Buyer Beware! RUINED MY BIRTHDAY! I used this limo service for a birthday party last weekend. We were scheduled to go to a restaurant downtown and then back to a hotel. First, the limo arrived at 6:05, and was scheduled for 6:00 pm. I am not really a stickler for being a couple of minutes late, but our reservation was for 6:30. This limo was white and DEFINITELY not as described or as seen in the pictures. The inside was very dark (not to mention I chose this company over another because the lights on the pics looked so bright and pretty),so dark we could not even take pictures! We arrived at our destination,went to the restaurant,ate our food and was called at 8:00 (30 minutes before our scheduled pick-up time,interrupting our dinner) asking us what time would we be ready because he had another pick up after me. I told him at 8:30 when we were scheduled to leave! We left the restaurant at 8:30 on the dot Now we had a different driver, and a black limo.This limo was as described on the website,nice pretty lights and clean. We were told that we could not use the pretty champagne cups because they were for his next pick up. What? Didn't we all pay for the same thing? . A friend of mine had to meet us at the restaurant. On the website, it says there is a 15 minute wait time until overage charges occur. I asked my driver to wait for my friend,as I had 15 minutes to spare. He yelled " I have to go, I have another pick up!!" He waited as he had an attitude and kept giving me a "Stank face" through the rear view mirror. I asked him to roll the divider up and he tells me " No, you all are trying to smoke" Excuse me? I have never smoked a day in my life and would not have picked that time to try it. Fast Forward, he was SPEEDING and HITTING EVERY CORNER causing us to spill drinks,bump in to each other and all. We got to our destination and I asked him to open the door and he told me" No, I have another pick-up" ! What kind of service is that? He finally opened the door, didnt lend a helping hand to 10 girls with short dresses and high heels because of his attitude. I then expressed to him how rude he was and how I should have took the previous Yelp reviews in to consideration. "Yes,I am rude, that's my job, thank you,too many teachers tonight!" are all the responses the driver gave me. Moral of the Story: DO NOT USE CHICAGO ELITE LIMOS!!!! YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED! It's taken me awhile to write this review, but I found it lingering on my mind because it was a bit upsetting to pay so much and to have the issues we experienced on a very special day. In August of this year we used Elite's Odyssey Party Bus for a wedding. It was actually the bridal party's gift for the bride and groom. We all put our money together, over 900 dollars, for this luxurious moment after the newlyweds said "I do." I have never booked a party bus before, but from the reviews I thought Elite sounded like a great choice. First, they tell you that they are going to lay out the red carpet, have the bus all decorated with a just married sign. The bus driver couldn't even find a place to pull over and kept calling me to ask when he should pull up, and have us all jump on.... Not the red carpet easy moment I was expecting. I had to come out, and tell him where there was an obvious spot for him to pull over and had to tell him to pull out the red carpet- I didn't even see a just married sign. They had a few dollar store paper hand made flowers on the windows. The worst part is that there were Fruit Flies, yes Fruit FLIES on the party bus, which we had to swat at the entire time we were on the bus. Also, the seats had rips in them, not so lavish and luxurious you would think you are paying over 900 dollars for.. Plus, it was pretty hot on the bus as the AC was not strong enough. It just seemed like bus had been through hell and back, and they tried to pass it off. 18% gratuity was included in the price, and the driver made us clean up everything..... What was the tip for? The groom and a few of us had to throw the cups and left over drinks away at the end- or we might have been charged... Where was the service that we payed for,, having to clean up everything before we get off- it's not like we trashed the bus or anything a server at a restaurant wouldn't have to do put back afterwards. We made the best of it because it was a momentous day, so no one complained. But it didn't sit right with me, so I had to warn people out there of the real deal you are getting with Elite. I called right away and at the begin the girl who answered said they upgraded us because we were just 2 people!!! I answered that it is my problem and she was supposed to call me to let me know. She replied that it was because they had a problem with the service before. In 5 minutes she gave me two excuses! I got off the car and took a regular cab, a lot better service!!! My daughter got Married Feb 15th we rented lite Limo. the limo