We hired Alfredo and his company back in 2019 when we bought our house. At that time, we already had our 5 star GC with over 200 reviews on Yelp that we used for our previous home. We only hired Alfredo for the cabinets and floors. When I spoke to Alfredo originally, he mentioned that we should have hired him for the whole project-thank goodness we did not! When meeting with Alfredo, my husband specifically asked for higher quality drawer soft close mechanics, and he said that it would some brand called "Blum". We even told him we would pay extra so ensure that it would be top of the line. Within a couple months of installation, all of the ones in our closets starting having problems and would not close properly. Now, our kitchen cabinets all have problems as wells. In addition to the quality of the cabinets, we had such a time delay of our project all due to Bella Closets. I believe we were delayed at least an additional 4 months. I remember the only competent employee that they had was Tania. Everyone else did not know what was happening. Anyways steer away from Bella Closets if you want your project to be completed on time and if you want quality soft drawer close. read more

A critical review: I do recommend this business overall. Pros: good value. Costs half of what closet solution charges. Turn sound time is fast. They came 3 weeks after the design to complete the installation. Closet solution quoted me 16 weeks. Warehouse is local in El Monte. I visited the warehouse. All sizes are customizable. They make all boards beaded on your size. Designer Ashant is friendly. Cons: The drawers seem a bit hard to open. Corners are sharp. I hope these can last long. But I don't know since i just got them. Ashant is very busy. Sometimes he says he'll send you the design by a certain date but it gets delayed. Just call him if that happens. He is friendly but super busy. But I'm still happy because they don't charge a lot. So I expect less than perfect service. They did the installation on time. Still waiting on the final installation date confirmation for the last of the project, but wanted to share my thoughts so far! Overall, the final product was great (two custom closets - see pics). We needed to have a better storage system and ahead of the arrival of baby no. 2 wanted to maximize every sq inch we had available to us. However, BIG caveat is that the process PRIOR to the installation of closets was a pain. Specifically, their rep Ashant. I waited nearly two weeks for an initial quote (even tho measurements were already provided from a diff vendor) and had to follow up with him nearly every day. Almost as if I had to BEG THEM for service. Also, it did appear he didn't confirm final measurements as the installers (who were great) were able to correct onsite the day of. Also, Ashant had said during the initial quote walkthrough that the "backs" after demo would be painted/covered. However, it was a question on the day-of install and apparently I needed to specially have that listed on the contract? One would assume a polished look upon completion without holes and colors from wall being off, so make sure that is listed clearly in your contract! Thankfully, when I called the office to clarify, the installer came with the backings of the closet to ensure a cleaner more professional look. UPDATE: after contacting the office consistently for the past four days with no response as to when our remaining kitchen doors will be installed. I attempted to email, call the office directly which would to voicemail, left voicemail, and text and email Ashant directly. Finally got an update after a week of diligent constant follow-up and yesterday was the install. Cabinet doors ended up great - Edgar was very knowledgeable and awesome. Final recco and updated stars: the end product is great. However, if you're not the type of client that stays on top of vendor, it can be exhausting constantly doing the chasing and checking in. I cannot in good conscious recommend to family and friends b/c of the full experience. Some have even reached out but I had to give them the heads up about the communication issue. We still have an entry closet and garage to complete but nervous to continue to even begin another quote! As a small business, the owner should consider putting Ashant on a PIP (performance improvement plan) or heavily consider his replacement. Maybe put him in the back office or as the installer - Just not interacting directly with clients. As someone representing the company going forward, it clearly has damage and potential revenue impacts. Edgar mentioned that the client prior to him that VERY MORNING was also complaining about Ashant. Clearly, this is a well-known, "not a new" problem that has been raised. If the sales rep can match the final quality of product and service, this business would be great!! I've read the reviews and I will be honest, they are VERY busy. But considering their affordable closets and small company there is NO ONE that beats the work they do with the pricing they offer. We went from just doing a master closet to adding on a nursery closet, guest bedroom walk in closet, garage cabinets, pantry AND office because the master closet came out WAY BETTER than I expected. To add on additional work was super easy and i'm glad we chose them. Other companies were way overpriced for a middle class family and one company didn't even want to visit our home for a quote unless we were going to spend a ridiculous amount of money. From start to finish Anna and her team of installers were so nice and accommodating. Reading the other reviews I can see how many people may have been frustrated, but i've learned through a full renovation that patience is a key characteristic to not get frustrated with timelines. Yes I agree that follow through is important but for me personally I didn't get too frustrated with small bouts of non-communication as long as the work was getting done. And I will admit that there were stop gaps in communication, but I understood that they were short staffed and doing their best. Shipping of certain items did cause some of the delays in finishing the product, but that's affecting every business right now. ***Review based on estimate appointment only*** Let me start