Wish I would've come here for the reviews before choosing to visit this office. I have BlueCross/Shield of TN for insurance. I found their office through the bcbst.com website! I EVEN did the due diligence to call FIRST and I ASKED if they accept BC/BS insurance. They said YES. They THEN allowed me to come in for a WELL VISIT, literally a visit for a CHECK UP! Took my blood pressure, height/weight, asked a bunch of medical history questions etc. Then, as I'm leaving they demand $100 from me for a "co-pay" (my ins policy doesn't HAVE any co-pays), then a week later I get a bill via email for ANOTHER $197!! Almost $300 out of pocket because BC/BS says they're "out of network" when I FOUND "Elite" Primary Care ON THEIR WEBSITE! This is fraud. This is bait-and-switch BS. They're ripping people off. I've put in calls to file complaints w/ the Office of Civil Rights at the U.S. HHS Office, and I've got a call into the TN State Insurance Commissioner's Office as well. This predatory crap has GOT to stop. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

As a medical professional myself, I'm very happy to have Dr Pike as my family physician. He is an excellent listener and very compassionate and super attentive. I love the fact he is a good Christian and he prays with patients at the end of appointments. Dr. pike is phenomenal and he has the BEST bedside manner! I have been with this doctor's office since 2015. The last visit my son had there the NP was seeing him for 1 issue and got sick a few days before his appointment and she told him that she didn't have time for this. I'm extremely disappointed with the way this was handled. Recently they have no time for the patience and all they do is hurry you through. They charge a 25.00 dollar cancellation fee if you don't cancel with in 24 hours. We cancelled an appointment and my husband ended up taking the appointment they still charged the 25.00 dollars and my husband's co-pay. I contacted the office through their portal never heard anything from them instead now they have made it so I can't get back into the portal Does this sound like a good practice?? read more

Great place for family! I've been going here for 3-4 yrs. Jessica and Dr Pike are super amazing folks. They actually listen to your problems. I have only had amazing experiences here so far. My wife has received amazing care here as well. My kids like to come here as well. read more

My son has been having stomach problems since the first time I had brought my baby to this clinic. I had told Dr Shannon that my baby SCREAMS whenever he poops and that he seems to also have a hard time passing down stool. Was told all of this is normal. I ended up making another appointment because my son started crying and screaming for hours in the evening. Same issue with his stool just screaming and not being able to pass stool and he if he did only once a day. I had mentioned to her that maybe the formula is not helping. I was told that colic is very normal and maybe can try gas drops and all these things that this tired mama have done already. Was also told to go to Facebook and join a colic group to see what other options are there. All of this without any testing done for my son to confirm that in fact he does have colic and it's not a stomach issue with his formula. I had mentioned to her that I only gave him just a tiny bit of water only ONCE and she had told me that the reason he can't poop is because abuse I've been giving him water and that's why he doesn't drink his milk. Funny thing is that my son seemed so much better after I gave him that tiny bit of water and was able to pass stool normally. He was not pooping even before giving him that tiny water how does that make sense ??? Just got a pat on the shoulder and was told to hang in there. I just get this weird vibe that something is not right and felt like a terrible mom. Again I make another appointment but this time the receptionist tells me that Dr Shannon is not there. For that week so the appointment was made with Kimberly. Only to find out that Dr Shannon indeed was there at the clinic that day. Dr Shannon if you didn't wanted to see my baby that's okay I understand. We found a better clinic anyways and my son is sooo much better. Anyways the appointment went normal until we mentioned again that our son just seems to be always crying never fully drinks his bottle and just only wants to be held upright. To a point that he screams all day long for hours in pain. Was told it could be reflux and to keep him upright for a half hour after feeding. I had told her that we had been doing that for a month and nothing seems to help and if there is anything that can be done with medicine or different formula. She asked like three times what formula my son was taking. She also mentioned that they avoid giving medicines and to wait a week. My son was also in for this appointment for an ingrown toenail. Both Dr Shannon and Kimberly start giving us a lecture on how to properly cut a toenail to avoid it being ingrown when we have told them that both mom and dad grew up with ingrown toenails and have had it surgically fixed. Again they ask if we are sure that we didn't cut our baby's toenail as if they didn't listen to what we just mentioned to them. We go back in our car my son starts to scream in pain which he has for weeks and hours in the day not being able to soothe him unable to strap him in his car seat. I go back in the clinic to ask for Kimberly she ask what is wrong. I told her what happened and she goes to the car and sees what's going on with my son ( my husband was in the car with my son) and she tells us AGAIN so what formula is your son taking ? Then she tells us we'll just give him this formula that you are already giving him. "Are you sure you're not giving him any water ?" I was just livid to hear this because I am sure Dr Shannon had mentioned to her about that conversation from the first appointment we had. We left feeling like terrible parent from the clinic. The next day my son woke up screaming and crying in pain from 6am all the way till noon with ONE ounce of milk. We ended up taking him to Vanderbilt children's hospital where we have confirmed with reflux and given Pepcid for his stomach. As well they had told us to change his formula to elecare. The very next day my baby woke up smiling and calm. A whole new brand baby. He passes stool without screaming in pain. He can smile and lay on his back comfortable without pain. It's been almost a month since then and he is not a miserable baby anymore. I wanna say and I hope the whole staff at this clinic can read this but shame on you. You not only disrespected me but mostly MY SON who can't speak or say what's actually happening to him and has been dealing with pain for months. I know you know who I am. I wish I could write a positive review of Elite but my last experience with them is forcing me to write this. When it comes to getting a message or any care over the phone or through the patient portal they are TERRIBLE I travel for work, and ran out of a prescription when I was traveling. I have called Elite and messaged on the portal multiple times and get a different answer every time. I was never able to get a straight answer from my nurse practitioner and my request to get the message to my NP was ignored every time. Dawn was especially unhelpful. This was an easy fix that turned into a nightmare. In the past with other doctors, if I had an issue traveling I would have left a message and my prescription would have been at the closest Walmart or CVS. Thanks to Elite's lack of care, all the work they did to make me well, I will now get sick because I cannot get access to my medication while traveling for work. read more

