Many years we have been receiving medical billing statement mailed to us with amount we don't think is correct, after making phone calls to their billing office, we were told it's just an estimate cost not final charge, so I was always confused why they have to send the statement to us at the first place, not only it's time consuming but also caused confusion to patients. Recently I have to order night guard , I checked with the dentist and was told it will be cover up to 75 % percent by insurance. Upon receiving the product, I went to make the payment at front end receptionist without thorough checking I was asked to pay a lot higher than what I was told. I asked the receptionist to double check, within few seconds she confirmed I was right and charge me less, I was shocked and confused about the process of charging patients there, shouldn't more cautious be exercised like my case? what if I forget or didn't remind her to double checked then I will end up overpaying. So thinking I should get this message across and hopefully see the improvement in this area from now on! Thanks for taking time to read this long review!

We were caught off guard, as traumatic, and were given a hasty explanation when it occurred. The follow-up communication was poor and at times argumentative. We switched providers for all our children after this experience and are still dealing with the aftermath. This was not the first negative experience with this practice. We should have switched earlier. Dr Morgan also told us on two occasions "that this has never happened in my career". Read the reviews here on google and on Yelp, and you will see a clear pattern of behavior. We rarely give reviews or complain, but we felt compelled after our experience.

Additional dental expenses are never really good news for parents (and my son has a developmental disability, which means any kind of medical visit is potentially problematic for him). We found EVERYONE at Lakewood Park to be very sensitive to my son's needs, ALWAYS welcoming and extremely professional, and the cost of care to be very reasonable. My son actually enjoyed visits to the office (there are video games for kids in the waiting area, which was a treat.!) and the wonderful staff was always so nice to him that I think he considered it a visit to see some friends who "just so happened" to also be interested in his teeth! Best of all, the treatment was EFFECTIVE so we haven't needed to go back for some time, but you can bet that when my son requires further orthodontic care in the not-so-distant future, we wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

I called got an apt early in month which was fine. The Dentist said just needed to bring paperwork with me day of apt. I then get an email saying my apt was on monday Feb 23 I told then that apt was Tues 24. Then got a text saying apt was at 12pm on 24th the Dentist told me I would not get tiĺl day before the apt. Then I get an email saying they need the information from the Doctor office. Thank God I made an early apt because Dentist himself told me not to do tell middle of month and know saying if dont have paperwork tomorrow they will cancel my daughter apt. This offer so bad. Although the clinical care was excellent, a long billing dispute began in July 2024 when my insurer identified a processing error that billed my services as out-of-network rather than in-network. For seven months, Wellesley Dental repeatedly reported they were waiting for insurance paperwork to process my refund. My insurer sent seven letters and one fax to Wellesley Dental; I made six calls, sent seven emails, mailed a detailed four page letter, and participated in one three way call to resolve the issue. Despite our efforts, my refund was never processed. In February 2025, I escalated the matter to the state attorney general and local media. NBC 10 decided to investigate my dispute and contacted 42 North Dental (the parent company), and a refund check for $373.50 was issued on 2/27/2025. A few days after receiving the refund, a call with the regional manager provided a full apology and an explanation: mailed insurance correspondence went to an unstaffed payments PO box; staff failed to take ownership; and operational challenges across multiple locations caused systemic failures. The regional manager said the case was escalated and would be used for staff training. The story aired on NBC 10 Boston on March 19, 2025; search "NBC 10 Charged out-of-network rates for an in-network provider." Although I received my refund, this was a stressful and avoidable ordeal.
