My girlfriend bought a used MDX here on her first vist. Sung was very helpfull sales rep and she was able to drive the car home that day. There was some corner damage that they said they would take care of when we set up an appointment. We then discovered the Blue Tooth was not working right before leaving the lot and were assured it would be taken care of. Purchased car at Elite Acura. It's been a little over a month. Did not receive my license plate. They estimated about two weeks of my purchase that it will be sent to me. Did not receive a bill that is supposedly due Feb 02 (Date provided by the sales person). Called multiple times and they don't know what's the status on the delay of the plate. I tried to be patient but this is not the service I was expecting. Updated with 2 stars because the sales rep did a very good job(Would've rated much higher if things went as planned). read more

I have a 2008 Acura TL with 120K miles. It's a shame they don't make it anymore as it is a great car. Recently, I had a few intermittent issues with the car and brought it to Elite. Nate Monroe is my service advisor and as usual, he got me an appointment immediately and provided me with a loaner car. Nate is extremely knowledgable, friendly and very personable. He always takes the time to explain everything about what was done to my car as well as advise me about any maintenance I should expect in the future. I have known Nate for about 5 or 6 years and to say that he goes above and beyond is an understatement. What started as i thought a good transaction, helpful friendly people turned a nightmare. The very short version had to return a used car i bought & left lot with due to some problems with BofA as to my old car on their lot which they pressured me to take off (post sale of course) also turned a blessing because the rate of interest was outragous ..they also took a deposit from credit cards THEN backtracked and wanted cash after charged to my card.. also i found that they indeed wanted the sale badly that they didnt care what happened on day of sale..i should not have left they should not have processed a sale until all aspects were tied up.I also had to finally take old car off lot ..now having no tags etc had to pay $$ to get to jersey get proper tags even insurance to drive old vehicle home(safely) . They did give and return many calls but were grudgingly hard and not owning up to THEIR part of the whole mess. I can say the fiancing department and that end of the use of the dealership is horrendous.. i might give the crew at this dealerships fair marks in general but they work in cahoots with not set out clear and final as to loans & finance ..just want your sale and then you pull your hair out.. my wife & i are in 60s and me 70s w health problems and did not need this stress making our conditions worse for two weeks from hell! I think the manager or higher up who ok'd the sale is at fault..no one should be able to sign ..drive off a lot then.. later have quite a few problems come up and backtracking on what made you in good faith agree to drive off with another car. They want a sale bad and will let u worry later about problems..not a good way to do business. read more

This review is related to the service department. I brought my 7.5 month old TLX with 8k miles in to have a tire replaced as it had a nail in it and was slowly leaking air. They replaced the tire and within a day or so, I noticed that the car began shaking at high speeds (it did not do this prior to the tire being replaced). I dealt with the issue for a bit as work and life were busy, but finally brought the car back in about a month later. I said I suspected the alignment was off and asked the service consultant how long it would take and if it would be covered to which he replied, "about an hour and everything will covered." After waiting an hour and a half, a different service guy came over and told me that the car needed an alignment and that it would be $99.95. He insisted that its not related to the tire change and is not covered and asked if I wanted to proceed. He suggested that I must have hit a pothole or something and that they recommend an alignment every year anyway. After some back and forth discussion about the tire change and how he believed it wouldn't cause a misalignment and that a car less than a year old isn't covered for such a thing, I realized this guy wasn't willing to budge. And since I wasn't willing to pay them for something that I was told would be covered and believed it wasn't a coincidence that the shaking began immediately after the tire was changed, I decided it was time to go. It shouldn't have taken 1.5 hours to tell me what I already knew and I had sat there long enough at that point. The service guy didn't seemed too concerned with my level of frustration as he let me walk out upset. My wife and I have leased 6 new vehicles from Elite over the last 11 years and I am usually mostly satisfied with the sales process. But I will NEVER pay Elite for service after this experience. If they can't help me, I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Here we go again.,,, I walk in, stand at the front desk for about 5 or 10 minutes, and no one bothers to acknowledge my presence. I have to call the operator to have her come down and get someone to acknowledge, and then wait on, me. She was incredulous that i had been standing there like that, and had to leave her position to come down and help me. I wouldnt have bothered writing this negative review, as the salesperson, Joe Ditro, apologized a couple of times to me - - but then he totally messed it up when I was leaving. I couldnt believe my ears, because he seemed to be trying to make up for the staff ignoring me., but he did it -- he called me "hon." And he did it while telling me that I should say that he was was of the nice salespeople in the business. He followed it up with some condescending bs about "getting home safe," or some such crap that all we women have heard 1000 times before. (Ah, no, i believe it was "Stay out of trouble." Maybe it was both. Either way, it was a sucker punch. I was too surprised to tell him off, so all I could think of was to keep my hands in my pocket when he tried to shake it.) If i was a man I would have been called Sir, or buddy, or boss or pal.But no, I get "hon." Am I dating this person?? Who does he think he is -- who the h*ll do these males think they are?? I'd bet him the price of the car that if a man had been there with me, he would not have called me hon. Disgusting. And right after i told him that car salesmen treat women badly. He thinks he's one of the good guys. Blech. Women, we dont have to go to the zoo to see uncivilized behavior. Just shop for a car. The sad thing is, since this crap is so pervasive i might have to buy a car from one of these pieces of garbage. PS I called the GM as he suggested below, and left him a voice mail. I purchased a vehicle at this Acura location over a year ago and I was some what satisfying with that purchase ( due to the fact that the salesperson made me feel like I got a good deal just simply by working out with the pricing). Recently I revisited this location and realized they have gone remodeling and got a new location which was way bigger that the pervious spot. I walked in there hoping that I would have the same experience like the first time but that didn't happen at all not even close. The salesperson I was with this time around wasn't the original person I dealt with previously. This person's first name goes by "Joe" (beware of this person). I had a 2 car trade situation where he just completely low ball me on one of my car that's been giving a market trade in value of $38,0000 from serval dealers that he only offered me $31,0000 like I am some stupid person that was born yesterday. On top of that he keeps insisting and arguing with you that their giving market value is accurate and blames on the other dealers that they must've marked up their pricing on the vehicle that we are purchasing so this way they can offer a higher value on the trade. I am just summarizing the entire experience that I just recently had with this guy so I am not going to tell you everything that happened and what he said to me so therefore "Joe" blows loves to bullshit the hell out of you so beware of this salesperson and avoid him because he will try to make loads of money from your purchase and your trade (maybe that's why they can afford a new and bigger location). This is not the way you run the business it's truly dishonest and after that experience they just lost themselves a client forever and more because I will tell all my friends and family to stay away from Elite Acura especially this guy "Joe". read more