by saying I have had this place favorited on Yelp for some time now. We recently bought a house and needed a lot of work to be done. I have always wanted to have a walk in closet with all the bells and whistles so it was finally my time to get quote from these guys. I booked an appointment via Yelp and Anna was the associate who came out for the estimate. She was friendly, on time and offered more services than what I expected a closet place to do. She took all the measurements upstairs and downstairs for all the custom cabinets and master closet. As we went along, she started to offer me more services such as total cabinet switch out of kitchen and vanities, bathroom remodel etc. she was music to my ears since we had so much to get done. If it would save me more money to go with one vendor, that would be awesome. Anyways, I was all hyped up to get the estimate so see if we could afford it. Waited the whole weekend and didn't even hear a peep. Monday came and I called to follow up. Every time I call, another associate says "she's busy with another client. She will get her quote out today. One day passed, two days, three days, four days and finally on the fifth day. She emailed me the estimate. I immediately responded with some revisions and asked if she had included the bathroom remodel in the quote. Crickets, crickets.... called the office again and the other girl still said, "she's busy with a client. She got your email." Ok, I just wanted to make sure she got it. No response since then. As much as the initial quote came out to be a good price, what is the use if the communication of the place is extremely poor. I can't even imagine if I actually went with them, give them the money and just get ghosted. They obviously do not need my business and it doesn't look like they need many other folks business on this Yelp page either. I should have read the recent reviews before scheduling an estimate. I would not recommend this company to even my worse enemy We hired them to redo our kitchen and living room floor. We first dealt with Patty who in order to get the contract promised the world but fell far short. Our main concern was that because we have kids, the project be completed ASAP and all health and safety measures be taken to protect our kids. Per contract the project was supposed to be completed in 2-3 weeks. But because of their many errors, it took 4 weeks. It took them 1 week to put the hardwood floors on a very small space. After payment of half, they didn't start work for another 1.5 months. Several communications went unanswered. Now that they were paid, Patty was suddenly back tracking on things we had agreed to, or simply been unwilling to do things we had paid for. She also became unresponsive for several weeks. Finally, after making several demands and sending stern texts and emails, they started working. Once the project started, there was no tarp or protectant--Dust was everywhere. A few days later they started doing the floors. The first big mistake they made was that the hardwood floors were placed incorrectly. Yes, the guys they employed to do the hard wood floor had zero clue how to place the floors. Luckily, I noticed it before they did the whole house. Initially, the workers wanted to leave it that way in the kitchen and then start doing it correctly throughout the rest of the house. We said NOPE. That day We called and texted Patty and informed her of what was going on and how we were losing confident in Bella's Cabinet's ability to execute the project. Rather than apologizing and work to gain our confidence again, all Patty said was "Don't Worry" The VERY NEXT DAY, she comes to our house and demands more money. An additional $10,000 before the cabinets are delivered. Neither she nor anyone at Bella's Cabinets called to apologize about the error with the floors, rather, they just wanted more money. You just made a huge mistake and but for us the floors would have started to crumble, yet you are asking for more money. We called Alfredo to inform him we were losing confidence in their ability to execute this project and not feeling confident about paying more money at this time. We wanted to wait a few more days before coughing up more money. By the way, the floors were still not complete. But what we get from Alfredo is not a sorry, you have my confidence, it's a threat to not deliver the cabinets unless we pay up. And then, in perhaps the dumbest flex I've ever heard, he told us that he has been sued several times before and he knows the law requires he fix any mistakes they make. In other words, this guy gets sued so many times, he claims to know the law. Under threats and duress, we pay the additional $10,000. They set up a saw outside of our toddler's window and proceed to cut everything there. No tarps or anything. Saw dust flying all over our driveway, plants, lawn, cars, our toddler's room smelling of sawdust. Toddler and infant are coughing nonstop. At this point, the relationship has broken down and it is beyond repair. But we text Patty to let her know about the impact of the sawdust on our babies. We never get a confirming text from Patty. However, we overhear Patty, in Spanish, telling the workers: "it is not her or Bella's problem if my kids are coughing." Apparently, as long as they are paid, to hell with us and our health. The overall work was mediocre at best. One kitchen cabinet was hanging off the wall by an inch. Although we got the back splash all the way up to the ceiling because Alfredo saw we were upset, the black grout was put on sloppily and it stained our ceiling and countertop. We had to keep checking their work and telling him "this is not right, this was done improperly" When they came to install the appliances they again did such a terrible job, they ended up flooding the kitchen which occurred after the first time we used the dishwasher. The flood in the kitchen caused some of the floors to be damaged. At this point, the project that was supposed to be 2-3 weeks had now entered its 4th week because of their incompetence and sloppy work. On the last day of the project, they came to finish some painting they had failed to do, to fix the floor they had ruined because of the flood. While finishing up the project, they broke our window lock. We informed them about the broken window and Alfredo said we were liars and were making it up because we did not want to pay the balance of $4350. Mind you, by this point, we had already paid $25,000. Alfredo also threatened us by saying he was going to "come over to our house". This obviously frightened my poor wife. We ultimately withheld $350 as fee for replacement of the window Alfredo refused to repair. We paid the rest of the balance. read more

