My husband's (whose profile I'm borrowing to write this review) computer suddenly stopped turning on and wouldn't load past the BIOS page. We figured it was an issue with the Hard Drive but didn't want to go buy another one and find out it was an unrelated SATA cable issue. Instead of spending a small fortune at Geek Squad or somewhere else, I decided to try Elite Technologies since it was just a block or so from where I live. I couldn't have been happier with my decision. Sight unseen Robert knew specific particulars about my computer model and accurately diagnosed the issue within minutes for free. When it turned out the issue was the Hard Drive, he was able to replace it (with a memory upgrade) and included a new edition of Windows 10 Pro with warranty. He also was able to refer me to another specialist who might be able to recover my files from the burnt-out Hard Drive! Robert has amazing social skills and was beyond patient and polite, answering all my inane questions and taking my blown-out-of-proportion fears in stride with good humor. From the time I called him up to me now typing this review in the comfort of my own home was less than 24 hours. I just can't believe how fast and good this service was. Oh! And as a bonus aside, Robert mentions that he builds custom PCs. I've known for years that I was being screwed by buying computers as-is from Dell, Amazon, et cetera, but I didn't know enough about building them myself to buy all the components to put an amazing one together at a fraction of the cost. It's exciting to know that there's someone trustworthy that can do this for me. From what I can tell, most of Elite Technologies's business is word of mouth and positive customer reviews. There are TONS on Google and curiously few here on Yelp. That should change, this man is one of San Antonio's best kept secrets. read more

TL;DR Look no further. Speedy, reasonably priced services, extremely knowledgeable and very professional! I recently built a gaming system after a 10 year hiatus and soon after I started having problems with the one of the RAM slots being recognized. While troubleshooting I had replaced just about every part of my build over a couple months, still had the same issue and was ready to throw my PC out the window. Took it to a different shop first, they had it for 2 months and couldn't figure out what was wrong. I saw great reviews for Elite Technologies so I brought in my PC and was not disappointed. Robert listened attentively while I explained to him everything I had tried and promised he would get to the bottom of it. Less than a week later Zachary called me up (which by the way was a pleasant conversation, he is super polite and very professional) letting me know they had discovered the cause and I could pick my system up. Now, unfortunately, a couple new issues popped up when I started gaming on the system, but they looked at it again and I had it back a few days later. I've been pushing my system for about two weeks now and it's smooth sailing! All RAM is recognized and running at proper speeds. I can't say enough good things about Elite Technologies. I have been taking my business to Elite Technologies since I moved to San Antonio in 2018. The service provided by Robert is professional, honest, reliable, friendly and affordable. I've also had instances to do business with his wife at the store and she has done so with the same service provided by her husband. When he doesn't deal in what you need, he refers you to a business that. That's how confident he is in what he does. If he doesn't have what you need, he'll quickly order it and have it in no time and do the work efficiently and in a timely manner. There have been instances when he has come to the store on an off day and/or stayed after hours when it was the only time I could make it in because he knew the transaction was important to me. You don't see that very often these days. He values his customers and I HIGHLY recommend and have recommended Elite Technologies to my family and friends. It is rare to find this kind of service provided by businesses these days. When you do, you want to tell others. What a wonderful jewel hidden in the West Side. I took my computer today for what I guessed was going to be horrible news. Technicians at Office Depo and Best-buy could not fix the problem and were telling me that I needed new memory and expensive fixes suggestions. Robert , the technician at Elite Technologies was friendly and very honest from the beginning. He told be the best case and worse case scenario. They are a small shop who's number one priority is helping the customer. Offering services from PC/console repair, computer parts, custom computer building, virus removal, and more. When you walk in, you're met with an open, clean environment with computer parts and similar items lining both sides of the store. My laptop's airplane mode wouldn't turn off which prevented me from accessing my internet. Master Tech Robert Bridges found there was a switch adjacent to the CD area (that appeared to be an open / close switch for the CD drive) and switched it on to deactivate the airplane mode. I'll know now that unmarked switch has nothing to do with the CD and will be able to do the same if it happens again. Further, the rest of the staff was very friendly. BTW, his only charge was for me to post this rating, which is well deserved so I'm happy to oblige. Kudos to Robert! read more
