Well after a few weeks the GM Michael DeMarco from Elite Acura contacted me on October 8, 2018 and offered to repair the oxygen sensor for free. I had purchased the sensor to fix myself but Elite Acura fixed it for free and even gave my husband a loaner for the day. I rarely post comments but was very upset when it seemed I was "duped" into buying someone else's problem, but Elite Acura made good and I wanted to give credit where credit is due. I am a previous customer of Elite Acura. As my lease was up I wanted to get a new Acura. Eddie Ross was my salesman when I arrived and he seemed to only be interested in making me feel small, unknowledgeable and that I was getting a "great deal" for the mislead information he was giving me. He made me feel I was not good enough for an Acura and when I called back to communicate with him he never responded to me. His lack of support of caring about my needs really urked me when you are a salesman afterall. After shopping around everywhere since I got such a bad taste in my mouth from Eddie Ross. Review is for service center. Scheduled my B1 service online, for 3pm on a Friday, came in early at 1:30pm, and had my oil changed, parking brake adjusted, multi point inspection, and car washed all by 2:30pm. I worked with Ben, who explained the rest of the things that I will need done to my car as found by the technician. To boot, credit card payments were taken right at the Service desk. Making the whole process even faster. Dealerships are always a little daunting to deal with, but I'm glad Elite Acura is nearby. CONSUMER ALERT: My worst experience in purchasing a used vehicle. I write this review to warn other potential buyers that are considering doing business with Elite Acura to be careful before accepting a new vehicle or a pre-owned vehicle. In my situation, I had limited time to investigate a 2012 VW Routan because I am caring for an elderly parent with cancer. I explained my situation to "Eddie Ross" who said he was one of the Sales Managers and as such was quite familiar with this Routan that was recently take in on trade. I informed Eddie that Saturday (1/18/2020) I would be driving almost 60 miles to Elite Acura from Galloway and I would only have time to do a very quick test drive and sign the paperwork. I also explained that my wife was a nurse and had to be back at work no later than 4:00pm. In response, Eddie assured me that he took the Routan out for a very long test drive and as my eyes and ears he wanted me to know this Routan was one of the nicest mini-vans Elite Acura has ever had in its inventory and it showed little to know signs of prior wear and was about as close as one can get to being a perfect used car. Honestly, that was all i needed to hear from Elite and Eddie sold me on the Routan. On Saturday, January 18, 2020 at approximately 1:45pm, Eddie pulled up the Routan in front of Elite's showroom so my wife and I could test drive the vehicle. I drove the vehicle for a short 10 minute ride. Upon exiting the vehicle I noticed the cover was missing from the driver's power seat control. I asked Eddie to have Elite just order this plastic piece and I would install it. Eddie balked at Elite paying even ten dollars for this part and said this was a used car and it was not Elite's responsibility to replace that missing cover. Obviously, like most consumers spending thousands of dollars purchasing a used car, my wife and I were very troubled at the pure cheapness to refuse to order a part that I was willing to install. I asked Eddie what if I did not go through with the purchase because Elite refused to pay for a replacement cover? Eddie's response was I can do whatever I want to do and they will just sell the Routan to someone else. My wife and I were then concerned with other damage that was not disclosed based upon Elite's reluctance to cover the cost of an inexpensive plastic cover piece. My wife and I decided to go through with the purchase even if Elite would not pay for the cover piece. After signing all the documents, we proceeded to drive my wife to work. We stopped a short distance from Elite Acura because my wife noticed a broken switch that controlled the driver's side power window. The plastic switch was sitting loose on top of the master control on the driver's door armrest. Further, when the vehicle was being detailed during the time I was in the office signing the documents, somehow the Routan was damaged by a few scrapes to the paint. We decided to drive right back to Elite Acura and speak with Eddie about obtaining a replacement of window switch and scrapes to the paint. My wife ran in to Elite's showroom to get Eddie. Eddie came out and walked over to the Routan and told me that Elite would not pay for a replacement window switch and that I might have broken it after driving away. I explained to Eddie that prior to the detail and after the test drive, the switch was attached and could only have come loose when the vehicle was being detailed. Eddie told me in no uncertain terms this is my vehicle now and Elite will not be paying for anything else other than the power seat switch cover and I was welcome to sue the dealership as that was my right. Furthermore, when we were driving to my wife's work, there was a warning message that displayed which read a "required oil change was overdue". Previously, Eddie stated the Routan like all of Elite's pre-owned vehicles offered for sale go through an extensive inspection by Elite's Service Department and any necessary work is performed. Therefore, he figured that Elite's technician must have forgotten to reset the oil service reminder. I am not satisfied with that explanation that the oil change was in fact performed. I believe the Routan should be inspected by a mechanic that can advise me of any defects or issues. How can my wife and I trust a company that complains about paying for a cheap plastic part? How can I trust a dealer that employs sales people that lie and whom are dishonest? I offer this feedback on my experience with Elite Acura because I believe fraud and misrepresentation are very serious and not simply explained as a mistake. read more