We used Bella Closets for the following: 1) Murphy bed, 2) makeup vanity, 3) shelving above the murphy bed, 4) under the sink pull out drawer, 5) three drawer legal file cabinet and 6) two pull out shelves in our foyer closet. This was over two orders so we were repeat customers. The owner Alfredo is easy to communicate with and offers very reasonable pricing. Initially dealing with his salesperson Ashant was problematic since he was often slow to respond to emails and his measurements were incorrect. But Alfredo stepped in to resolve the situation fairly and we were happy with our initial two purchases. Because we liked the quality and found him to be reasonable, we came back for another order. He gave us a discount as repeat customers. His install crew is professional and diligent. They generally work pretty fast and are fairly neat. Update to owners response: Alfredo, if you would had taken the time to come and inspect yourself as we had requested you would have known that the "leak" wasn't in that same area. You would know that the leak was from where our sink went. Which is no where near the wall where these pictures are from or next to the shower as you are stating. Not pictured are the unevenness and cloudy areas that are where the sink cabinets would cover the area. We didn't even bring up those areas since they would be covered. But now that we have your interest, please explain why more than half of our garage is so rough that if I try to clean it, my rag/mob get caught on the floor? As we had been explained that it would be so easy to clean with epoxy floors. And I do consider it harassment when you are yelling like a mad man, only because my husband was asking you to come see the work on the floors. We had asked your team to have the owner call us, and after weeks of not hearing from you, you called yelling that we owe you money and we needed to pay because if not you were going to send us to collections. This is the behavior you think is appropriate when a costumer is asking you as the owner to call them?! Our intention were never not to pay you, but we wanted you to see the work that was done! Company came out and gave us a quote and had asked if the price was firm on the quote for garage cabinets and epoxy the garage floor. They came back with $100 discount. We agreed and set up the date. The day before we had originally scheduled, we had already given them 2000 (which is half of the quote) deposit for the cabinets and material. And would give a quarter of the quote when they came and did epoxy floors, and the final payment when cabinets were installed. My husband called because we had not heard from them, glad he did because they told him they didn't have us on the schedule, strange since 2k had already been given. They said they would figure it out, originally planned for them to start Friday and they moved it to Saturday. No problem with us. First day on Saturday, crew arrived on time. They had told us it would take about 2-3 hours to prep the floor and start with the floor paint and "sprinkles", then return the following day to put the top coat/sealant. They were here for over 8 hours the first day, they kept saying that are garage floors required more work then they had expected. I'm not sure what happened since someone came out to measure and also look at the floors. They came to place the top coat, there were no issues that I can remember. But due to the weather they wanted to wait 48 hours before stepping on the floors to make sure it had fully dried. Which we were okay with, we of course wanted them to come out great. Cabinets were built and installed. That same day we started walking on our floors and noticing the poor quality of work. A lot of areas that were cloudy. Company was notified and they came back twice to redo some areas. Of course, the job still was not completed correctly. Not only is there 2 different shades of gray, because they just corrected certain areas. Which now is even a bigger eyesore. The floor is awful, the reason why we wanted to redo our floors was to make it a play area for our son. The floor is a mix of some areas done correctly with areas that are just awful. I can't even clean it because there are so Many areas that are rough and looks like was not coated correctly. My son had a small fall and scraped his arms. The garage floor is more hazardous than if my son fell on just the concrete. My husband called the company multiple times, he also asked to have owner, Alfredo to call him and discuss the work that was done, and request that he come see what we are talking about. He got a call days later and it was the Alfredo the owner harassing my husband with sending him to collections because he hadn't paid the last payment. The owner was yelling at my husband over the phone. My husband called him the next day to clear things up stating that we plan on paying him but want him to come take a look at our floors. He said he would, a couple days later passed and we hadn't heard from him. My husband again called and txt him. He said he would come and then we didn't hear from him. He then stated he just wanted us to pay him and he wasn't going to come look at the floors. Really has been a headache and very unprofessional experience, would not recommend and actually costing us more to have another company redo the floors. Alfredo/owner states we are people that just don't want to pay, which if that was the case why would we had blindly sent him 2k via Venmo before any job had been started and another 1k before even half the job had been done. Some Companies get by on overpromising and under delivering. It's an easy way to get your business but a terrible way to build rapport and a following. I'll admit, I was skeptical of what Bella Closets was promising but I'm blown away on what