Ok so I was indeed upset with this place in the last but luckily had a chance to sit down with my doctor and discuss what was upsetting me (Tolentino). She gave me her cell # and made sure I understood that she is there for me any time i need her. I then told her about my diet issues so she had me meet with Diana - one of the nutritionists. I decided to start a nutrition program and have to say I am veryyyy pleased. I had no idea I wasn't consuming enough protein in my day. I've been taking the vitamins and the protein powder they gave me and am shocked - I feel like a new person only after about 4 days of the program. I don't have to take nexium every day now - which saves me a ton of money!! Also, Diana is an absolute delight!! She texts me to check in and see if I'm following the program and have any questions. I'm excited to see the results after 30 days! I'm happy I gave Elite another chance because I feel great! read more

The most impossible place to reach by phone or email. The patient portal is ridiculous, you cannot send a message to your doctor and you can't call to make an appointment. I have been waiting since March 22, 2024 for the results of an x-ray. I had a telehealth visit planned to get the results and the nurse never called. In the two years my husband and I have been patients, we have never seen a doctor. We see a Nurse Practitioner. OK person, but we prefer seeing an MD at least once a year at our advanced ages. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone. read more

I love my dr Alina Rivera, however, the office - bad scheduling, time coordination is even worse. not considering that patient's time also important. Honestly wish I could give 0 stars. I had my appointments cancelled THREE times - the last cancellation was supposedly on MLK Jr Day at 5pm (though I don't have any record of them contacting me) when my appt was the next day at 10:15 am! Extra fun was finding out about the cancellation when I showed up for my appointment only to be turned away by the front desk staff. To top it off, front desk staff was extremely rude - made no effort to apologize for anything and started ignoring me when another customer came in (despite the fact there was a second receptionist available to help) - acted as if I were bothering her by being there! Definitely won't recommend and will find some place with a shred of professionalism. read more

Avoid Elite Health! Everything goes to a call center. Don't think that you are going to get through to talk to anybody in the doctor's office. I was having a major issue over getting the results to a test faxed to my new doctor's office. When I finally got the results faxed over they were for another patient. When I called and told them that they sent somebody else's report they told me that they would fax my report. When the office got the new report it was the exact same one that they had sent earlier only the other person's name had been whited out and my name was written in. No one really seem too concerned about this when I called them back. I finally had the same test redone somewhere else because I really didn't know for sure if it was my report or not. I could never get a straight answer out of anyone. This wasn't the only issue I had with them. I absolutely do not recommend going to this facility. read more

INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRACTICE. I went for an annual physical exam - they never followed up with the results. I had to drive over to get them after 5 months of calling. I made an appointment with the nurse practitioner to go over my results and she recommended all kinds of further testing including more blood work that had never been sent out to begin with. She told me incredibly incorrect information about my results - just to incur more costs... This practice should reconsider their priorities and focus more on peoples' health and less on money in their pockets! read more

Terrible parking. Another clinic nearby has their employees take up all the parking spaces. I am old and can't walk that much.

Better bring a second wallet. Also be prepared to cancel future appointments they schedule automatically for you. They tried to schedule me for a lab and a follow up a year after I saw them for a minor health issue. When I first visited they scheduled all these tests I didn't even need for hundreds of dollars, and Dr. Fayeghi didn't even address the issue I specifically requested. With the exception of the minimum 45 minute wait to be seen (happened on my last three visits ) this is a great facility. The Doctors are very good. Considering the scarcity of time with each patient, they are thorough and have good flow of information and documentation. The office has a great system from check-in to check-out but it doesn't always flow smoothly. Once inside it seems a bit chaotic between the staff and the over crowded inside-waiting area.They do have coffee, water and snacks to ease the wait but getting patients in and out would even be better. read more

this place used to be the best. i had been seeing another Dr. before this became Elite Health and it was great, they teamed up with Cardiology Partners and became a little better with Dr. Schnur as the cardiologist. as soon as they started with the ELite Health concept things started going down hill. it really seems to me that unless you are paying cash without insurance they do not care about you. with the exception of a few members of the staff. you have to make appointments 4 + months out, getting a hold of them to refill prescriptions is insane. unless you are super rich and want to pay in cash i would stay away from this place. read more

Horrible! My primary care physician retired. I made an appointment a week in advance with Dr. Steven A. Schnur for a Monday. A few days after making the appointment someone called me and said that Dr. Schnur would not be in that Monday. Could I see him on Tuesday? I agreed. Turns out that Tuesday was the day that a more junior physician was in the office and rather than Schnur I was pawned off on Dr. Carlos Levy. That was no big deal but the process was DISHONEST! I should have walked out of the office. I did not. So I saw Levy. Very nice - not terribly sharp. A few days later I needed a refill on Nexium prescribed by my retired physician. Over a week I requested it several times: twice on their web app and twice by email plus a phone call. Nothing. Finally when I was down to the last pill someone called me and informed me that the prescription could not be filled unless I saw one of their doctors - which I had done about ten days prior. This is a med that is available in lower strength over the counter. You would think that I was seeking morphine.4 It also turn out that Levy is the subject of several disciplinary actions and a number of public complaints. For a period of time he seems to have been the "prescription pad" for an Internet pill mill. None of the disciplinary actions are recent but I was denied the opportunity to make a choice. Bought the Groupon for the 15 B12 shots, and while I love the shots for the increased energy and fat burning, the office staff really needs to get their sh** together. Every time I go in for my shot I wait, and wait, for someone to see me (it should really take me 10 min to go in, get my shot, and leave). When I do get into the room, the girl asks me why I was waiting so long... Ummmm.... You tell me?!?! Not only that, there is a $2 fee for parking every time, which goes up to $5 if you're there longer. Each time I ask if they can validate my parking, since clearly I shouldn't be waiting that long, and they say no. To sum up, the doctors seem very nice and knowledgeable, but the office as a whole is incredibly unorganized since there are too many doctors and practices working out of there. read more