driver was not familiar with the Plainfield /Joliet area. The driver went entirely by his GPS and did not ask anyone on the party bus for assistance He drive 10 miles out of the way and was 30 min late for the cerimony with the bridal party in the bus. When I asked him why he did not take a better way he said that is the way the GPS told him. I also asked for the 30 min he was late and he denied it. He was not a very good driver. I drive a Limo for 2 years and charted by trips ahead of time or asked the passengers for their imput on how to get to the places I was driving. He did not ask anyone. I called to order a party bus on Sunday for a sorority formal next week. I got the instant quote online and was told that there would be a 20% gratuity added - which I was fine with. I received my receipt via email. I called back today to order a second bus because more friends wanted to take a bus as well. Whoever I spoke to today was terribly rude! I gave her the instant quote that I received online and she proceeded to tell me that that was only one way. I was extremely confused because when I called to order the bus on Sunday, this was not the case. She said that it would be the quote I got, plus gratuity. That was all. She never said anything about that being the price one way. When I explained my confusion to the woman today, she gave me attitude and kept telling me that what I was wrong, that the woman did tell me it was both ways, and that the terms and conditions (about the order being nonrefundable) were explicitly stated on the website. I have scoured the website for 30 minutes now trying to find where these terms and conditions are, and still can't find it. Even my friend tried, and she couldn't! As I expressed this confusion and surprise to the woman today, she only responded with attitude. I expressed to her that I was not going to be utilizing their service ever again, and would surely not be recommending them to any friends of mine, she said that's fine and hung up. There is no reason all of that attitude or for her to not try to make the customer feel better. "The customer is always right." So I hired Elite Chicago Limo for my wedding last month. They were priced ok, I think I paid like $525 for 3 hours that fit up to 16 people with a fully stocked bar (tip was included in that price). The limo driver was late coming to pick up the guys from our condo, first of all. Usually it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but this is our wedding day and we were very tightly scheduled for pictures around town. So he probably arrived 15-20 minutes late. Second, the limo was not "fully stocked." There was apparently 1 bottle of warm champagne and a couple cans of warm beer. So my fiancee and his groomsmen had to have the driver stop at a liquor store to buy alcohol, which made them even later. Third, there were empty beer cans underneath the seats. I mean, come on! This is a limo for our wedding, the least they can do is provide cold beverages, show up on time, and clean the d*mn car!! I will say that our driver was very polite, knew exactly where he was going at all times, and even somehow managed to manuever the limo down a 1-way street that I don't think a Honda would even fit down! But the damage was already done at the onset, so I can't give a very good review. read more

We rented a 35-person limo bus for my 21st birthday to drive us from Hyde Park to the bar. Considering that the limo had a bathroom, a stripper pole, a big screen TV, and all the mixers you could imagine, that it cost only $200 was amazing. The limo showed up on time, and the driver took an extra long route so we could enjoy it more. We were drinking PBR out of champagne flutes, and I can only imagine what a drunk, sloppy pain in the ass the 20 of us were. The driver was really nice, and had great music for us to choose from. we had three separate pickup and drop offs scheduled with this limo company yesterday. driver was 15 mins early on the first pickup which was nice but gave us attitude when we didn't get in the limo right away. we booked it at noon, so we shouldn't have to leave until noon. called to change the second pickup location a few hours before pickup, we were trying to change it from Hinsdale to Naperville. we got attitude again and were told that they wouldn't be there on time anymore (5:30) because it takes so much longer to get to Naperville than Hindsdale from downtown. the limo actualy got there at 5:30 but circled the block until 6 so they wouldn't have to admit that they were wrong. finally, on the last pickup the driver was an hour late because he couldn't find the address. called the limo company with no answer 15 times in a row until they finally picked us up....what company doesn't have a phone system that can put people on hold while they wait for someone to pick up?? when someone finally answered, we got attitude again and were told that the driver was almost there...which he wasn't. when he finally did get there, the limo was disgusting, they didn't clean up at all from the group that used it before us. lastly, every time you talk to either the limo driver or the person that answers the phone in the office they yell at you because they can't speak English and they are frustrated that you can't understand them. read more