In the last few months this clinic has gone through so many changes and not for good of the patient. Dr. Pike is a great doctor but I mainly saw an NP that was all of a sudden no longer with this practice. They had a new NP and she lasted a few months and was also gone without warning. My entire family set up our primary care here a year and a half ago, recently my disabled sister in law was told they weren't able to see her because of a $14.08 past due balance that was never put on her patient portal to be paid. The office staff insists she get a secondary insurance with Medicare to be seen or pay full price. My husband went in for a routine medication refill for his arthritis and to see when or if he would ever see the referral to a specialist for shoulder pain that was ordered 3 months before, they wanted an outrageous deposit because our deductible wasn't met but we had no past due balance. This place has turned into a nightmare. It doesn't matter if a doctor is good if the office poorly run and the staff are rude. read more

I have taken my twins here twice and already dislike it. Never got to see a doctor always an NP. My kids suffer from acid reflux and we were supposed to be referred to Vanderbilt. First neither of them were finally after three weekend I called which they told me I would have to make another doctors appointment for it so I did. Than they confirmed that only one of twins was referred but not other well a month later and I'm still trying to get my daughter referred by them when they "claim" they've done it three times already read more

ZERO STARS - Front office staff member (Darlene), is the most unprofessional receptionist I have ever encountered. She is incredibly rude, hung up on me attempting to call the office multiple times with important information & then actually blocked my phone number from calling the office. I had to use another family members phone to call the office, & when I asked her why I kept getting hung up on & my number was blocked she came up with the stupidest story that she thought I'd actually buy. It was laughable... The office manager was absolutely no help either, blaming me for their lack of communication & not even addressing her staff's behavior. I really think they are miserable people who actually enjoy arguing with patients. I would NEVER refer anyone to this office or EVER go there again for care. There are so many patient reviews stating they were treated poorly by the front office staff. I wonder, do the doctor's condone this behavior? I'm so happy to say I'll be going to another general practitioner office that appreciates my business & treats me with respect. read more

The laziest staff I've ever worked with. Very disappointed. I use to go here when I was younger and loved the staff and the providers. Now there is one provider- Dr Pike who is great HOWEVER his front staff, not so much. I was dismissed from the practice for having my third "no show" which YES THIS IS TOTALY UNDERSTANDABLE. But one of those 3 was due to a surgery I had and had to cancel same day making it a no show. I spoke with someone who said if I faxed over the doctor note then she could get it approved and I could come back to the practice. Well I sent it over right away! Spoke with staff members after that about a prescription and they never said anything about me being dismissed since I sent the note. I'm pass due on a prescription and spoke with the same girl who continuously put me on hold and eventually the hold forwarded me to a voice mail, left a voicemail and no call back. Called AGAIN and same issue. Called today and I was told I need to find someplace else. I expressed my concerns and explained everything and she could care less. I do not recommend this place to anyone. If I could give 0 stars, I would. read more