The purchase of my certified pre-owned MDX at Elite Acura was my first great car buying experience . Giovanni P. made me feel as though I was joining a club. Three days after buy my MDX, I was rear ended while stopped at a light. No one was injured and the damage was relatively minor. Mt car has an intermittent beep. It is a 2015 acura mdx. Called the dealership to see what i can do about this and apparently they do not have people that work there. An absolutely excellent experience with Service Consultant Joseph Halloran. He took the time to discuss the car with me, gave me a crash course in Acura servicing. He was efficient and totally professional in every respect. The work was completed while I waited for the vehicle. The prices seemed reasonable, I didn't shop around but likely they are very competitive. Thank you Joseph for treating me as though I had purchased a brand new vehicle from your dealership! When I bought my car I was told it went through a 175 point inspection. I notice just 2 days after I bought It there were some stains in my driveway. I went under the car and found that my transmission lines were rusted and leaking. This is something they should have been noticed right away during the inspection. I went back to the dearler and they said they would not cover it. I understand I bought the car as is and now I wished I had them put it on the lift but the part is only $60. I would have been happy if they even gave me a few free oil changes to cover the part. I don't mind spending a few hours replacing it but do what's right. I called the sales manager and he did not even return my call. The funny thing is my wife was talking about trading in her car for an Acura MDX. I guess I now have to go to another dealership. read more

My salesman was Bill Jordan. The sales manager was Mike DeMarco. These men and everyone I encountered could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They gave me a fair price on my trade and bent over backwards to earn my business. They made me a very fair offer that I simply could not refuse. They honored all of their promises to me thereafter. The sleaziest finance manager and sales staff ever. Every time I go there it is a nightmare. For example I asked for the payoff on my lease Acura, they tell me they cannot give a pay off and they will have to test drive the car and asses value to it. They sent me down with used car salesman Sid. They make me wait there for 30 minutes while he tries to close me on a new Acura I did not ask to buy a new Acura. They then eventually come out and tell me to buy amount I had initially asked for. then when I started the walk Sid got ignorant and said that's all you came to ask? I don't need to deal with second-tier pushy salesman. Avoid every time you deal with them it's like this. read more

I came in on a Saturday to check out cars. The test drive went fine and the sales person was friendly albeit not quite knowledgeable about the Acura brand. When it came to running some numbers the sales person called in the manager Joe D. Things quickly went awry when they came back with a quote and I said I wasn't ready to sign. Joe quickly got aggressive and accused me of lying and saying that I would sign a deal if we came to an agreed upon number. I was clear when I came in that I was browsing and wanted to run numbers but wasn't ready to buy. Joe quickly tried to backpedal his aggressive nature when I walked out the door but by then it was too late. Women buyers beware. Joe thought he could make a sale through intimidation. Even the sales rep was embarrassed. Needless to say I made a purchase elsewhere. read more

Had an issue with my MDX where it was towed to Elite Acura, mind you we didn't purchase the car there however it was the closest Acura dealership and close to home so that's where we had it towed. The car was towed at 10am, I tried to call multiple times to speak to someone and it was like pulling teeth to get a live person on the phone. By 3pm I had enough, I called and left a voicemail (what a surprise) for the manager. Within in 10-15 mins I was called by a service adviser who told me my car hadn't been towed there, and that all the cars that had been towed had already been contacted. Had I contacted the tow company to make sure it was dropped off there? Considering I texted the driver the address to Elite that morning I wasn't sure where else he would've taken my car. Since Elite was telling me my car wasn't there I asked the adviser what he suggested I do and that I would report the car stolen since they were telling me it wasn't there. I hung up called the tow company to verify where my car had been dropped off, they confirmed it was at Elite since shortly after 10:00AM that morning. Again with in a few minutes I get a call back from a different service adviser that my car had been located. Interesting my car had been there all day and you weren't aware however as soon as I tell you that I'm reporting it stolen you find it. Fast forward my car sat there for days, I made multiple phone calls and not one was ever returned. I ended up showing up at the dealership asked to see the service manager and asked for an update on the car since no one could return phone calls. I was given an update, took a look at the car and saw parts from under the hood sitting on my leather seats, not sure why they would put them on the seats especially since the trunk was empty. Insurance ended up totaling the car, of course we had a sales person speak to us about getting a vehicle from them. The lack of communication from this dealership and experience was beyond unprofessional. I would rather drive 30-45 mins to Sussman where they return phone calls and treat customers with care then go 10 mins away from home to a dealership that could care less. We ended up ordering a brand new MDX from Sussman. I will never deal with Elite Acura again, maybe the money you spent remodeling the dealership you should've spent it on training your employees. read more