I purchased 15 b12 shots from elite health on Groupon. I saw Chris each time I went. What they don't mention is that you have to pay 5-7 dollars each time you go, therefore the shots come out to be 75 dollars more altogether. This makes a big difference considering all the shots together cost 75, so essentially that's double the price......That wasn't my problem with this place though. My problem is that they made me wait an hour EACH time for a measly 20 dollar (regularly) shot. I'm almost positive they do this on purpose so that you don't finish out your shots. After waiting the last time over an hour to get a 5 second b12 shot, I walked out and told them I would no longer wait. They didn't even have the decency to call me to ask if I wanted to reschedule or to apologize. Another lady in the waiting room mentioned she had been waiting an hour and a half. This is unacceptable, Chris isn't a doctor and an hour wait just to see someone for a b12 shot is ridiculous. This has happened now about 7 times so I am sure this was not just an off day. I went to EliteHealth to try Elite Fit Forever - I had heard that it was really effective for quick, lasting weight loss. Once I got there, they took great care of me. Dr. Tolentino made sure I was in good health and that the program was appropriate for me. Jessica did a great job of walking me through the program and making sure I understood it. And they even checked in on me periodically to make sure I was on track and that I was feeling ok. A month later, I'm down 14 lbs and feeling great! Headed by Dr Steven Schnur, and staffed with some of Miami's best doctors and caregivers, the practice is one that I highly recommend. It's almost like a mini hospital, with all kinds of diagnostic facilities right in their offices. No need to drive down the street for lab work, for example. Probably one of the worst health clinics/medical offices I've ever seen. I would equate Elite Health with Comcast - a nightmare that you can't get out of. Granted, the doctor is great - but the place and service is horrific. Every visit is an average of 2-3 hours, even for a regular check up. I think Elite likes to give the look and feel of a high end and customer oriented service but they are very disorganized and extremely incompetent at managing patients. I find it ironic how they advertise customer oriented and concierge service because they route most calls through a call center that deals with customer issues and never gets back to them. Its impossible to get hold of a doctor, to make an appointment, to get a prescription or to have anyone call you back or follow up with patient issues. Dr. Gardiner is great though, just not sure how long I can put up with Elite Health. read more

What is the point in going to a dr office to get an annual check if all it does is raise your blood pressure? Long waits (last two appointments I waited over an hour to even be called out of the lobby), sending invoices for balances yet they never arrived in the mail and when you ask for details of the outstanding balance they don't provide an invoice just a line item list of codes. Overall I find that the staff spends more time switching the blame to the patients then solving any issues. Not worth the cost or hassle. Even though dr Rios when you get to him is great. read more

Everyone is pretty nice and the place was convenient because they have two locations, one on the beach and the one in Pembroke Pines. I was coming here to receive lipotropic b12 shots. The place is ok, but I feel like the shots were pointless. They were supposed to give you energy and increase your metabolic rate, but it did nothing of the sort. I did like that before I took the shots they did one of those tests where they hook up some wires to check out your heart to make sure that you'll be ok taking the shots. I had a male nurse and that was a little awkward. read more

Great place to get a metabolism revving. So so for a PAC place. They r my PAC and I've wasted precious hours calling, shooting faxes in their blackhole system 'cause don't get them, and/or inquiring where referrals are at specialists to be seen. Two years of wasted time. I got a heart scan but still don't know how much plaque my ticker. So far no preventative services were provided, except a bone density scan. read more