I honestly wouldn't get it through this company because they got super strict this year, this year they made me sign a contract which I didn't last year which I understood clearly the protocols and the driver was super ignorant, (like a cattle director) the moment we got on the bus yelling "rules! No smoking! Clean up the bus! Don't make me wait for you when I pick you up! If you don't clean, 250$ fee! If you make me wait, 4$ a minute!" Like what lol? So I had 5 of my other friends stay on the bus once we got downtown and they cleaned everything up and asked the guy even if it was okay and he said yes it's all fine...... When they picked us up from downtown half my bus didn't come back they either got sick and ubered home or went out later lol, so we had no alcohol on the way back home since they make you throw it out (they didn't make you do that last year, it was "leave it and lose it" ) ... So I find out yesterday they charged my moms card 250$ and they claim that 2 beer bottles filled with piss were left on the bus. Well first, only 5 of the 12 guys had beer bottles, secondly, it wasn't after getting dropped at the bar because the driver cleared/okayed everyone when they cleaned up, thirdly we had no alcohol on the way back?????... And fourthly lol who is examining what's inside a brown beer bottle??? No proof, all hearsay....So basically they set us up to pay the 250$ fee and you get fucked because you sign a contract with them now. Money making scheme I assume. Won't order through them again. I have now used Elite Limo three times. The first time was great, second time was awful, third time was great again. On my first review I explained the bad experience and how I was apologized to and told that if I wanted to use the service again I would be given a discount and everything would go as planned. Elite delivered on its promise. I was given a discounted rate (not sure how much of discount, but it seemed reasonable) for 6 hour minimun "night on the town" type of event for a 10 pass. stretch limo. Everything went great. The driver, Anthony (who ironically we had the first time I used Elite), was AWESOME. Right on time, always opening doors for us, right outside the bar waiting for us when we were ready, just a very nice guy, and I'm sure driving a bunch of loud women around can get annoying. We have used Elite Chicago LIMO in the past and were pleased BUT this most recent event left me speechless and we will NEVER use this company again. They are located in La Grange so it was the perfect location for our pick up. I requested a SUV limo for my husbands 40th birthday party event. We had planned a pick up for 3 couples taking us downtown. A small intimate affair. I called the day before to confirm and everything was set.....until the Party Bus arrived. I immediately called and the dispatcher he insisted nothing else was available...what are you kidding me!!! So the 6 of us proceeded to board the 25 person party bus. In addition the driver did not know how to turn-down the air conditioning so we were freezing-maybe because it's a party bus and if there were 25 people on the bus you might need the air! Oh and I forgot to mention there is a stripper pole on this bus. We were dropped off at our dinner location- driver had my phone number, company had my phone number...but no luck finding our limo when we were ready to leave...driver finally arrived in the SUV limo...said he had tried to call me and was going to charge extra as WE were late. Arrived home and had a fun evening despite the transportation fiasco. Called and spoke with Paul, Kathy and Gabrielle - the manager the Monday after our party. Gabrielle insisted that the party bus was an upgrade and we got a deal, plus the driver could not find us and pick up so there was not refund/discount to discuss. This is unbelievable- had they even offered a $50 credit I would have taken it. Called day before to confirm a car reservation I made on line with Elite and it was confirmed. Needless to say car never showed up for our 5a pick for a ride to airport to catch our flight. When I called the number provided when car was a bit late all I got was a voice mail. Left message no return call. Needless to say we ended up driving ourselves to airport last minute so we wouldn't miss out flight and incurred parking costs we didn't plan on having. The only good thing I have to say about this company is that the price was decent beside that going with this company was a huge mistake! I booked with them for my wedding and it is my only regret of the entire day. First the driver was 10 mins late picking me