I did not buy my 2011 TSX here and had no intention of ever using this dealership for service even though they're literally 5 minutes away from my house. An emergency came up in July of 2012 so I brought my TSX in to have the left rear tire replaced. A few days earlier my wife slammed into the curb and sliced up the tire and caused deep scratches on the rim of both driver's side wheels. I had called around and checked online and was surprised that Elite had a good deal on the tire and labor. I had the local Goodyear shop look at the tire earlier that day and they recommended replacing it but they didn't carry that brand (Michelin). So I figured why not take it to the dealer. The dealer would be more careful with my car, right? Well, to my surprise and disappointment, I inspected my car after the work was done and there were scratches on every single wheel, all right around the lug nut area. The scratches were deep enough that I could feel them when I ran my finger nails over. And on the wheel that had the new tire, there were deep scratches all around the area where the original wheel weights were removed--it's as if the tech used a screwdriver to remove the weights! I've never had any work done to the TSX up until this point, and I inspect my car every time I get it washed, so I know that the scratches were caused by Elite Acura that day. I had them do a tire rotation also, so that's why they had to take off (and scratch!) every wheel. I mention this to the service rep and he brought in the service manager. At first the manager was reluctant to accept responsibility and even made a comment along the lines of "How do I know the scratches weren't there before?" I kept on complaining and mentioned that this car is less than one year old and has less than 6,000 miles on it and never had any work done to it until now. I asked the manager why they don't have a tool that doesn't scratch the wheels and he said that sometimes the hose or whatever touches the wheel and scratches it so they can't totally prevent stuff like that from happening. I replied that the technicians need to be more careful and the manager replied that he'd bring that up at the next meeting. I also questioned him on what if someone had a $60,000 RL and the same thing happened. The manager just stuck with saying that they can't prevent scratches. It's like he accepted that and didn't want to strive for any better. The manager eventually offered to take the wheels off a brand new TSX to replace my wheels, but I'm thinking to myself, "Why bother when they'll just scratch up the new wheels in the process?" I was thinking that the bill was like $250 or something so I just wanted them to make it an even $200 and I'd be OK with that. I felt like I could have taken advantage of the situation because I had two wheels that were badly scratched from my wife hitting the curb. Anyway, in the end, the manager waived my bill altogether and I accepted that. He said he didn't want me to not come back because I didn't like the service. I thought that was a good gesture so I accepted. After I got home I looked at the paperwork and it was noted on there that the tech had "accidentally" reset my service indicator, which means I now have to remember to get my oil changed around 8,000 miles. It's not easy to "accidentally" reset the service indicator since doing so involves pressing several buttons; it's not just a simple "oops" I bumped one button and that did it. There was obviously something wrong with this tech's ability to pay attention because 1.) he scratched all four wheels, and 2.) he reset my service indicator. The idiot probably thought the car was in for an oil change and proceeded to start on that before realizing otherwise. I thought about what the manager said about not being able to totally prevent scratches and that's really BS. I've had several Subarus that I've had serviced at the Subaru dealer and I never saw the amount of scratches that I saw on the TSX wheels. Yes, one or two scratches inside the lug nut holes are usually normal, but not several scratches on the surface of every darn wheel. I've also looked at random cars in parking lots and don't see their wheels all scratched up, so I know that there are ways to prevent those scratches. In the end, the cause is that the tech was sloppy and did not do a good job and should be disciplined. These are Acuras he's working on, not some cheap low-end economy cars. I should have read the review below before visiting this dealership. I received a quote on a specific car through the Internet Deparatment at Elite - the quote included a VIN. Before visiting the dealership (at the insistence that I had to come in), I again confirmed that they had the car. After driving to Elite (about 45 minutes), they did not have the car that I wanted. They could get the car, but asked me to pay a premium since they would have to acquire it. There was never an apology for their "mistake" (I will let readers judge for themselves whether this was incompetence or an attempted bait and switch). Through the entire process, nobody I dealt with at Elite seemed even remotely reputable or trustworthy. The fact that their written word is seemingly meaningless, and that the dealership refuses to honor its written quotes, speaks volumes about the business practices at Elite. read more

