Quite frankly, based on past experiences with contractors, I didn't want to deal with sales people. People whose only job is to sell and aren't responsible for performing the actual work themselves. Salespeople are more interested in up charging and selling things you don't need in order to over-inflate the invoice and possibly earn a bigger commission. I prefer working with smaller, local companies that are honest and have a great reputation. That is what prompted me to reach out to this company. My experience working with Ryan Lesak at Forever Dry was wonderful. I can't say enough good things about his company. He was on-time for his appointment, super friendly, genuine and extremely knowledgeable. Not to mention, before the visit he spent 30 minutes on the phone with me discussing the issue, thinking it may be a foundation issue, and providing sound advice regarding condo bylaws, real estate, etc. His father happens to be a real estate attorney. After spending time investigating the issue, which included cutting some dry wall and visiting my next door neighbors unit, Ryan discovered the seepage I was experiencing was a result of my next door neighbor, (connecting townhome unit), who had some long-standing issues that they didn't fix in a timely manner. Their hot water heater was leaking and the condenser on their AC unit was clogged. The constant flow of water on in their utility room floor was seeping into my basement. Unfortunately, I incurred damage to my unit as a result. Ryan recommended resources I can call (handyman & carpet repair) once my neighbor resolves their issues. Despite my constant insisting, Ryan refused to charge me for the visit. This is unheard of. Who does that these days? No one! My experience was extremely positive with this company. I will definitely refer this business to anyone needing waterproofing repair. I am grateful I found this company.

We contacted the company multiple times and provided photos. While they state they performed follow-up work and that the system is functional, we were not provided a resolution that addresses the exposed piping or returns it to its original buried condition. There is a disagreement regarding responsibility for final grading and restoration. Based on this experience, I would not recommend them to others.

Mike Smith of the company inspected the issue proposed a fix that included a drainage system and sump pump. He also assured me that they could take care what ever issue they may find down there. I had Basement Flood Protector out to my home in the spring of 2024 for a major waterproofing job…read moreon my personal residence. The job involved a full interior drain tile system and exterior dig/waterproofing on 2 sides of my home. I waited 2 summers before writing this review because the effectiveness of their work can really only be gauged over time. This week, we had torrential amounts of downpour that went on all night. Prior to the waterproofing, my basement would have had water seeping in from the block foundation walls, back basement door, and up through the cracks in my slab. I'm happy to report that my basement stayed completely dry. Since this job was done in April 2024, I've only had 1 instance of water. I immediately called Basement Flood Protector and, because their work has a 10-year warranty on the exterior and lifetime warranty on the interior, they came out and immediately remedied the situation. No water since. This was a big job that I did a ton of upfront research on and quoted 3 other big/well-known waterproofing companies. The reason I went with Basement Flood Protectors was: 1) Sales Process: John was my contact at Basement Flood Protector. He did not put on the big sales pitch and presentation I got from 2 of the other companies. He was straight shooting and was clearly the expert in waterproofing, not just a sales person. 2) Responsiveness: Basement Flood Protector answered all my follow-up questions and concerns whereas other companies seemed to dance around some questions. As an example, when asking one of the other big competitors the cost for an exterior dig, rather than saying it's not work they do (or want to do) the sales person verbally quoted me some unrealistic/high number. Another major company completely ghosted after I called/emailed 3+ times to try and speak to someone about moving forward with the job (feel like I dodged a bullet there). 3) The price: They were notably better-priced for the work I wanted done.