they are delivering. We spent a good amount of time getting quotes on new closets from multiple companies. Having a house built in 1957 automatically disqualified us from some closet companies. Trying to find a solution to fit modern closet technology into a 1950's hole in the wall wasn't easy. Especially the amount of modifications needed before and after. Bella closets came in and looked at the job and said "yes, I can do this all". I've added pictures to give you and idea and I'm still sitting here wondering how they made it look this good. Top notch materials, workers, and customer service. Call and ask for Anna. Initial quick response but doesn't follow through... I called Bella Closets because they were near and had good reviews. They left a good first impression and answered right away. We scheduled an estimate within the week. However, the day of our appt time, no one showed and I had to call and remind them. Their excuse was that they had the incorrect phone number and couldn't call to follow up but they fixed it by sending someone out the same day. After the estimate, we had a rough outline and we started working out the fine details. We were good at exchanging emails daily, then All of a sudden they stopped responding. I called because I had things to add to the design, they said they will send me another update of the design and I never got one, I emailed and still no answer. Unfortunately, this is when it started taking them more than 3 days to respond and I would have to call for updates/questions. I got of tired putting so much effort on getting the details/concerns addressed and pretty much gave up with continuing with their services. read more

I came across Bella Closet around October 2023 when it was time for me to order for my custom kitchen cabinetry and 2 closets. I was shopping around for 3 different companies before I came across Bella. From the get go, Alfredo is extremely professional. He came to the property when I haven't had my drywall done. He gave me a rough estimate and he said he needed to come back again once the drywall is done to take an exact measurement and would give me a more detailed price breakdown. He invited me to his workshop and I did make a visit before signing the contract. My closet and kitchen cabinet was done within 3 weeks. This truly exceeded my expectation. It came out extremely beautiful and well done. Excellent workmanship. Alfredo is extremely responsive. I had tons of questions/concerns and he always addresses them professionally. Well, They will give you a surprise when the quote is given and which is over 3 times what they initially told you. I went to their store and chose the finish I liked, I talked to Susana and gave her the dimensions of my closet to ask her if she could do the design for me. She said yes but need to charge $105 for design which makes a lot of sense. But I would like to know what the range is before I let them design. And I have let her know that I want drawers in my bedroom closets. She said it would be around $4-5 grand including installation. I feel that totally works for me and she said she will send it in the next morning as my project shouldn't take too long. I keep waiting and keep asking for the design every day and finally, after 4 days she sent me the design and the quote ends up as $12,584 which is triple what she told me in the beginning and it doesn't include any drawers!! only shelves!! I definitely wouldn't proceed with it not only because it's way over my budget but also because the quote is way different from what they estimated. By far I am not that pissed if I could get my "design" fee back, so I kindly asked if they could as the quote they gave is out of control and I wouldn't pay the design fee if they could give a much closer number in the beginning. But they just simply refused and said that I could use their rendering to find another workshop to do the work so I had to pay for it. Which is absolutely ridiculous. As a cabinet shop, you should be more professional in your estimate to avoid wasting customers' time and money. That's all I want to say. read more

Worst experience ever! I hope no one ever does business with them. Over charged me, then tried to charge me more than the agreed and signed contract. They dry walled the garage and totally destroyed the electrical wiring for the garage door. Also installed cabinets in closets and there's screws sticking out, and for some reason they thought it was a good idea to take off the cover for the light on closet but they never put it back and now I have an exposed light. read more

They were easy to communicate with, showed up to do the measurements and soon after I received an email with a digital image of what they will look like installed. I responded some changes in the design I would like to see and the next day I received the updated images. Once I paid the deposit (they take several forms of payment, I went with Venmo) they schedule me for 2-3 weeks later for the install. I usually don't shop around or get multiple estimates. I did this time because I kept hearing Home Depot was great and this n that. Well Home Depot was way more expensive. For a closet that did not look as good. Here are the before and after pictures. It's weird but all the cabinet work and the closet actually feels bigger than before. All of the dead space is now being used. I highly recommend this company and their attention to customer service. When I called Bella Closets the person who answered was very friendly and had an excellent customer service. She answered all my questions. She was also able to schedule me a next day appointment to take the measurements, the designer was very professional and gave me more ideas .I was very excited to see the design. I contacted Bella Closets for an estimate for designing and installing two closets following water damage in our home. Susanna the design consultant was very thorough and creative to help me come up with a space saving solution for shoes and storage of clothing. The closet installation had to be closely coordinated with the installation of a new floor. Again Susanna was proactive and regularly checked in with me to insure the work was completed in a timely manner. The installer was excellent as well.
