fix after this disappointing experience has lasted for at least 2 weeks. Please send refund. read more

Ashley kolodziej is so good at what she does! I recommend her to everyone! She is creative, professional, friendly and gives you exactly what you are looking for. The products that she uses are top of the line so the gel actually stays on and dosent peal off and she is super willing to try any art or design you can come up with. I'm so thankful I found this salon. I'm from Arizona and could not find a stylist in California to do my hair in a way that I liked. I tried several and ended up disappointed every time. My mom finally found Elise Armeen Salon and tried it on a whim. Her hair looked fantastic so I asked where she went, and she told me how awesome ROBIN is. I went to her a few days ago and she did so great! She really listened to what I wanted and did a beautiful job. The colors are so pretty! She's easy to talk to and surprisingly isn't overpriced! Many places in California (especially in Marin County) are really pricey. This place isn't cheap but won't leave you feeling uncomfortable that you spent so much. I highly recommend Robin. I have used the services of both Kimbria (hair) and Jennifer (nails). I am so blessed to have them both in my life because without them I'd look like a hobo. Kimbria has taken me from blond to brown, to blond, to brown, and back to blond again over the last 5+ years....who knows how long it will stay blond again. If you are looking for a great colorist and stylist, Kimbria is your girl. I needed a cut and a color and I needed it that day. I found Elise Armeen Salon on Groupon and called them up. I got Quianna Gomez and I am so happy to say that I got a wonderful, experienced and very talented woman! She made extra room for me to get in that day which was so very kind. She made me feel like a million bucks when I left her salon. Quianna has just moved here from many years of experience in La Jolla. I have to say that you need to call her before her client base gets as big as the one she left in La Jolla. She is so professional, so talented, and such a sweet and kind person. She is smart, very aware of the latest trends, and uses really good hair color products. I am middle aged and I have allergies to everything. What I really liked about the salon is that it is in an older building with large rooms and high ceilings. It has big windows that are open with fresh air coming into the salon. No problems for me when Quianna used the hair color on me. There was plenty of fresh air coming into the room so that I wasn't thrashed with fumes! Quiana's studio is in a big room all to herself. I loved the feeling of really taken care of! There is nothing negative I have to say about this salon.