and the rest of the bridesmaids up. Right after I got out of the church the driver comes up to me in front of my guests asking when the bill would be settled and I told him to go see my father he then did the same to my father and interrupted him in front of our guests. This was only the beginning. After giving him payment information he got very rude every picture I have of him he has a smug look on his face. No it is not his job to be in my pictures but don't stand in front of the camera and near everyone if you clearly are giving and attitude. We then got in the bus and were off to take pictures he asked us for the address the place we went for pictures was only about 30 mins away. It took the driver almost an hour to get there because he went the wrong way and the blinds of the bus were down so no one could see where we were. He then finally asked one of my bridal party where to go. When we arrived at the picture location it was 4:45 and we were told by the driver we had 5 mins to get back on the bus or he would be leaving us "he had some where to be". When we got back on the bus he was rude to everyone. My wedding reception was 10 mins away from the picture location even my photographer was appalled by the service we were given. When we did not return to the bus for a half hour he was very angry and drove like a manic to the reception speeding and I feel hitting every bump in the road he possibly could. We showed up to the reception at 5:45 I booked my service for 5 hours with unlimited stops. He began at 2pm so simple math means his end time was 7pm so why the rush in telling me I had 5 mins for pictures at 4:45? When the company was called after the wedding the matter was brushed off. I was in no way a "Bridezilla" but my experience with this company made me wish I was. It was bad enough the service I got was terrible but to then not get an apology or concern has left me with nothing nice to say about this company. read more

I've never experienced a worse car service. First confirmation emails were sent incorrect and I had to call multiple times to correct it. Then the car to the airport was 35 min late. When I called no one answered for the first 20 min at the office. After repeated calls and thinking I was going to have to jump in a cab to catch my international flight a guy finally answers with very rude demeanor. I was told the driver fell asleep in the car and has been up since 3am but will be there in 5 min. 15 minutes later the driver arrives with the excuse that he was at my address but south instead of north, clearly lying because that address does not exist. On the pick up from the airport the driver was also late (different one) and again I received a rude attitude when I called. Both times the driver didn't directly call me. Very bad customer service and reliability. Will not be using ever again. This was my testing time before booking for my wedding and I sure am glad I did try them out before booking. Safe to say I'll take my business elsewhere. Oh and to top it off the driver home asked if we had paid and gave us a hassle for no tip when that morning our credit card was automatically charged with a 20% tip and he expected us to tip more. Limo driver arrived late to pick us up which put us behind for the ceremony. He said he was late because he had to get ice for the limo, which should have been done on his own time. After arriving late he did a decent job, drove us reliably to our destinations. The limo had an odd foul smell. The "ac" if you can call it that, in the limo was warm air. It was 89 degrees and we were married outside so it was disappointing to have no relief from the heat inside the limo. These people pre-judge their customers. I sent in a quote request stating how many passengers and day needed. I received an email back asking for pick up and drop off locations. When I replied and said Kennedy-King College for my graduation, (South side of Chicago in Englewood) all of the sudden they are booked. I feel this is false, because the date was always stated since the first email exchange. And all emails were within a 2 hour time frame. WORST limo company EVER! I was getting married and wanted a limo to take us to the church and then to the hall. The owner "Aidas" gave me a real good rate so i booked with him. Because my sister wanted me to look into getting a limo for the bachelorette party i called him and again, he gave me a good rate because i had gotten the limo for the wedding. Long story short, the day of the bachelorette party, the limo driver didn't know where she was going, she almost hit a biker, and then when she slammed on the brakes, everyone flew forward and there was shattered glass EVERYwhere from the champagne glasses. I called the next day to complain about all this and told him that i wanted another driver for the day of the wedding. i did get another driver and he took us the longest way to get to the church and i was 20 minutes late for