We had a terrible experience with "Expert" Services and I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone. The service person was not honest. He told us the furnace was putting out extremely high levels of carbon monoxide and that we needed to replace our furnace immediately. He quoted me $5,000. I told him I was going to get a second opinion. We had another service provider over that afternoon and they said they did not detect any carbon monoxide and that it was perfectly safe. I'm certain that if they tried to convince me that I needed a new furnace by stating it was unsafe due to carbon monoxide that they have used this same tactic on others and will likely do it again. If I could give them ZERO starts then I would. read more

So I got recommended to these guys to get my AC checked out for my daughters house in Pleasant Grove. I meant them over there and they saw that I had an AC unit that wasn't working at all they gave me like three different options and since I was planning on selling the house I was not keen on taking in those then he mentioned to me they had some used ACs that were not very efficient but would get us through until we sold the house. All three Experts were amazing and resolved my issues. I'd give them ten stars if possible! The light switch toggle broke off in our master bedroom last night with the lights on, so we had to sleep with eye masks. Not fun. I called two other electricians this morning from yelp. One company couldn't send anyone to help for four days. The second company didn't answer their phone or return my call (I called them a year ago and left a message which they never returned). Then I called Expert Electrical. They sent two electricians to my home WITHIN TWO HOURS to fix our light switch. And checked several other outlets inside and outside the home. They only charged me $125 for an hours' work (including parts) and waived the $29.99 service call fee. Stewart and Wes were professionals and were friendly. I appreciate their help immensely. They called to let me know they were on their way and to let me know when they would arrive at my house. They were clean and polite. Great electricians!! read more

Chris came out to estimate the cost of installing an A/C unit - he was really knowledgeable and of the three estimates I got, he was the only one that said, 'If this was my home...' Expert was also the only quote to recommend hanging insulated ductwork for my crawl space instead of just replacing the hard pipe. Chris was incredibly thorough, looking at every return and the electric panel and going into my icky crawl space multiple times to answer my questions. He even staged out some improvements we could make later if air flow wasn't where I hoped it would be, but wanted to try the basics first to save me money. When he and Mark came out to install the unit, they were absolutely terrific - friendly, personable, hard-working, tidy and conscientious. They added a Nest thermostat for me and had everything connected before they left. I am so glad I went with Expert. The financing options were great, the customer service was top-notch, and I feel like I got exactly what I needed. I'm actually making a list of plumbing tasks to call them back with. That same day we also began to have gas and hot water issues. Next thing we know, the gas man wouldn't turn the water heater on. They tried to tell us it would be thousands of dollars to "hunt" for a mixing vale in our home to make an adjustment. They were out for a water heater issue and the first person said it was DEFINITELY the dip tube, second person said it was definitely NOT the dip tube. They determined the expansion tank was bad and replaced it and said to the warranty company that my hot water issue was fixed. If you do even a two second google search, you will see the expansion tank does not determine if your water is hot or not. Then they said to fix the mixing valve they would most likely have to get into the walls of the house and it would take days. Later that day my contractor came over and made an adjustment within 5 minutes to the mixing valve that was NEAR the water heater and very visable to anyone that walks into the basement. They also were asked to come back out by our warranty company and they said they would, yet they never showed up and closed out the repair without doing what they were paid by the warranty company to do. Thank goodness the warranty company issued a second opinion and another company came out and immediately found the problem and was able to fix it. Expert is definitely a liberal term to use for these people. read more

Expert Plumbing has gotten me out of many a jam. Most recently, the fancy toilet in the house was making a weird grinding noise and the water was constantly running, which was a bit unsettling -- it sounded like a monster in the powder room, just something to be avoided. As a lazy person, I let this go on longer than I perhaps should have, but it finally got on my nerves so I called Expert and they got me scheduled right away. Saiosi (George) came out and discovered that it needed some new parts, so he helped me get the right parts and then came back out once they arrived. Lance, with Expert Services came out to our home to evaluate the problems we were having with our hot water heater. We had been living with brown water from the rusting tank, loud tank noises, and it had to be on the highest setting to get hot water. It was just a matter of time before the tank started to leak. Lance was very efficient, had all the necessary equipment, tools, and replacement parts on his truck, and was ready to install the new hot water heater immediately. He and his co-worker worked diligently and efficiently to get a new water heater and expansion tank replaced. They were very considerate being in our home, and made sure they were very careful and tidy with the whole process.
