They are the only shop that I am aware of in the US that doesn't just rebuild; but they also fortify the engine making it less vulnerable to the problems these engines have. I've been using this place for 10 years now and I couldn't be happier. I travel about an hour to get there and will spend a couple hours just going through all of the Saab's he has, finding little knick knacks that I need. Steve is a nice guy, but very busy and get's down to business. Between having the phone ring off the hook to constant people in and out of the office, they do a fantastic business. I called in. Person on the phone said give them an hour before I come so they can have the part ready. I got there .. i was made to wait. And wait. and wait. I asked what the hold-up was, he said he was waiting for the UPS guy. I asked politely if the part was ready, he said yes. So I asked (again, politely) why I can't just get it and pay and I'll be out of there in minutes. He said "The UPS guy is coming. And I have to send something out today." I am just dumb founded. If the part was pulled like he said, why can't I just pay for it and go? I waited 45 minutes! Unfortunately, there is no other place to go for Saab parts. I love my Saab, but if this is my only option for same day parts, I'm seriously considering selling my car, no matter how I love it. read more

I just spent some time with Steve this afternoon arranging (finally) to rehab my 2001 Saab convertible. This is our 3rd Saab. The last 2 have made it to at least the 10 year mark and the only reason the 1st one didn't was because I was dumb enough to lease instead of buying it and had to trade it in. As the last one (a 94 convertible) was aging I discovered Steve and had him supply me with lots of much needed parts. Elite Auto and Steve, I have been Dealing with this company since I was 13 years old, Looking for a used Power steering rack for my 1984 900, that was over 15 years ago and I am still buying from him to this day, Although the car has changed to a newer version ( with AC finally :) He has the New Generation parts in stock for my 2007 Saab 9-3 Aero Combi,- Ive looked over a few reviews and I can see why people love this place as well, As for the Negative reviews I'm sure there are two sides of the story, But Steve has always gone out of his way to help me out- Being bargaining on price. Staying after hours for me to get off work. A Few times over the weekend a line starts to form of people looking for parts and they can not help everyone at the same time...I grab lunch across the street at Tommy's Burger and come back and its Clear... Purchased a used ECU from Rick and Elite almost two years ago and it's still running strong in my 92 Jaguar XJS. The part which was pretty expensive everywhere I looked, was very competitively priced and came with a 90 day warranty. Fast forward to this summer when I spent an arm and a leg trying to get the car in top running condition. The last thing I wanted to do was spend more money after a costly tune up, new AC compressor install and a bit more. The brakes are acting up and my mechanic tells me that I'm going to need a new ABS pump. I look online and the prices for a used part from private parties are ridiculous with no warranty. I call Rick and his guys again and of course they have one but also at a great price with a tremendous 6 month warranty!! Unfortunately upon install, the part starts to sizzle and smoke and my mechanic advises me to not install this part. To make a long story short, although it took some time, Rick was a man of his word and gave me the full refund on the part. Will definitely be doing business with him again as my Jag isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Great priced parts and honest business. read more

Horrible customer service, The owner did not have time to get me the part i wanted for my Saab becuase he had bigger orders to take care of. I am a customer also and every customer should be treated the same no matter what they buy. He told me (in a rude tone) to go and come back the next day. Very unsatisfied. Horrible customer service. Beware this company as they do not honor warranties, my client purchased a rebuilt engine on my recommendation, the engine was defective and had to be removed and returned, the engine was sent back and we were told that it was fixed but it was not, it continued to have the same exact low oil pressure issue. It appears that we are being lied to. We have been promised a replacement engine for months on end now but no results. Dealing with this guy is a nightmare, we are told the engine is already shipped but they will not provide the shipper's information. Communication is impossible, we're either ignored, put on hold, or blocked. I deeply regret ever having given this company my business. We did as instructed to remove the engine a second time and were told he was getting an engine ready for us. Because of this we have lost thousands of dollars and months of time. for some reason, i was never able to find any pick-n-pull places in LA. this place comes close, and is awesome in its own ways. if you have a saab and especially if you work on it yourself, this place is a heavensend. in a word, it's a saab junk yard, and they have EVERYWTHING from basically every older model. you don't pull yourself, but you go into their office and tell them what you want and they'll get it for you. the price is pretty good, but just know that you'll be getting a used part and it may be defective, but if that's the case you can bring it back and they'll give you another one. that's why this place is super awesome if you work on your own saab. it's a bit out of the way but worth the drive. i think they also have an ebay store. i've also heard of walter wong, the esteemed LA saab mechanic, refer people to this place for parts. all in all, anything from saab floor mats to steering racks, this is the place to come for used parts read more
