They then were able to come out on Monday and give me an estimate. Was $500 for my driveway, sidewalk, and siding all around the house. They did the job in a couple of hours, kept me apprised as it was happening (I was at work, so they texted me photos), and they accept payment via Zelle & Venmo. After the job, I pointed out dirty areas, and they claimed they skipped them to avoid stripping paint -- yet paint had already been stripped from every window on my house. One worker even told me I needed to repaint my whole house when I pointed to a dirty spot on the siding. I wiped it clean with a damp paper towel after they left -- it just hadn't been cleaned. They claimed they wouldn't wash if paint was coming off, yet continued anyway, causing damage to my windows, awning, and even roof shingles. When I contacted Merida to resolve things, she was rude, dismissive, and blamed everything on me, despite photo evidence. I had placed a stop payment on my check hoping we could work things out, but Merida cashed it anyway while still refusing responsibility. I ended up spending hundreds to repair the damage. Poor communication, bad workmanship, and zero accountability. I do not recommend this company.

1 STAR I am…read moreextremely disappointed with our experience with Carolina Shine Soft Wash. We hired George after he came to our home, provided an estimate, and represented to us that his company was licensed and bonded. During the house washing, the cleaning solution ran down onto our windows. Afterward, we discovered staining on numerous windows that had not been there before. When George returned the following week, he told us that the solution he uses to clean houses can sometimes stain windows. I asked whether the windows are normally rinsed as the house is being cleaned, and his response was that we had not paid for window cleaning. Our concern was not that we expected a separate window-cleaning service. Our concern was that the solution being used to wash our house had run down onto our windows and stained the glass. George attempted to remove the stains using window cleaner and an SOS Pad, but the stains would not come off. He told us they had been "baked in" by the sun. The situation then became much more serious. More than 15 windows are now showing condensation and moisture between the panes, along with residue/staining that appears to be trapped inside. These windows were not exhibiting this condensation before this service. George later returned with a helper, and additional attempts were made to clean and scrape the windows, but the problem remained. He subsequently brought a representative from Glass Guru to our home. We understood that the purpose was to help determine how water had gotten between the panes. After looking at what appeared to be only one window, deterioration/rotting around the wood frame was suggested as a possible explanation. The representative then attempted to sell us replacement windows. This leaves us with an important question: if deterioration alone explains the problem, why were more than 15 windows not showing this condensation after years of rain, weather, and ordinary window cleaning before this service? We asked George for his insurance information so that the damage could be properly evaluated and addressed. He is now refusing to accept responsibility for the damage. This is especially concerning because Carolina Shine Soft Wash's own website represents its technicians as insured and states that its window-cleaning practices follow industry best practices intended to safeguard seals, coatings, and delicate surfaces. The company also states that it treats customers' property with care. We welcome an independent, qualified assessment of ALL of the affected windows and the cause of the seal failures. We are not claiming to make that technical determination ourselves. What we can state firsthand is the sequence of events: our windows were not exhibiting these problems beforehand; staining appeared after the house was washed; George acknowledged to us that his cleaning solution can sometimes stain windows; attempts were made to remove those stains; and we are now dealing with condensation and moisture between the panes of more than 15 windows. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend photographing your windows and exterior before hiring this company and obtaining proof of current liability insurance in writing before any work begins.
