I've been coming to Elite Women's Care Center for a few months now, and Haley Edmiston is truly one of the best providers I've ever had. I have very limited insurance coverage, and instead of brushing me off or making things complicated, Haley actually took the time to explore different options so I wouldn't have to pay a ton out of pocket. That alone says a lot about how much they genuinely care here. Haley and her assistant Gabby are an incredible duo -- both so sweet, patient, and attentive. They never rush me, they listen, they explain everything clearly, and you can feel how much they truly care about their patients' health and comfort. I love Dr. Pierce, I've been coming to her for several years. I've referred many of my colleagues and my family. She is patient and I never feel rushed. She has the best bed side manner and I feel like family. Her nurse is amazing as well. Kind, gentle, and not judgmental. The front office staff are also friendly. However, I took one star away because of an experience with the ultrasound tech today. She was unkind as soon as I stepped into the room and unnecessarily rough. She scolded me for not drinking enough water and was rough with the ultrasound wand. After, she did not even stop to look up from the monitor to give me further instructions on to what to do next. I had to ask, "what now?" After she told me to "clean yourself up". Her demeanor was as if I was interrupting her from doing something else other than this job. She can do better. This clinic is by far the worst I have ever been to. I received a bill from a collection agency from 3 years ago and I called the clinic and was told that my last visit was 2017. Well that's not true. I went in 2022. Then I was told it was my daughters bill from 3 years ago which they failed to tell me about. We have 2 medical insurance cards and now they are saying she owes $616 and they refuse to file Through insurance. I ask to speak to the manager and was transferred to a peon probably sitting to her. She wouldn't help me either and I asked to speak to her boss and she said doesn't have a boss and she's the only one I could talk to. Which she failed to help at all. read more

Love this place! We have never had to wait a crazy amount of time, the staff is friendly from check in to check out and in between. We have only seen Dr. Ademorah and she is AWESOME! Both my daughters see her and they love her. She has a great memory for small details and it's very comforting that she knows or takes the time to write down small bits of information about us. Made an appointment on ZocDoc just for them to call me the night before and told to call back. The next day, I called as soon as they opened and was told they would call me back in 20 minutes. I had to call back 45 minutes later and they told me my appointment was not approved so I had to reschedule 3 weeks after the date I was scheduled. If you are going to have a scheduling platform then you should know how to use it and it should be used efficiently. I drove from out of town for this appointment and now it is a complete waste of my time. Also, if you say you will call back then you should have the shortest of calling back especially if it is a timely concern. Terrible service. Dr. Pierce is the very best OB/GYN in Houston! Truly ELITE. I was looking for the OB/GYN that the best OB/GYN's would go to and trust = Dr. Pierce. She is extremely knowledgeable and honest. You need a doctor that will help you sort through fact and feeling and she has the expertise and patience to do just that. I am grateful for not only Dr. Pierce but her staff as well. Nurse DAPHNE is a Godsend! Daphne is intelligent, intuitive and oh so kind! The two together make each of my visits meaningful and I leave knowing more about my health and assured that I chose the best of the best when it comes to OB/GYNs. It has been a nightmare trying to schedule a new patient appointment with this place!! I've been calling for 3 weeks trying to confirm if my medical records arrived. Due to being told "nobody would see me without them" since I'm from out of state. Each time nobody knows anything. I'm positive Kaiser sent them and at this point I had to obtain them myself. Everyone seems disorganized and tries to blame others or just plain lazy. I offered to send my complete medical records, as well as my insurance info and drivers license because I was tired of being thrown around. When given a email to send them to, it couldn't be delivered due to the email mailbox being full. WTF I'll be finding another provider! This has been a complete waste of my time, I really wanted to like this place but it shows they're unorganized and drag their feet. read more

Let me start by sharing my experience from the very beginning of my pregnancy. I scheduled my initial appointment after I got positive on my pregnancy test at homeI was around 10 weeks. I met with Dr. Pierce and I felt like another number for her. She didn't even congratulated me, no interest whatsoever even though I was crying tears of joy for the wonderful news. Anyways no big deal for me..my mood was over the top to pay attention to small details. for my sister who was there it was a big issue and compared her Dr with Dr. Pierce when she was expecting her first and mentioned the noticeable differences. I continued with my appointments and never met with Dr. Pierce again, I had 3-4 more and always nurse visits. I mentioned this to my sister and several coworkers and again was suggested to consider a different obgyn before it was too late to switch, which I did. I transferred all my medical records to a different OBGYN, recommend by a friend and let me tell you all... from my first appointment EVERYTHING was different, met with my new Dr in every visit. I was 22 weeks when I was no longer Dr. Pierce's patient and tell me why I got a call around when I was 30 weeks asking for me to schedule an appointment and wondering if I was okay....yes, I made the right decision, worst customer service. read more

