The price was reasonable especially as it would've been 3 months for me to see a normal doctor. Definitely happy to pay for the expedited care! About a year later the stye had returned and the Doc was skilled and quick enough to get the stye completely out of my eyelid in less than 15 minutes. A Doctor Who Actually Listens -- and Goes Above and Beyond I…read morearrived at Dr. Aminpour's office in April under incredibly frustrating circumstances -- Regal Medical Group had referred me to him but failed to send the authorization. I was ready to be turned away after months of fighting the insurance system just to get to this appointment. Dr. Aminpour heard me crying in the waiting room and personally intervened. He instructed his staff to spend three hours on the phone with Regal to secure same-day authorization. He refused to let me leave without being seen. That kind of humanity is rare in medicine today. He didn't have to do that. He chose to. When I finally sat down with him he was thorough, clear, and direct. He explained his clinical reasoning, answered every question I had, and provided a signed surgical clearance letter that helped move my long-delayed surgery forward. In a healthcare system where Black women are routinely dismissed and ignored, Dr. Aminpour treated me like a person whose concerns mattered. He is the standard every physician should be held to. I scheduled the evaluation/initial appointment for x-rays and requested a deep cleaning, a filling replacement, and repair of a chip tooth. I do give one star for the appointment time accommodations. When I walked in the first thing I noticed were a bunch of dead plants in the waiting area at the front desk. The young lady behind the desk was polite and professional. Once I got into a room for X-Rays, I met with the hygienist. I can't remember her name. She was gentle with the X-Rays but it took a really long time to get the X-Rays done. She mentioned she only had one year experience. The longer I was there, the more unprofessional her communication was. I have had gum disease for many years. She proceeded to tell me I could have gotten it from kissing someone. She also stated that I need to make better life choices. This is all while my mouth is open for a polish cleaning. I found her conduct and assumptions extremely unprofessional. As a woman in my mid 40's I found her conversation unacceptable. Then the Dentist came in, Dr. Nicole Nalbandian. She introduced herself and immediately asked me what I do for a living. (From my experience that is a red flag. It's intentional to see how much more money they can get outside of the covered insurance.) She then stood behind me looking at my x-rays without discussing her observations. I never saw the x-rays because there were on the screen behind me. That was Red flag number 2. Next, she says..."looks like we have have a lot of work to do". But wasn't specific. I found her mannerism very arrogant and unprofessional. Lastly, I scheduled 3 appointments 3 weeks of each other. 2 for the deep cleanings and one for the crown where my cracked tooth was. I was contacted 6-8 times to confirm these appointments by phone, text and email. This was the final straw of red flag 3. The incompetence of scheduling the appointments is where I cancelled everything and ended up going elsewhere. The inability to communicate like a professional and the inability to schedule 3 simple appointments is where they lost me. I think these ladies need to do better. Again, I do not recommend this company. There are at least a hundred or more dentist in the city of Burbank. I recommend seeking a more experienced and professional business.

She quoted me a price and told me to come in that same day and told me they were available to fix it for me if I came within the next 30 minutes. When I get there, everything seemed fine until I sat in the chair and started getting helped by Dentist Chalian. She seemed annoyed that I was asking for the price because they wanted to add on x-rays and I was paying out of pocket. I told her I was fine with the price and I don't think she heard me and she gives me a smart remark saying that I don't have to get it done. I told her I approved of the charge. Her assistant even looked confused when I asked what was going on because she walked away. The dentist then comes back and says she can't fix my tooth that day because she already has someone else that she's helping. I wasn't understanding why I was told to come in if she wasn't available. She sent me on my way and then the receptionist told me how much they were going to charge which was $500-$600 more than I was originally told. She then started telling me that the quote she gave me was just for the appointment. My aunt is a dental assistant in Beverly Hills and the only reason I didn't go there was because they weren't available until the end of the week. I checked in with her to see if they were quoting me correctly and she quickly responded that they were ripping me off. The receptionist then started changing whatever quote she gave me and told me I was getting a discount. I felt like I was being taken advantage of. On the way home I get a call from their new dentist Dr Nalbandian who quickly apologized and said she would be helping me the next day. She confirmed pricing and apologized which I honestly appreciated. Apparently she is new at this practice and I wanted to put my fear and doubt aside. When I went in the next day she fixed the tooth but when I got into the car I noticed in the natural light that my tooth was still slanted from where it chipped. I immediately went back in and she fixed it. The next day I was eating pizza in the office and the edge of the tooth chipped. It had only been a day! I once again had to go back in to get that fixed. When I went in I got the "what were you eating?" question as if it was my fault like I had been eating something hard. I didn't take offense because I figured she's doing her job and needs to know but it's frustrating. After fixing what chipped I told her that my tooth felt like bumpy clay/chalk and she said it would go away in a few days because the binding had just been completed. Fast forward to weeks later and it hasn't gone away. The tooth was just poorly bonded and it's bumpy. Check out the photos. You can see how the tooth was not left properly polished Dr Nalbandian is a very sweet woman and I do see that she cares for her patients. I know that she tried her hardest and I truly appreciate that but at the end of the day this is my mouth and teeth and it just wasn't done right. Every time I eat I think I have food stuck in my teeth because of how uneven the tooth feel's.

I made an appointment with Dr. Hershcovitch but I did not see Dr. Hershcovitch. I don't know who I…read moresaw, she only gave her first name. Was it a PA? A nurse? Someone in scrubs who wandered in? I have no idea. Not seeing the doctor as a new patient is really concerning, but what is more concerning was that she did a CT scan and then recommended 3 different procedures on my sinuses and Eustachian tubes and had me book the surgery immediately. They were very pushy about doing these procedures that would fix my breathing. I came in for vertigo. I asked if she was sure my breathing was the cause of the vertigo (I've never had breathing issues nor allergies) and she and was overly and falsely confident in her answer. I went to another ENT for a second opinion and this doctor (an actual MD) said that everything was a misdiagnosis, wouldn't help my vertigo. If I had proceeded, god knows how much this would cost both financially and in terms of my health.
