There isn't a shortage of nail salons. What makes a salon stand out is their service, consistency, and reasonable pricing. I've been coming to Elite Nails for over 5 years for these exact reasons. It's located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking in a lot. The salon is small and a little outdated. It could use a paint job and new flooring, but at least it's not unsanitary. There's around 6 pedicure chairs and 6 manicure stations. If you want a luxurious ambiance, this isn't the place for you. Their prices are very fair and lower compared to other salons in the area. I always get a gel manicure ($35) and regular pedicure ($23). There's plenty of nail colors and brands to choose from. Just a heads up, they don't do acrylics or very intricate designs. I always call to make my appointment and the owner, Joanna, is very accommodating. She's squeezed me in last minute with no issues. I don't recommend coming as a walk-in because they are usually booked. The best nail techs are Joanna and John. I usually go to John. He's gentle, has good attention to detail, and works efficiently. He doesn't rush and ensures I'm happy with my nail length, shape, and color. As a client of over 5 years, I've had a mix of good and bad experiences with other techs. Some are more experienced than others. My biggest pet peeve is getting my cuticles cut, so once that happens... I lose my trust! I'm not as picky with my toes, so I'm happy with any tech doing my pedicure. The ladies are really sweet and make my feet look ~pretty~ The quality of their nail products are great. My polish lasts for a looooooong time and doesn't chip or lift. They even have a rewards system. Gain points for every $ spent and you get free services. Got a pedicure on Feb 3, 2026. It is now 2/9 and the polish peeled off 3 toenails. On vacation and it looks ridiculous. Their polish is weak and doesn't last. Gel manicures don't last two weeks. The operators are aggressive when filing and have weakened the sides of my nails. Go anywhere else. They aren't very friendly and speak ill of their clients. Thank goodness nail salons are a dime a dozen. read more

Had some old UV gel left on my nails that they took off for me and did a new set for $60 which to me is incredibly reasonable. The entire process took about 45 minutes, and our technician (a Hispanic woman) was sweet, precise and did a great job with the nail art we requested. The lady who did my mani was on her phone she had it positioned as if she could see it while doing my nails like you really think I can' t see you??? My girlfriend and I are always on the hunt for a good, quick, clean (and cheap if possible) nail joint. Yelp found me three places in the area, all of which had one 5 star review. Picked this one kind of randomly. Wish I hadn't. First, I called and made an appt for the two of us at 5pm on a Friday. We got there a minute early and weren't greeted at all. Ok no big deal, they're slammed, that's a good thing isn't it? Well not when it means that the appointment you made apparently is the same as NOT making one as you sit there for 15 minutes. (Enter Seinfeld reference with 'taking' vs 'holding' the reservation). Annoying, but not the end of the world. However as I was sitting there I noticed a big potted plant that was broken and dirt and mulch was just pouring out of it all over the floor in the middle of the place. Um, I'm assuming this must have JUST broke, right? Otherwise someone would have cleaned it by now right? This made me start noticing other areas of general grime and filth around. At this point we were just about ready to bail. The final straw was when some woman came in, spoke abruptly and kind of bitchily to one of the employees who directed her to a pedicure chair. Did we for real just get line jumped?? I stood up, called one of the other potential places around the corner, they said to come right over and we left without them even trying to stop us. I guess business must be good to let new customers just walk out. But my guess is it's because of the busy strip mall location. Because clearly the customer service and cleanliness blow. Maybe they give a good pedicure but I'll never know. Bergen county is crawlin with nail salons, the search will go on. read more

I am extremely disappointed in this place. My sister and I came in for a mani/pedi each. We requested to have a manicure first, which seemed to annoy the ladies that were working on our nails. The lady asked me if I wanted to have my cuticles done. I was puzzled when she asked because I would think getting your cuticles done is automatically part of the manicure service. Fast forward to the pedicure service, the water was cold and she didn't turn on the spa part of the tub. When I asked her to turn it on, she shook her head at me and said later. She looked at her friend, who was working on my sister and they both laughed. I didn't find it amusing in the slightest. The worst part about this was that both of our nails chipped on the same day! In addition, our cuticles are bloody and cut easily. For the money I paid, I could have done a better job at home. I will NEVER visit this establishment again. read more