After confirming a stress test several times a day for 5 days in advance of my appointment, the day prior to my appointment they called in the morning to reconfirm again, and a 4:45pm called and cancelled for the next day and rescheduled for 3 weeks later. That appointment was confirmed a week prior. On the day of the appointment when we arrived we were told the machine was no longer there but in a new location. I had my annual physical there which took 3 hours between waiting for the doctor, getting the insurance and billing info, and then listening to the upsells. They tried to sell me services for someone much older, and I didn't have any of the symptoms for that service. Then, I had to come back for a 2nd appointment for the rest of my physical. Seriously! Presumably so another appt could be charged? Lastly, their billing, office services, and appointments are handled in the Caribbean. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I went for a yearly physical and to set up a primary doctor. Before I even saw a doctor they did an EKG on me, then a Dr. Tracy Moran comes to the room, and we talk for about an hour, she is checking off boxes on a form the whole time, then she looks in my eyes, ears and throat and walks me out to pay. I had explained I had been to an urgent care just days before, so I really want to get set up with a primary doctor. She pushed me several times for an eye exam, yoga for stress, etc. As she was walking me to pay I realize that the entire practice is nothing but other services - I told her 3 times I only want the items that come with a yearly exam. The check out girl, begins by telling my the eye examine is not covered by my insurance and again I told her I only asked for the services and items that are covered by my insurance for a yearly exam. She said the lab work had a lot of things listed that are not covered and she would need to go have it written up manually. She left me there for 1/2 hour, I finally got up and left, while in the parking garage she called and asked if I was still there, I told her I had waited 1/2 hour and no one came back so I left, she said she would mail me the lab tests that have been requested. I received a lab request for 20 different tests, most of which I am sure is not covered by my insurance's yearly exam. I did not go to the lab. Last week I received an explanation of benefits from my insurance company, Elite Health Miami Beach claims to have provided me with $386.00 in "Wellness Services", $357.00 in Physicians Office Visit and $41.00 for "Diagnostic Lab". I called and asked for an itemized bill, keep in mind when you call Elite Health you are calling a call center NOT located in this country, and they are not able to assist in anyway, they will transfer you or tell you someone will call you back. I have been trying to speak to an actual employee of Elite Health Miami Beach since last week. Today after dialing 305-672-9989 and hitting option 5 I spoke to Maureen - she said this is her cell phone and she is not located in the office and I have to call the number back and hit option 3 - which is the call center located in another country, unable to assist me at all. I am requesting an itemized bill, as I do not believe I received the treatment my insurance has been charged. My next step is to contact an Insurance Fraud attorney may be they will have more luck speaking to an actual employee of Elite Health Miami Beach. read more

Visit went okay. Wait was okay. Around 45 min for a new patient. My doctor was great. Overall, my visit was going well until I got to the phlebotomist. First off, the room was a mess, patient names written on pieces of scratch paper, and tubes lying all over the place. What about being a little bit organized? What happened to HIPAA? Okay, they draw my blood and I'm told to wait outside about instructions regarding a take home test. I wait, and after meeting with one of the assistants, I ask him to double check the order because it's not something I spoke about with the doctor. Turns out, the test wasn't for me. At this point I'm told I'm good to go. I head to the receptionist to have my parking ticket validated, but I'm told they only validate Humana patients. Okay, no big deal I'll pay $5. As I'm about to jump on the highway I get a phone call from the phlebotomist asking me to return for another tube that he forgot to draw. Sigh. I make a quick u-turn and head back to the garage, walk to the clinic, I'm poked again, and the tube is filled. This time I asked them to pay for the parking. read more

Very gimmicky and quackish despite the luxe surroundings. Neither the focus or expertise of the practice appears to be patient health or actual health care, instead, it seems to be about projecting a glossy image at the expense of practicing medicine. I was seen by Dr. Tolentino who arrived significantly late to the appointment and spent more time trying to push new 'treatments' offered by the practice which are not backed by science, and in any case, unrelated to my health issues, than actually trying to learn about my medical issues and concerns. Dra Tolentino has been my primary care doctor physician for a few years and I couldn't be happier! She's always on top of everything!! I even have her Cell phone and any time I need her she returns my call right away. And the most important is that she really fixed my health problems! To be a great doctor takes more than intelligence, the right school or years of practice. To be great takes care, concern, time for your patients, keeping at the forefront of medicine and most of all an intuition when sometime is urgent even though there is no hard evidence. Dr. Steven Schnur, the cardiologist at Elite Health is that doctor. I can say he literally saved my husbands life! After seeing Dr. Gardiner (who by the way is also wonderful) for a routine check up she referred my husband, Fred, to Dr. Schnur because of an irregular EKG. Immediately after my husband had a full day of cardiac tests the office call him to see Dr. Schnur the next morning because some of the tests came back positive. He spent at least 40 minutes convincing my husband to go immediately to the hospital and undergo a catheterization for a suspected need for a stent. Because my husband is in his late 50's, athletic, fit and no other health problems he believed he could avoid all this by doing more lifestyle change. Dr. Schnur would not give in. He was taking extra time on the day before he was leaving for his vacation and not even scheduled to see patients because he KNEW something was wrong. Finally my husband realized Dr. Schnur was going above and beyond to advice him. He was in the procedure only 5 hours later but instead of getting any stents Dr. Vadillo (also awesome) discovered my husband needed emergency open heart bypass surgery. All 6 arteries were fully blocked. Why he had not had a heart attack we do not know. But what I do know is Dr. Schnur went the extra mile because of his experience and a gut feeling so that now my husband and I can watch many more beautiful sunsets with the deepest gratitude for a rare and special doctor. read more

While Dr. Rios there is good, it is impossible to get an appointment even when you are sick and the Dr told you to come in if you didn't get better. I was offered an appointment in a week or in a month. It is difficult to get anyone to return calls either or share any of your results with you without you coming in physically each time.
