It was very easy to make an appointment - you can either DM on instagram or call. I came in with an appointment for a gel-x manicure and regular pedicure. Lucy did an amazing job with my nails! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she perfected it! If you want a design, it's an extra $10 and if you want airbrush (what I got), it's an extra $15. I wish I was told about the extra charge ahead of time, but I still loved how it turned out so I didn't mind too much. The pedicure was pretty standard. I will be back! Thank you! read more

She spent 30 min on my gel manicure and did a lovely job. My gel manicure lasted 3 weeks, which for me is a really long time. My first time in this establishment: The staff were so attentive. Yes, I had to make an appointment but we'll worth the service. I was tired of paying ridiculous amount of money for another Nail Salon to do a rushed job & hassling for more sales/tip. I needed a UV fillin and a pedicure. I have been coming here for a few months now for gel manicures. When I come in, I am greeted with smiles and a hello. I have gone to other salons religiously and get treated like a stranger. It's so nice to be welcomed! Onto the manicure! Top Coat has a very nice selection of gel polishes to choose from. I had even asked if they had a specific color and a few weeks later, they got it and remembered that I was asking about it. I hate to give this place 3 stars. This is based on actual lack of skill. I only do gel manicure and recently tried some tips with a gel manicure almond shaped. Each one of my nails are shaped differently (filed horribly) and each have a different amount of gel that makes them look worse (uneven). My nails look really bad and it's the next day. On another occasion it was just gel and the actual manicure part was lacking (cuticle/ skin cleaning sucked) My pedicure was great though. Everyone that works here is very friendly, the place is clean, good atmosphere. When booking, tell them exactly what you want done, if you go in and tell them something different or add something, they might not accommodate due to time constraints. read more

Not a good nail salon. I went there for gel mani and eyebrow wax. This was my 1st and last time setting foot in that place. First, they had social hour while I'm just sitting there at the booth waiting for them to finish talking about their upcoming plans and get started. Why can't they work and talk at the same time? That's not why they got 1 star They didn't cure the gel properly and it started lifting as soon as I got home and washed my hands. I've been getting gel manicures forever so I know they're not supposed to lift the same day. My eyebrows were uneven. Just really bad and unprofessional. And as a side note, they don't give back massages while your nails are drying like other local places do. I had to go to pinkie nails up the street for them to fix my eyebrows. I will never return to top coat nails. They are expensive and cannot do a good job on what they specialize in. read more

This nail salon was an occasional go-to for pedicures until this terrible situation occurred. The last time I visited this nail salon was on August 20th to get a regular pedicure. The service was great just like the other times before I visited. Fast forward to two weeks later, I get confronted by the owner of the shop (I believe her name is Griselda. She had long black hair and wears glasses)while I was walking somewhere. She confronted me saying that I committed fraud in her nail salon. She told me that I came to the nail salon a couple days ago and spent $80 on a service and that it was for prom. She said that I paid with a credit card and that she received some notification from whatever bank they use to process transactions, that the charge was disputed. Her story did not make sense to me, as prom season was May/June and I'm not even in high school. I explained to her that I was not at the salon the day she claimed. I also explained to her when I did come to the salon, i was charged $22 for a pedicure and paid in cash. She then was asking me for my phone number and a picture of my identification. I told her that I am not giving her that information because that was not me and that she has me mistaken for another person. Then she switched her story to say that I paid with a gift card and disputed it. I told her again, it was not me and then I started to walk away. Then she said that she knew where I lived. I personally took that has a threat and harassment, especially since I did not do what she was accusing me of. The next day, I decided to go to her establishment with my father and step mother to resolve this issue. As I walked in, i asked her again, what exactly am I being accused for because I was not at the nail salon the day she claimed, as I was out of the state. Then she pulled out a folder with what I assumed was the fraud report from her bank about the transaction. Her and her coworker claimed I came in with a friend and that we spent $160 total. Then she said that my card declined and that i called someone over the phone to give her a card number. I asked her if she had cameras in her establishment to see that it was not me who did this. She told me she did not have cameras. Then she continued to go back and forth with me. In the mist of all of this going on, the coworker who was speaking up earlier to defend her, was speaking about me in an offensive nature, in spanish to a client, as I understood everything that was said. I told her to call the cops because this situation is absurd. If I were to do such a thing, I would not do that in an area that I live, nor would I have stopped to talk to her the day before and then come in to the shop to solve the problem. If I was guilty, i would have avoided the situation at all costs. So she went ahead and called the cops and the cops showed up 5 minutes later. I talked to both officers about what happened the day prior and what just happened in the salon. Apparently, from what the cops told me, the fraud report was from July 1. So it was a completely different date than what she told me. She told me I came in to the salon "the other day". It is September. The cops told me it was a civil issue and she would have to have proof that i was in the salon that day to follow through with whatever it is. I have proof that I wasn't even in NJ that day, as I was at work from 9:30am-8pm in NYC (i left for work before the nail salon opened and got off work after they closed). I am leaving this review because I am utterly disgusted with how this situation was handled on the manager's part, as she should of dealt with this situation the correct way versus confronting me in a public setting. Also, the fact that they are lying about me is ridiculous, as I was literally in the shop August 20th and got my feet done. She was the person who actually did my pedicure, so it's like if this situation was from July 1 and you believed it was me, why not confront me right then and there when i got my feet done? I am never coming back to this nail salon again obviously, but I had to share my experience. read more

This nail salon is by far the best I've been to in all of NJ! Lily has the hands of a Goddess. Every mani and pedi is boosted by her massages and delicate nature. All the techs here have extreme attention to detail. They are friendly and welcoming! My favorite nail salon ever! Ive been going to Lida for over 3 years now i believe or maybe even more and I absolutely love her work! She is truly amazing!
