Such a gem in downtown OP! My family and I like to get a 3-month membership in the chilly months because the hot tub and sauna feel so good after working out. My kids love the lazy river and slide. It has a zero entry pool and splash area for the little kids too. Classes do cost extra but the prices are very reasonable. They also have lovely community rooms and spaces available for birthday parties and any other events. Staff members are always kind and helpful. Shout out to Steve at the front desk and Rosemary the life guard!

Great people and a lot of amenities with a full kids pool, lap lane Jacuzzi and sauna. Sauna's can be beneficial for heart health.

Great for kids. Disappointed they're charging same amount as before for "covid" restrictions. Pool slides should be open as well as daycare

I visited this Life Time twice during a recent trip to Overland Park... I worked from their cafe…read moreand worked out a bit as well as took a super quick cold plunge on my first visit. The second time I was in and out pretty quickly for a yoga class and ordered some dinner to go from the cafe. Aside from some construction happening in the parking lot, and the food selection not being as amazing as I was hoping, my experience was super positive. I see they offer tons of classes as well as pickleball and the facility is huge with pretty much any kind of workout equipment you could possibly want. If I lived in the area, I'd likely want to be a member here, but since I don't, I'll settle for being a guest when I visit. Thanks Life Time!

I had a very disappointing experience at the front desk today with Pat. I came in with my cousin,…read moreand when there was an issue with her guest pass, I tried to understand the policy and what other options were available. Unfortunately, I did not feel that Pat was helpful or interested in helping us find a solution. When I asked about purchasing a day pass instead, her response and facial expression came across as very dismissive. She commented the price of day pass was in a way that made me feel as though she was assuming I couldn't or wouldn't be able to afford it. I completely understand that employees have to follow Life Time's policies, and my issue is not that a policy was enforced. My concern is the way the situation was handled. I would have appreciated a more welcoming and professional approach, especially when I was simply asking questions and trying to understand our options. As a Life Time member, I expect front-desk interactions to feel helpful and respectful, even when the answer to a request is no. Unfortunately, that was not my experience today. Had to cancel the membership.

The form is taught in three sections, with the first section taught four times a year and the middle and last sections taught twice a year. Review sessions are held approximately every other Saturday morning. There is, at this time, not a regular push hands group at the studio, but the instructor is very knowledgeable in the practice of push hands, as well as the form. Beginning first-section form classes are usually filled to capacity, but middle section and final section classes are smaller. Learning the Tai Chi form requires memorization of the postures and the ability to connect them in a flow, so it is common for students to take the first section class sessions multiple times before enrolling in the middle section and last section classes. Tai Chi is best approached as a life-long practice which offers the opportunity for continued improvement, not only in the form but also in mental focus and decision-making in other areas of life. The instruction in this studio includes information on martial arts applications for the postures, but the focus is on relaxing and performing the postures without force or aggression. For advanced practitioners, don't hesitate to contact the teacher regarding push hands and sword form. He is very approachable and dedicated to the continuation of the Tai Chi in this lineage.

Ben Lo, in turn, was a student of Cheng Man-Ch'ing, the creator of the 37-movement style of Tai Chi. Andy's dept of knowledge of Tai Chi is amazing. He is able to share this knowledge in a relatable way to all levels of students. He consistently relates the principles of Tai Chi to practical application. I would highly recommend studying with Andy. Whether you are new to the practice of Tai Chi or a student of many years, Andy will impart new insights and help you refine your practice.

It's a big gym, rubber flooring throughout the entire place, with 8-9 Olympic lifting platforms, nice Rogue barbells, nice bumper plates and an AWESOME selection of kettlebells. The kettlebell trainers are all super-qualified and certified and it is THE place to go to learn the art of kettlebell training.
