However, last year (2024-2025 school year) things changed. I first noticed there were some teachers that left from the previous school year, and some other "minor" changes. Most importantly, the teachers my child had were amazing for Kindergarten! There were truly awesome from the beginning to end. Unfortunately, the administrative staff did not provide the students with a Kindergarten picture and a class picture like the year prior. I personally feel those are important memories for the families and the children. Then as the school year went on, I noticed there were less activities than the prior year. Once the school year ended, MORE great and awesome teachers left the school!!!! I have prior experience working in education and from what I know and have seen, when there is so much teacher turnover year after year, it is because more than likely the administrative staff is not taking care of the teachers. This school has had a tremendous reputation for many many years, however it seems like things are on the decline and yet tuition is going up.

Now having our son attend for some time, I can confirm that our hunch was correct and I'm so happy that we chose to send him to steppingstones. All the staff, teachers, and the front office have been great. You really can tell a lot when more than just your teacher knows your child's name. I feel like they do a great job keeping the facility secure. My son often eats double triple portions of the food as well. The teachers have been amazing and very patient. I know it's not easy dealing with so many young kids but My son always says he has so much fun and the teachers are really good at sending updated pictures throughout the day without ever missing so I really feel like I know what my student is doing. He's made some great friends. They also do really great events for example today was snow day and my son was so so excited. You could see all the excitement on all the kids faces . They also do a fall fair, seasonal performances, as well as farmers markets so that kids can learn how to shop , overall just a lot of thoughtfulness. The elementary curriculum is rigorous and since they are accredited you can rest assured the kids are getting a quality education. I want to start by saying how much I loved Ms. Rolon and Mrs. Calabrese. They were always so welcoming and genuine. My daughter started in July, feeling confident this was the right fit. However, that quickly changed. My daughter's teacher (who I will leave unnamed) right off the bat, my husband and I felt didn't like my daughter, and my daughter felt it. High-strung energy and frantic energy are not good for young ones who are nervous to start. Not welcoming, and immediately made her out to be a "BAD" kid. I think it ruined her first preschool experience. Backing up, my daughter was born 4 months before the pandemic broke out and had never been in daycare or school, which was explained when we enrolled her. I was very transparent about everything when touring and signing up. Mrs. Calabrese, who gave us a tour, and who sold us. She was absolutely wonderful & genuine. Mrs. Calabrese left shortly after my daughter started so we relied on some of the staff and teachers. Which didn't provide us with much comfort. I strongly believe if your child doesn't fit the mold of their concept of a perfect child, there will be red flags that they will not welcome you back, soon. Not every child is the same and they did nothing to help with my daughter's social integration troubles. Which by the way, is completely normal and even more so since she is a Covid baby. More and more I researched and spoke to other preschools, Covid babies are showing delays since the world stopped for 2 years. I am not making excuses for my child and will be the first one to admit she is strong-willed and determined. Those attributes are wonderful if channeled the right way. This school is not for your child if your child shows any type of out-of-the-mold behavior. The classroom was absolute chaos, my daughter's diaper was always dirty picking her up, the wrong clothing was sent home often, and never once did I hear anything positive about my daughter doing well. Furthermore, we got a week's notice that she wasn't welcome back the next month, we were told we should keep an eye on some behaviors & get her assessed as she might have something wrong with her. Since then I have gotten 2nd, 3rd, and 4th opinions from qualified individuals, and think this is ridiculous & untrue. You have no idea, how horrible this felt, and I hope was a true intention on their end but I doubt it. What really bothered me was on her last day, we walked in to put her lunch bag away in her cubby and her name was already taken down from her cubby. It broke my heart because it proved how much they wanted her gone. Luckily, my daughter isn't old enough to understand it, but if she were older that would have been really awful to explain. Now, we have found a fabulous preschool (with the same ratio btw), and my daughter has made a full 360. The teacher is patient, loves kids, and really wants them to do well. Every child is DIFFERENT! Do better Heights Christian. Run this as a school, not a business!

My son is in HONORs PROGRAM so being from private school to public school, and as a busy parent , I ask help from this center to guide my son in his academic however the gap between what is promised and what is delivered is significant. If your child needs consistent, reliable academic support, this is not the place. You may end up spending a substantial amount of money with little to no meaningful results.

