On my first visit to this location was pleasant and the receptionist was attentive and personable. I came in to book my Ultrasound and they were able to accommodate me to an early appointment the next day. I was in and out for my ultrasound and had no issues. Today I returned for more testing prescribed by my doctor and they were able to see me right and got me right in for my xray. The Xray Tech even stayed past his shift to do my xray so I wouldnt have to come back. The receptionist are extremely friendly and provide great customer care. Coming from a medical background and being the Manager at a busy Veterinary Hospital I know how important customer care is. GREAT JOB ELITE IMAGING! read more

Elite Imaging as a corporation does not send out any financial matters to it's patients. So in the event that your insurance does not pay for all Eliet's services, the ballence is sent directly to "COLECTIONS". Your credit scoring is then affected for no reason. Worst of all their facilities are dirty and staff is unorganized and just dumb. Go there "IF" this is the last place within 300 miles and it is absoultely necessary. If not, go elcewhere. read more

After reading the reviews, I was horrified about my pending/urgent appointment. But in the interest of time, went anyway. So I showed up just before 1:00pm and was kindly greeted by both of the gals behind the front desk. I signed in, presented the usual photo ID, health insurance card, and prescription. I was asked to take a seat and someone would be with me shorty. True to her word, within 10 minute I was escorted to the room for my spinal x-rays. Everything about the procedure and what the technician was going to do was carefully explained to me and within minutes, I was finished, dressed and left. The facility was not exactly brand new, but it was clean and tidy, and had no foul odor. I know everyone has had bad days, am I'm truly grateful this was not the case when I had my appointment. I couldn't have had a more positive experience here. I made a 1:30 appointment online, and was having my ultrasound performed within 10 minutes of check-in. I was out of the building in 15 minutes total. Yes, there were a bunch of people in the waiting room, but having an appointment really paid off. Both receptionists and the ultrasound tech were friendly and knowledgeable. I have also had 6 mammograms here in the past, all with equally positive experiences. Have been a couple of times. The tech staff is nice enough. The problem is with the office. More than 3 months after having an x-ray taken, I was called on a Saturday by a collection agency. They said my account was going through formal collection unless payment was received right away. Not having records on hand, I asked them to resend an invoice. Once I had the invoice and could research it, the bill has already been paid and the check was cashed less than 3 weeks after I got the original invoice months earlier. Their incompetence was unbelievable. Ask your doctor to find another imaging service to work with. read more

So don't know exactly where to start but here goes... My husband had x-rays done on Monday and this facility has no idea clue whats going on. Our doctor called Elite Imaging on Wednesday requesting the X-rays and checking the status. He was told that they will be ready later that day. LIES!!! I called Elite Imaging Friday afternoon requesting the scans be sent asap and the receptionist is at first completely clueless. Very nice but clueless. She then tells me that they need my husband to come in and the reason they haven't sent the scans yet is because the technician needs additional scans. First of all, why wasn't the patient (my husband) or the doctor notified that he needs to come in for scans again. So if I hadn't called they would have just sat on there @$$e$. Second, they are only a scan facility, they were not suppose to check the scans or make any decisions about additional scans unless my doctor was notified. Which he wasn't! I personally think they misplaced his scans. Later the receptionist tells me, after hearing that i am furious with there facility, that the scans will be faxed asap and yet again its been 9 hours and nothing has been sent to my doctor. This is complete negligence on there part!! I completely question there credibility!! read more

I have been here a few times and whenever I think this place can not get any worse, it does!!! Even when you make an appointment the wait it over two hours. They always blame the equipment !!!! Upon arrival to schedule an appointment the young lady at the desk told me that they could take care of me I proceeded to ask her how long of a wait and she said about 20 to 30 minutes I said ok but reminded her that I had another appointment. I waited about 30 minutes and they called me in for my mammogram it was done very quickly. I had to wait for sonogram and a thyroid ultrasound I waited another hour and was never called I left for my next appointment . Very disappointed felt sorry for the front desk person she was very nice by the technicians either weren't fast enough or not enough of them. I will not recommend this place. Was the 2nd person in the waiting room with an appointment time of 10:30am. Started talking with the nice lady who was already waiting. Next thing I know it's 11:40am and the waiting room is packed! I don't understand why I wasn't seen when I was next with appt. It also took another 20 minutes to leave with my CD. Often when I go their machines are always down. Isn't this what they do? It's like going to to McDonalds and they are out of hamburgers! So frustrating! read more

Horrible facility. Vastly overcrowded waiting room, full of people on cell phones and whiny kids. I was kept waiting for 40 minutes just to check in after signing the sheet, then at least 30 minutes more to be seen. Clueless receptionist refused to take my previous mammo films, so I was chastised by the tech for not turning them in. Said tech also told me she almost went home, as she thought I was a no show. Billing department messed up my copay, than had their lawyer send a nasty letter when I did not pay, as I was unsure I as supposed to Phone calls not returned.. Very unprofessional. I had a Saturday 830 am appointment and was in out in 20 minutes. Friendly staff and professional.

