This is the best gym in town, the kids are in great hands. Phenomenal coaches, wouldn't go anywhere else.

I've been taking my kids to Aqua Tots for about 4 years now. The lessons have up to 4 kids in them…read moreand run for 30 minutes. Each of my kids were scared to go under water when they started and each instructor has been patient and kind and now they have no fear and each swim really good, even my youngest who started not long ago. Learning to swim is such an important skill to know and I'm happy that we have been able to stay consistent throughout the year. The skills they learn could get them in a swim team, not just the basic free style stroke. Backstroke, breaststroke and even the butterfly and flip turns are taught as they move up through the levels. I feel so much better knowing that my kids know what to do in a pool to feel confident and be able to swim.

Honestly, we've been pretty happy with the quality of instructors…read more However, the amount of behaviors Aqua Tots allows to happen during classes is becoming troubling. My daughter can hardly focus because most levels always have two students playing around putting hands on each other. The "deck supervisors" either do see the behavior and don't care enough to stop the disrupted class or aren't paying attention at all. Both excuses/reasons are a major safety concern and also unacceptable when classes only occur for once a week for $100 or more. This is not right to allow other students to have their learning and swimming disrupting that love swimming and want to be there to grow. Remove students that don't and are disrupting the class. Aqua Tots needs to sit those students out until it's their turn to do an exercise with the instructor. If it continues they need to walked out and go back to their parent until they stop disrupting the class. This is becoming a ridiculous circus, as it's happening too often in multiple classes.

Just got an email they're changing their kid care membership from $15/month for any number of kids…read moreto $8 drop-in for each child or $50 20-punch card that requires a punch for each kid. This is such a huge price jump, especially for those with multiple kids. We've only been members for a month before this and never got told about this change when signing up & there is no grand-fathering in current members. I've also driven all the way out just to have a sign saying the center is closed for the next couple days. There is little to no space for working out other than on equipment. Overall it has just been a constantly disappointing experience no matter how much I've tried to enjoy the membership.

I was confirmed to book an event on June 29th. After finalizing the details with the rental…read morerepresentative, I was contacted and told I couldn't have my event there bc they said my event would be too loud and interfere with the event next door. They said it was a celebration of life. I am celebrating life as well with a Princess Theme birthday party. As a resolution, they offered to move my party up so it could end before 3. They also asked me to change my date, select a location outdoors with June heat, or use one of the centers that did not have a pool. I feel like their actions are discriminatory in nature and not business oriented. When you are renting a venue, you have to be flexible and understanding regarding concurrent events? If the venue expects quietness then perhaps they should have offered the other party a time frame where the venue would be empty. This facility has a great indoor pool and will be packed in the summer!!! It's unfair to cancel my reservation due to them not believing I should be next door. I am extremely disappointed, hurt, frustrated, and confused. I have made plans for family for all over the US to be in town this day. I am simply pressing this matter to the highest level possible. You can't treat consumers in this way and think that sending them away is the best solution. Again, I was prepared to sign my contract and was within my window to pay for it. They chose not to pick me. I want be silenced. It has taken too much planning on my part. Be aware of discriminatory behavior and complain all the way to the top.

It's been a journey getting our kiddo to become an independent swimmer. We started out like many…read moreparents do enrolling her in swim lessons around age two or three to start. Those lessons were through the city, and we could never get her excited to attend. Most classes ended in tears, and she was adamant about not returning. Last summer we made really good strides at my parent's neighborhood pool and since my mom was a competitive swimmer and lifeguard back in the day she got pretty good instruction from her, which helped build her confidence back up. Flash forward to this winter, and I'm realizing that the clock is ticking on summer and our almost five year old really needs to up her game if she's going to attend pool parties and play with her friends once the weather warms. Enter: Aqua-Tots. To be honest I'm not sure I would have taken the plunge on an expensive little kid swim school had I not known folks that took their kids here. Aqua-Tots was recommended by one of our daughter's friend's parents and while pricey (it's around $30 per 30 minute lesson) I do think it's worth it overall. I was worried with the price point, and that it's a swim school in a suburban strip mall, that it would feel very impersonal and business like - like they would be trying to churn out as much money as possible. While I'm sure they are trying to make money, I don't feel like they are money gauging here. We've been going for probably two months now and I'd say even after the first lesson the front desk staff made a point to know who our daughter was and greeted us warmly each time we walked in. They even checked in with us to just see how it was going, how she's adjusting to lessons, and took the time to listen to her feedback, which I thought was super sweet. You can tell that they are engaged with their work and are good at it, which is partially why it costs $$ to go here, I think they likely actually pay their staff well. Now onto the lesson itself. The class sizes are capped around four kids which is great as they each get a good amount of personalized attention. The pool is kept warm so no tears getting in, and the teachers do a great job at keeping it fun for them. We've had a few tears going in here and there, and a few tears with going under the water, BUT she still likes going for the most part, and she loves her teacher. The bottom line here is that Aqua-Tots is expensive, there's no way around that fact, but they will teach your child to swim, they know how to coach young children, and they will do it in a supportive and welcoming environment.
