Sheldon, our technician, thoroughly tested our 12-year-old gas furnace and correctly diagnosed a problem. He is friendly and respected our property. We got a clear answer about a needed repair and he came by the next day and installed two inexpensive sensors. Total cost came to $139. He ran the furnace through several heating cycles while he waited to ensure he had corrected the problem. A few days before we had a competitor's technician take a look, but he didn't find the problem and instead recommended about $2200 in so-called repair parts. Most of those parts had nothing to do with the the problem. And I had installed some of them as new parts only a month or so ago. Talk about a scam. Contacted them from a referral and couldn't be happier. Carter was knowledgeable, personable, profressionable and friendly. He explained everything as he was doing it and determined the root of the problem was the capacitor running the blower. He ran out and got a new one and was back in minutes. There are two parts to this horrendous experience. The first part of the story involves the upstairs unit which Method Air installed, and the second part of the story involves the basement unit which Method Air also installed. Part One - We moved into our home in July 2021. When we moved into our home we had to call Method Air who was the subcontractor for Arrive Homes and who was responsible for the installation of our two Bryant heating/AC units (one upstairs and one in the basement). We had just been in our home a few months and the AC went out upstairs. We called Arrive who referred us to Method Air. Method Air came and inspected the issue, which was under warranty at the time, told us the cement upon which our outdoor A/C unit had finally "settled" which caused the hose to leak the A/C refrigerant. With no monetary charge (because of the warranty) Method Air recharged the refrigerant and told us we were good to go. That was a lie. In the summer of 2022, we had to call them again because the upstairs A/C went out. This time they told us they would replace various parts, recharge the refrigerant, and told me personally that I wouldn't have to call them again. Well, I had to call them again in the summer of 2023 and in the summer of 2024. Finally in the summer of 2024 a tech came out, told me he found a nail in the line which runs up to the upstairs unit, plugged the line, and then tried to charge me $1,282.50 (with labor accounting for $900 of that bill at $225 per hour). I laughed and told the tech to have his manager contact me because that was outrageous. I ended up not paying for labor after a brief discussion with the manager, but I did pay for parts. Guess what happened? That same unit just stopped blowing hot air this morning (12/6/2024). Keep in mind we have only been in our home for 3 1/2 years and I have had 5 issues with that unit. Part Two - The basement unit started giving us trouble in the winter of 2022. I had a tech come out who was unable to diagnose the issue. Finally, after Method Air sent the same tech three times and the issue wasn't resolved I asked for another tech. He came, told me the unit wasn't installed properly and proceeded to bang on it with a hammer to angle the unit so that the condensation in the unit would finally drain (I have video of this). Summary - Please don't use Method Air. They are incompetent, unethical, and take no responsibility for their work or in this case shoddy workmanship. I manage the property maintenance of a nursing home and had Method Air bid a job against our prior contractor. Not only did they won that job, fixed a couple of roof top units for me but did so well I've since then Icontracted them on a preventative maintenance plan and they were cheaper than our prior company, did more work per visit, been on time every appointment, never had and saved me thousands of dollars and we're only just getting started. Cody and Scott at Method Air are amazing to work with! My husband's elderly Aunt lives in Draper. Her furnace stopped working and she was out of heat. The outside temperatures varied from the teens to the 30's. Her home was exceedingly cold! My husband and I live in Texas and were not there to assist her. We had a couple of electric heaters brought to her and quickly started the desperate search for help. I called Bryant Corporate and was referred to Method Air, in Draper. Cody was extremely helpful and sent Scott out to evaluate the situation. Her furnace needed a new circuit board. Scott and Cody were able to acquire and install a new board that day! Scott also inspected her system to make sure everything was working properly. Due to her limited income, Scott and Cody made the cost sometime she could afford. Unfortunately, we live in a day and age there this kind of service is hard to experience. Method Air was like a dear friend coming to the rescue. I feel highly confident in recommending Method Air to any of my family or friends for their air conditioning/heating needs. read more

Method was contracted out through another company to do a repair for my furnace vent. The owner Cody was difficult to work with and condescending. This was a simple job that should have only taken a few hours. Instead there was a miscommunication, and Method sent an invoice to the company that was paying for the repair even though they hadn't done any work. It took several weeks for them to complete the job and they left a pretty big mess in our house. read more
