I am so sad that my two older sons did not have the opportunity to be patients with this practice. But I am SO grateful that my youngest son, who not only has sensory issues but who struggles tremendously with challenging, new experiences let alone ones that are not always very comfortable or pleasant, has had Katie and her staff for his braces journey. The waiting area is very interactive and they offer a place for the kids to check in and then play video games while they wait. Dr. Simi is very personable and he has an easy going personality. We went to Dr. Chiu for a second opinion and she was able to realign the teeth without any extraction and made the 18 month process easy. The staff was friendly and attentive and there was never a long wait even when the waiting room was almost full. We were able to find reasonable appointment times and the West Roxbury office was in an easy to get to location. The staff was flexible with payment schedule so we didn't have to pay a huge amount upfront while I waited for my FSA to replenish.

I said that if he taught me, I did not learn and I needed more information. He then proceeded to school me on going to specialists as though I did not know. It was incredibly ridiculous. When I said that I was leaving and that as a black woman, this always happens. People think that you are not smart enough to understand. He said, oh, if you are going to say things like that, I cannot work with you! I said that was perfectly fine by me. First appt took about 15 mins to get my upper teeth scanned in to then send the image to the lab. That process took about 3 weeks or so. Second appt, met with Dr Jodi Parker, to fit the retainer and make any adjustments needed. She was so patient and careful as I told her some part of the retainer was poking at my gum. She also told me to go home and try it out, and sincerely meant it when she told me that I could come back to adjust anything if it doesn't feel good. I felt really comfortable with Dr Parker and her assistants. Also the receptionist was very nice. I was able to make a quick third appt after I went home and tried it out for that night. I had to go back to make some adjustments. She shaved off some pieces so that the retainer didn't press against my upper front teeth. My retainer helped my upper front teeth to be aligned much better than my old ones. The fit was perfect! Great experience! Would definitely come back even though it's a hour drive to get there. I have worn my retainer since and with slight shifting from my retainer wearing out I came back for advice on how to fix it. They priced me at almost double what I paid the first time for a quarter of the treatment time. Staff is still super nice however definitely disappointed they're asking that much for barely noticeable shifting.
