The gym itself is clean and conveniently located, but my experience with personal training was extremely disappointing. 1 clearly communicated specific training preferences and a prior back injury, yet my concerns were repeatedly ignored. I was pushed to lift more weight than I was comfortable with, which resulted in significant soreness and nervous system distress that left me unable to work out for an entire week. When I raised this as an injury concern, it was completely dismissed and brushed off as "normal." Instead of listening or taking accountability, the staff turned the situation around on me, questioned my nutrition and effort, and showed no genuine concern for my physical well-being. When I expressed that I no longer felt safe or comfortable continuing training, I was initially told I still had to pay under the contract. While they eventually released me from the contract and refunded my remaining sessions, the lack of care, empathy, and willingness to listen was shocking. This experience made it clear that client concerns-especially regarding injuries-are not taken seriously. I would not recommend this gym if you have specific needs, injuries, or expect a truly customized and supportive training

He wasn't very apologetic for these errors, in one case blaming me for his misunderstanding - a sign of things to come. I was livid, but I chose to carry on because he will not refund unused sessions. The ensuing attempts to resume my workout routine were rife with communication errors, and despite my request--and his agreement--to send appointment confirmations in advance, he would not send them until the morning of the workout itself - often only a couple hours before it was to take place. When I finally reached my wits end with his lackadaisical attitude, I contacted him to see if we would refund a portion of my unused workouts as a sort of compromise. What ensued was the most unbelievable conversation I've ever had. He proceeded to blame me and my inconsistent schedule as the reason he didn't bother to send out confirmations in advance anymore. For every issue I had with his communication, he blamed my schedule. He was argumentative and rude, and did not even attempt to listen to any sort of compromise. Instead, he continued to profess that the problem was my schedule and that he would've sent confirmations out if I had solidified more than just one week of my schedule at a time. He never accepted any responsibility for his mistakes, brushing his missed appointments off as "simple human error" despite leaving me waiting during those times. My workouts with Tony were alright, but he's just not flexible. My job is demanding and I don't always have the luxury of knowing weeks of scheduling in advance. In the end, the lack of professionalism he displayed was simply too much to bear. I walked away from several hundred dollars worth of sessions because he just can't be reliable.

CrossFit sounds really intimidating for somebody who hasn't been physically active in a long time, but I received all the information I need to succeed.