I did not even have to walk onto the dealership to recieve unprofessional, sarcastic treatment. I've been researching a particular car for quite a while and decided to make an online offer; it was a low offer, BUT reasonable. Isn't that how this offer-counter-offer works especially with USED cars at new car dealerships? Instead of a professional "sorry we can not accept that offer at this time" I received "I'm not sure if you missed a digit when you emailed in, but the number you gave is not working for me." I'm well over an hour drive away. If he were to have replied more professionally I might have driven the 1+hour to see the car and possibly made a higher offer based on my experience. Bought a 2010 Rdx back in December. We thought it was a bit over priced for the condition of the car, but since it had most of the bells and whistles and a lower than avg mileage we decided to buy the car. We were sold hard, letting us know by both the sales man and the manager that the car was in "great condition", we could trust them and that it was thoroughly looked over by their maintenance dept. The car seemed to run ok with the test drive and was certified pre owned. No more than 3 weeks later and maybe putting 100 miles on the car, the power steering failed. Insanely dangerous! We brought it to a local Acura dealership who told us the fluid should have been pumped and flushed and never left the lot for safety reasons. The local dealership fixed the problem charging about $90 for the bill. We contacted our salesman and he promised to reimburse the bill considering we drove the car about 4 times in total. It's now April and still no reimbursement with a run around about "never getting the bill" when we have email proof we sent it back in January with confirmation from elite. Needless to say my car is in the shop yet again due to electrical problems with the AC. I would definitely not recommend this dealership. Keep looking around... update: relay shorted, AC compressor clutch replaced, both front axle seals leaking so both driveshaft oil seals were replaced, noisy tensioner so there was a belt replacement. Yes, we have received contact from the manager about the reimbursement because they don't have the bill that we sent them months ago. Clearly, they don't understand that the $90 bill wasn't the biggest problem here. The problem was that my car needed to be serviced in the last 3 months for things that should have been taken care of before that car left their dealership. The Acura service shop we brought it to in Westchester said they would have NEVER marked it pre-owned certified with this many issues. read more

Test drove a used Volvo S80 on Saturday 2/1. This was an "as is" vehicle as it had 106K on the odometer. Apparently, anything over 100K is no longer warranted but is eligible for an extended service contract. The individual I was unfortunate to deal with was at best unfriendly, arrogant but mostly unknowledgeable about the car he had shown myself and my family. I asked which engine was in this car, his response was " I don't know, we only see if it runs and steers". Great sales skills Gary! I did waste my time by driving it literally around the block, and it only took seconds to see that it was going to be a huge mistake to continue with any thought of purchasing it. There was never an attempt made to see if we were interested in a different vehicle, or to show at the very least "phony concern " over the squealing brakes and the grinding steering column in the Volvo. The best thing we did was walk away. Two days later we made a purchase, only from a reputable seller. As for Elite Acura, NEVER AGAIN. read more

I bought a certified 2016 Acura tlx from Elite Acura maple shade nj 6 months a go after going to dealer couple times for transmission jerking. Ok this is what happen my car got dented in the dealer in the rear panel ok they tell me they will fix it they did fix it I pick the car up on Saturday October 26 2019 after going home I was checking everything looks ok now I start noticing over paint spray not from this repair but from prior repair before I bought the car the front bumper was painted I have over spray in headlights over spray in bumper trim and bumper is cracking also over spray under bumper under front of the car also I notice the rear lights have paint to on the edge they really got me as a full in sealing me a certified pre own Acura tha was damage before and I'm not happy finding all this is have been a horrible experience with Acura and elite Acura read more

Went in to this dealership and purchased a TLX with my own financing. Told them I am only using the financing I already secured. However, it seems they could not resist being unscrupulous as they ran my information through 3 different banks. Now I am receiving letters from these places. Buying experience was OK, and I thought smooth but was somewhat time consuming. I guess it took longer because they were running my information without my permission. I did purchase a car with some warranties that I later canceled. That was when the guy in the Finance department(Adriano Perly) became peeved. He was abrupt, sarcastic and disrespectful as if we were begging him for favors. The sales manager had to tell him to go apologize to my wife for his rudeness. Because of their dishonesty in running my information I could not see myself recommending this dealership or using them for any services. Sad too, because they had more selections than the other Acura dealership close to my home. read more

And treat the upgrade with just as much TLC. The service is quality work, the service advisors are friendly, efficient and they know me by name, which is cool considering it's the dealer and not a local mechanic I still come here for my regular service, oil changes, etc so I'm here pretty frequently. Their waiting room is bright and spacious, especially since they moved to this location. They always have the best snacks and the girls actually want to come with me when I have an appointment. Lisa, the manager checks in on you and makes sure service went smoothly, they are all really pleasant to deal with especially Nate & Rudy.