After school program (ASP) is for grades K-6 which is AWESOME! Reduced/Free breakfast and lunch are available. Uniforms are mandatory Richman Shirts & Sweaters. Polo Shirts, dress shirts, blouses and shirts with collars in Red, Blue, or White. Shirts must be tucked in. Navy blue pants, shorts, skirts, skorts or jumpers are permitted. Blue Jeans are also allowed. Any Sweater is acceptable and Shoes must be closed toe. School hrs are M, T, Th, F 8-2:24 and W 8-12:30

Elite is known to be a extreme form of a cram school similar to that of those in Asia, to instruct children to prepare for the SAT/ACT. It's a common thing everyday to walk into this place, you'll see portraits of very few kids smiling with a list of them getting incredibly high scores, in which also show which school they are attending now, and slogans for success and information about ivy league schools. I get it, this is to show that they've had success educating kids and they're mighty fine proud of that, but let's be honest, it is a little demeaning for other students struggling to make ends meet. In fact, I've overheard a parent teacher conference with the headmaster of this place (I will not say the name for confidentiality), and believe me, I've never heard so much bad mouthing about the student behind his back, such as how he/she is going to fail school and is never going to go to a "good" (which in their level is a Ivy League) school and he'll end up getting a job after high school. In addition, when I had my child go here, the workload was just unbelievable; I don't know whose idea it was, but he/she practically made my child work 5-6 hours on SAT prep material instead of the same school work that takes my child to college (also, if he failed to bring it, he would be subjected to detention/push ups/"demerits"). What is really disturbing is that there are also video cameras in each room and monitored by the staff; I don't care if it there was a stabbing long time ago, it's pretty invasive. Speaking of colleges, these people also look down on students who have no intentions of attending either UC or Ivy Leagues, regardless of the reason. With all due respect, what I really think these people can try to improve on is their perception on reality and realize these students are just kids who are/aren't suited for the tremendous work load provided; does stuffing millions of questions and answers really help? Because I guarantee not every kid they see holds the 300 IQ they are dreaming about. Despite my tone, don't boycott or spit at the headmaster, because even I know these people are trying very hard to trickle one child to get into yale and princeton and it's really difficult to handle a bunch of kids (for the record, I was a tutor for a after school program and THAT was no easy job), especially for the headmaster, who has to deal with few troublemakers; but they should at least give a damn about those who won't make it to the big leagues or have troubles instead of berating them and casting them on the side so the vultures can pick them. Bottom line? Parents, send your children here if you truly fear that your children may not become the next CEO, doctor, lawyer, etc., because this place is the 911 for that emergency; I will not lie that these people will literally work their fingers to the bone to stuff gargantuan amounts of assignments to show to you they really mean business, and that they are probably even better than any SAT/ACT prep schools. However, be cautious, because if you know your child is already struggling with the workload he/she has from school, then plan on your own discretion.

THE OTHER PRESCHOOL My wife had been warning me that we had…read moreto take our kids to preschool but I didn't think much about it until we visited a different one and I freaked out. The fences weren't very high and the adults didn't seem very attentive. As we pulled up to the parking lot , a bunch of little boys came to the fence and looked at us, while the adults were back there under the shade. Anyone could come and just snatch a kid away. And the gates weren't even locked so a kid could just open the gate and walk away. THE SEARCH So I freaked out and started researching and then visiting. I visited about 20 preschools in one week. And my favorite one was Jesus Hand. It wasn't too big which I liked. Also everything was so secure. They had to enter a password to get in and there was always someone at the front desk right where people walked in. They had like 20 security cameras and it can be viewed on the Internet (though there is major lag so it's not very useful for online viewing). The playground is totally padded with the foam thingie. And the entire playground area is really well shaded. My kids liked going there and the teachers seemed nice. Eventually we pulled them out b/c they kept on getting sick. I guess it's normal that kids get sick a lot when they first start preschool, but with another newborn at home, we couldn't afford having all these germs brought home. So we got a live in nanny. But I have to say that in terms of facility, you can't beat this preschool. Everything is secure and well set up- yet it didn't feel like a prison either. I didn't like the feeling I got when I went to Tutor Time or Kinder Care (and those places were way overpriced). Jesus Hand had their own cook and had some asian food (like korean bbq which the kids liked). The price was like 750 a kid but included all the meals. And they were very accomodating. They didn't open till like 8 or 7:30, but b/c we needed to drop them off ealier, they came 20 minutes earlier just for my two kids. Overall, it was a great experience and I loved the staff there.