THANK YOU Sung Kim! I had the easiest, most pleasant experience I've ever had when getting a new car. This is my 5th go around! I went to another dealership on Saturday after getting a deal in writing via email before making a visit. The deal they promised was not fulfilled. I spent roughly 2.5 hrs just to walk out of there disappointed. I reached out to Elite to see if they would be able to give me the deal I was looking for. Initially someone reached out and was giving the same generic responses. "I cannot give you a ballpark number without you coming in first." "I understand your frustration, but trust me I have never lost a deal due to beating a price." You know...the same BS every sales rep is trained to feed you. I was ready to give up and then Sung Kim stepped in and built my trust back up. He is a very genuine person and got straight to the point with me. I gave him all info over the phone/email and he said as long as my trade in is as I described, that we have a deal and he is making that promise to me. I went in the following day and signed the paperwork! He had the car detailed and parked out front for me so we could immediately transfer my belongings into my new car! Great and friendly service. Finding a place you trust, especially a dealership when you have a different type of car is a great find. I moved back to this area a few years ago and had still been driving an hour to get service until someone recommended Elite Acura in maple shade. I have a Honda and I love that they service all cars and I can go somewhere I trust. I was hesitant to try a dealership because it's not the first thought based on stereotypes but I am glad I did. The location is convenient because you can get to it from Route 73 or 38. The location is bright, friendly, caring and clean. I feel comfortable sitting there while I wait unlike some other places I tried. Free wifi while I wait is also nice and since I only work a few miles away I can get a ride to and from my job if it's going to take awhile to get done. The service advisors are really good and friendly and do a great job of explaining what I need and what I will need without making me feel pressured. The guys I have dealt with make sure I understand what they are doing which is key for a girl like me who has no clue about cars other than what color mine is. Highly recommend them for all your car service needs no matter the brand! read more

Few weeks ago,my honda minivan's steering wheel shakes while go over 70m/hr.so took it in asked for alignment. I was told the front brake pads and the rooters are causing the problem..OK,put the new ones in then.the service advisor said:"I will take care you."waited 3 hours,total charged $550 with alignment .labor costs $300,parts $250. Few days later got on the highway.guess what,same problem.took it in again.they told me the wheels were out of balance.they rebalanced the wheel ,and no shaking anymore.then I realized last time they not only didn't do that alignment,they didn't even bother to balance the wheels.just charge me and sent me on my way.and then the service guy told me the rear brake and rooters were bad too.OK ,do it then,it's on the jack already.waited 5 hours.total charge $490.labor $200.parts $290.Quote from the service advisor:"it's not cheap!"sure,top service comes with top prices,as long as it is a honest way.both time they won't give me a quote,just go ahead to get on it. My wife took her MDX in for oil chang couple times, the car has around 50K miles on it.always been told to do something else.had rear deferential fluid changed.later she told me:"I don't even know what it is,but they sound so critical ."now I'm getting the idea maybe they did not even do that fluid change,just charge her and sent her out of the door the same way as me. I had to add little more detail,my wife's MDX had a warning light on said the engine oil level is low. I looked around,there was no leak anywhere .had two MDX,both serviced in the elite acura for years.but this time,because of the recent experience ,just didn't feel can trust the dealership anymore.so took it to a independent shop,it turned out I watched the technician poured 2.5Q of engine oil in just to top it off.so they only used half the amount that oil to cut the cost!!!good job!! They may say it is a isolated incident.but I suggest people who service their car there.when you are due to change your oil,do it somewhere for once .find out.and leave comments. They promptly returned the information but badgered me about coming in. I told them contact me only by email and asked for their best price so I could negotiate. My reasoning was I was not going to drive 3 hours round trip if we were not even close. I continued to get no price just a constant come in and test drive. Sales rep Jerry was so pleasant. & then there was the Sales Manager, Mr. Joe Ditro. Joe's tactics towards women customers involve screaming & throwing insults. My mom was begging him to calm down. In shear panic of his actions escalating my mother, my toddler & I ran out of there so quickly... but he wasn't done with us yet because he followed us outside. My mom tried to close our car door and Joe even held the car door open so he could finish his ranting. He slammed it when he was through. All this because I wouldn't drive away in "his" car which I told him, we have a deal. I want the car. I'll be back tomorrow for it. So yeah,... Went to buy our son his first car and was told to come back in the morning since they were closing on Thursday night. Went back with our son on Friday and loved the car. However, the car fax showed 3 accidents and we wanted to know if the airbags were deployed. They promised to get the details and call us over the weekend, so that we could give a deposit on Saturday while we were out of state upon information provided. Well, it's Monday and we just found out that the car was sold on Friday night "after" we were there. Switch and bait I guess is what you call this...or maybe a question regarding full disclosure of the 2004 Acura TSX that had 3 accidents wasn't provided or requested.
