We recently used Elite Energy Solutions to re-insulate our attic. My first contact was through Scott, who came over and checked the attic and gave me an estimate. He was professional and polite, and that first meeting was a good experience. When the day came to have the insulation put in, Ashton and his crew showed up and began to test the doors and windows for leaks. Unfortunately, they weren't able to put the attic insulation in because for that type of insulation all living beings (including pets) must be out of the house for about 24 hours. While this was inconvenient because I needed to make special arrangements to leave that long with my 19-year-old cat (the things we do for our pets, huh?), we set a new day after profuse apologies and the promise of a discount for the oversight. On the actual day of service, everything went smoothly. I left my key with Ashton for the duration of the work--which was about 4 hours--then came back and took the key back. It has been about a month since the work was done, and there is definitely an improvement with the temperature inside the house remaining more constant. I thought the work was very well done and even with the miscommunication, I felt that Scott and Ashton were both very good to work with and were able to use good customer service skills in the moment when there was an issue. Inevitably in business, there will be an issues and mistakes because businesses are made of humans and humans are not perfect. I think that how a company handles shows more than not making a mistake to begin with. Overall, I was happy with this experience. I thought the initial price I was given was very good as well. The only other thing that I was a little 'meh' on was that I felt the windows/doors could have been better sealed (which was part of the service I was getting); however, it isn't anything I can't do myself. Elite Energy Solutions staff are violating Orem City laws. Solicitor knocked on my door despite a clearly posted "no soliciting" sign. He also did not have a visible Orem City soliciting badge on his person. Ignoring the "no soliciting" sign is a potential misdemeanor and not having a solicitor's badge is another misdemeanor. Please train your staff properly to follow the laws. read more

These guys came to our house for Dominion's ThermWise home-sealing program. They installed some weather stripping, broke our door, and having examined exactly one window, told us all of them were sealed perfectly. My wife asked them to seal three of our windows despite their assurance that the icy air we felt blowing through the room during winter was coming from the furnace (!!). They caulked over the existing cracked caulk in the sloppiest manner imaginable, getting smudges all over our painted frames, windowsills, a couch, and even a blanket. Maybe call someone else. read more

I'm not very happy with the work the team did. They rearranged strike plates to allow doors to close with the new weather stripping, but left multiple screws out of the strike plates and left other screw heads sitting proud of a strike plate where they can catch on people and clothing. And who uses drywall screws for strike plates?? read more

A representative from Elite Energy Solutions (Garrett Johnson) knocked on our door in July. My husband agreed to have them come in our home to check to see if there were any areas where we could be more energy efficient. They left an absolute disaster in our home. I have waited SIX months to see if they would make it right before leaving this complaint, but clearly they are not coming back. The two workers that sealed energy leaks in our home let the foam insulation drip onto my plantation shutters. These were beautiful white shutters. Now they have dried foam on them and are totally ruined. The spray dropped onto the floor in our bathroom and down the walls. The work was sloppily done elsewhere in the house. They slapped on cheap foam tape around my crawl space door that pulled off the first time I opened the door. On my front door they literally put piece of foam covered with black electrical tape in the corner where there is a small opening to the outside. We immediately called to complain. They sent a rep out who said that they would come to clean up the mess. They supposedly were going to replace the plantation shutters, but again, there has been no communication from the company. I don't like leaving bad reviews. I don't like conflict or contention so I have tried to be really patient, but this is a bad company. There work in the first place was substandard and then they didn't do what they said they would do to make a bad situation right. You don't run a company this way. I would NEVER allow these people into my home. Terrible service, terrible work product, terrible employees, terrible in every way. One star is too many, by the way.