my own wedding!! THEN he tried to charge us more than Aidas and i had agreed on and made me get extremely upset during my wedding because he kept overcharging me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! BEWARE!!! THEY ARE SOOOOO SHADY! Took a party bus to Wrigleyville for Cinco de Mayo. Bus was scheduled to pick us up at 2:30am. Driver calls me at 1:55am to say he's there. Got incredibly rude with me when not everyone was able to get to the bus the minute that he called me. Well duh, you're early. I never called him to tell him to come early, yet he claims that I did. I didn't even have a number to call him, they only had mine. At 2:20am we are still missing two people and waiting on them and he says, "I don't give a f***, I'm f***ing leaving" and also told me to, "Sit down, b***h." Everyone on the bus begins to argue with him because we weren't even scheduled to leave til 2:30 and he says he doesn't care because he came early even tho we never requested it. He tried to pull away and the arguments continued because of how disrespectful and unprofessional he was. THEIR CONTRACT CLEARLY STATES THAT IF THEY HAVE TO WAIT ANY LONGER THAN 15 MINS AFTER YOUR SCHEDULED TIME YOU WOULD BE CHARGED WAITING FEES. They don't even follow their own contract! We are trying to pay this guy to stay an extra 15 mins BEFORE our scheduled departure time and he slapped money out of my sister-in-law's hand and said "get that the f*** out of my face." He had 20 people yelling at him to "not be that guy" and his continuous disrespectful comments and unprofessional manner caused things to escalate to a point they never should have gotten to. So he proceeded to cancel our trip and leave us stranded over an hour away from home. He got off the bus and stood on the sidewalk, talking on his phone while we figured out a way home. WHILE STILL ON THE BUS I RECEIVED AN EMAIL STATING I WAS BEING CHARGED $150 FOR DAMAGES. WHAT DAMAGES?? YOUR DRIVER IS OUTSIDE AND HASN'T EVEN BEEN TO THE BACK OF THE BUS! I called the next day (Saturday) to try and figure out what damages and no one could tell me. Finally WEDNESDAY someone was able to tell me and say a light was broken and then accused me of knowing exactly who did it because it was "my crew". I wouldn't be calling if I knew and I know for a fact no one broke anything. They wouldn't provide me with proof either. They also accused me of my threatening to hurt their driver. I'm 5'3, 130lbs. I didn't threaten their 350lb 6ft tall driver. I have never been so disrespected by a company and will follow up with the BBB. Six of us used Elite Limo for transportation back from a wedding reception in Mokena. The driver was extremely professional and very accommodating. He was 15 minutes early, the limo was very clean, he was willing to wait around an extra 15 minutes to make sure the bride and groom's lim (from another company) showed up. We had to make an unscheduled stop on the way to our final destination, which he did not charge us extra for and did not complain about. He got us to our destination with no errors or issues. They were so easy to reach by phone, whether it be the driver's number or main line. While we were out, I called for an earlier pick up from the bar and they were able to accommodate that. We had a really great time riding around downtown in a stretch limo before heading to dinner for a special birthday celebration. The limo was clean and elegant, with fresh ice in the bar, already-chilled water, and champagne glasses all nicely in place. The driver was super professional and gave us a great experience. We wanted to plug an iPod into the audio and he pulled over and came back to hook it up for us. He picked us up right on time, and when we were ready to be picked up after dinner, we texted him and he was there quickly. I've rented limos elsewhere, and this experience was definitely above the others especially because of the courtesy and professionalism of the driver. I'd definitely recommend them! read more

A friend used this company for a bachelorette party and the driver was a complete jerk! He wouldn't take directions unless he could type the exact address in his GPS on the phone. He drove 20 miles per hour the entire way there, no paying attention to the road as he was on his cell phone. He pulled over in the middle of the 15 minute drive and demanded payment and wouldn't continue driving until we paid him even though they had a deposit and wouldn't guarantee us a ride home. We called the company, and they treated the party with the same disrespect the driver did. Where's the customer service? Pretty non existent with this company! Used Elite to rent a party bus for a corporate party from the Loop to Arlington Race Track. Tina was super helpful coordinating the party. Tito showed up early for both pick ups, was courteous and super helpful! The bus was clean, stock with ice and water/soda. We had a great time and highly recommend Elite! read more