This office makes the assumption that all patients have no other things to do but wait on them. Three appointments were ignored with wait times exceeding 1 to 2 hours. Reception felt this was appropriate. The office may well indeed offer excellent diagnostic capability; however business acumen is similar to a VA Hospital at the worst of times. The Business Manager should really consider alternative employment where time scheduling is not an issue. Truly a pathetic experience; and I was in a good mood! read more

Really bad experience, very poor and unprofessional front desk lady. Yesterday, I had a prescription referral to give to her from the pediatrician dr. Of my daughter, She says she can't understand what is written in the prescription, she hand it back to me and told me she needs a better prescription, I had to go back to the doctor and ask her to fill out a new prescription and they asked me, why you had to come all the way to here losing your time instead, they could just have just simply called to ask us directly. They wrote something in the same prescription and had to bring it back to signet. When I came back I told the front desk lady and told her, you were supposed to call them if you can't read the prescription, she laughed in my face jaja! I'm not going to do that, I'm alone in the front and I am not going to do it. I felt really frustrated with that kind of customer care. read more

I had an MRI at Elite Imaging on October 2nd 2015. They overcharged me for the copayment by $59.39, and I have spent the past 3 months trying to get it back. I have called at least 8 times and spoken to Shannon, Tiffany, Anna, Alison and Tanya. I have left 3 messages for a supervisor named Kim Wilson who has not returned my calls. Every month one of them promises me the refund will be on my credit card statement next month, and each month it is not. Their phone system is a nightmare, with half-hour wait times and garbled menus and messages. The whole operation seems to be designed to convince patients entitled to refunds to just give up and go away. If anyone at Elite Imaging is reading this, I will not go away - I will keep calling until I get my refund. If your doctor is sending you for an MRI in South Florida, make sure it's not at Elite Imaging. read more

Elite- now Akumin- is a criminal organization. Spent 4.5 hours waiting & testing AFTER they refused service unless I paid in full before imaging. I needed MRI & ultrasound so paid them and they overcharged $1161.00. Insurance company advised this never should happen & imaging center should process the insurance claim, then send the bill for balance due. It's been 9 weeks of arguing with Elite/Akumin who now has a payment processing company that is holding my money & won't refund. Whoever cooks their books should figure thus out when you overcharge people, get paid by a patient AND by an insurance company (with specifying prices agreed upon for contactual obligation) but refuse to return the money IT IS FRAUD. In addition, the place is filthy & I am now going to different imaging center for follow up. This is ridiculous - don't go if you don't have toand find a different imaging service to save your wallet!! read more

Administrative office is terrible. They took my Medicare info, did my X-Ray on October 6 and I never heard a word or bill from them. In August of the following year, my credit monitoring company reported a negative report on my credit for $135. In all that time, they never sent a bill, never called me, and at some time , turned me over to a collection agency in Wisconsin (I live in Florida). They insist that they sent bills which I never received, they insist that Medicare refused the claim while Medicare has no record of ever receiving a claim, and they gave the collection agency an incomplete address so I never received any bills or notices from them. This is in spite of the fact that I had X-rays there 3 times before from the same doctor which were all paid by insurance but no one at Elite had enough common sense to call me or my doctor to find out the problem. As a result, my credit score went from 840 to 696 and "I am guilty until I prove innocence" because I have to believe them and they don't have to believe me! Also, the office is dirty and crowded as well as having the wrong company name on the building. This is for their Ft. Lauderdale office on Federal Highway. read more

It is terrible place. I waited 40min to check in. way pass my appointment time. There was only 5 pations. She just forgot me. Finally I checked in, I chenged cloth and wait. The other pation was waiting 1 hr also. And they took pation behind us. I asked how long to wait. The worker yelled "we are working all day long. Each pation takes certain time." The worker yelled me. I visited many difference offices. This place is worst. I was treated very low. I never experienced like this much humiliation. read more

PJM You are so right! The same thing just happened to me. Out of the blue, from service rendered at the beginning of last year, they've send me a balance due through a collection agency. Trying to contact them is useless as they have an automatic recording asking to leave your name and tel# for our convenience. Of course they never call back. I left the message 4 or 5 times. I verified the charge with my insurance, but WHY DIDN'T THEY SEND ME A BILL! never going back there. My credit is very important and I will not put it at risk with a company that has no ethics. I paid what they asked the day of the service and then they decided that it's just a few dollars more. I guess it's not enough of a debt to send a bill but it's enough to send to collection and jeopardize my credit and embarrass me with an idiot collector. read more

To start with it was a long wait. They had me pay up front for the scan. Then asked if was to be contrast or not. They had the paper work. I thought it was with an injection. So they said they would get back to me. Then they I had to drink something for the contrast. Well come to find out they did the wrong test and I had to return for the correct test. Now my insurance negotiated with them for $18.00 less then what I paid up front. Thinking we would get a credit. But we never did and didn't pursue it since it wasn't worth it. Well eight months later we received a letter from their collection agency for payment past due after paying up front. So we sent all documentation to clear up the problem. So we decided to see if they would credit us the $!8.00. After many numerous phone calls and threats left on voice mails. We never received any responses. So we sent a certified letter explaining the whole story threatening to even go to the board of health. No response. I highly recommend to never use their services. read more