Horrible bed side manner. Dr. Makes you feel stupid for expressing concern or asking questions. Long story short. She perform a surgery on me in July. I am now having horrible pain in the area. She blew me off at my follow up appointment when I brought it up. I went for a 2nd option and I have a hernia from the surgery and need a correction surgery from where she tied off my uterus. So two things need to be corrected now. And Now have to have another surgery . Beware going here. Not only that but my whole surgery experience was awful. Pain was not controlled and her communication between my nurses and me where awful. read more

I've been going here for years but within the last year things just haven't been right! The staff has become so unprofessional! And When delivery labs and test now over the phone it terrible. Not only can certain words be taking out of context the way in which it's delivered is awful! And Stephine I believe is her name is so rude she gives this nasty/nice attitude and I've def had enough. I would not recommend this clinic AT ALL. I went to this clinic back in May 2019. I had the worst experience. Being my first time going to a gynecologist I chose the wrong doctor and place. When I went to Dr. Pierce for a problem I had, she was cold and judgmental. She ordered some blood tests and they did them there in the clinic but they failed to let me know the cost was separate. I received a bill of $5,000 LabCorp later in the mail for all the blood tests they did in the clinic. Anyways, I came back again to the clinic for the follow up and never again saw Dr. Pierce. Also, Dr. Pierce checked my breast and said they were okay... when I went to get checked in my country instead, in Guatemala, the doctor told me I had a ball in my right breast and I felt it. I had exams/scans taken and thank God it was nothing serious like breast cancer but imagine if it was?! If it was something serious and Dr. Pierce for being in the rush she was missed it. The only good thing about this clinic is nurse Robinson, sweet as ever and very comforting. She should be the doctor instead for her amazing bedside manner. Specially if you don't have insurance, do not go there. I would just go to planned parenthood. This clinic is just out for our money not well-being. read more

I agree with the reviewer a few comments below. Dr. Pierce is a great doctor. I really love here demeanor and expertise. However, some (not all) staff members were, what I deemed, rude. I'm not sure if they meant to be, but some of their behaviors definitely came off as unprofessional. One nurse literally made me wait as she finished sending a series of what looked like personal texts right in front of me, and never apologized for taking up my time. There was just an heir of "I don't care" amongst some (not all) of the staff. Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. Too bad, because Dr. Pierce is great! I will continue going to her for now, and block out some of the negative unprofessionalism I encounter from staff. read more

At the beginning of 2015 I found out I was pregnant. I had a different Doctor, prior to switching to Dr. Pierce. Thanks to Obama Care I had the worst luck finding a doctor/hospital combo anywhere close to where I live. I started making calls and stumbled upon Elite Women's Care. The woman on the other end of the phone, Brooke, was my savior!! She was the nicest, most patient person, as I called her at least 10 times that day to get the right insurance that both their office and Methodist took. After finally settling on a plan, I had my appt. with Dr. Pierce, set. Once I met her, I knew she would be my doctor for life. She's so thorough, very concerned and super friendly. I'm so glad to have a doctor that listens and takes in account my needs. Not too mention, pretty damn good at delivering. Love her and her staff!! read more

First time moms AVOID THIS HEARTACHE. Nurse Robinson is very nice over everything. If you need an annual, by all means try them out. The staff is nice. But they've made my experience of expecting my FIRST the worst experience!! I was cash paying at first and a nurse scheduled me without giving me a price. Once I arrived for my appointment they told me the price. $600 for a first ultrasound I was ready to pay some of it but after 30 mins of trying to figure out if they'll take the cash or not, they canceled the appointment and told me to wait until my insurance was available. 5 days later my Medicaid was ready and we had an appointment set. I called today with a concern only to be told 1. Try and go to an urgent care 2. My previous ob( whom I've never even met) doesn't take my care plan..( the plan the office staff suggested I got on) 3. The OTHER Ob there accepts my plan but doesn't do high risk.. The most unorganized,unprofessional establishment Ive come across. read more

Last night I went to the ER for a cyst rupture. They told me to follow-up with a gynecologist ASAP. I was able to get an appointment the next day since which I was so pleased with since I was off of work. I live kind of far and it took me 45 minutes to get there only for me to show up and the nurse pull me back and say there wasn't anything for they could do for me and to come back in a week. I put all the info of what was going on with me in the notes when I requested the appointment and the appointment had been approved. I was furious because it was such a wasted trip. Having birthed five children, I'm not a stranger to Obgyn's and have seen a handful of average to excellent physicians over the years. Having recently moved to Houston I was in need of a new one and after a month of uterine/bladder pain I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Pierce. Red flag #1, I was able to get an appointment within a week, where the other offices I called initially had month or longer wait times for new patients. Red flag #2. I specifically scheduled my appointment for a Monday as my youngest child is only in preschool M/W/F. I arrived 10 minutes early as instructed, and upon checking in, was told they did not have me on the schedule and my appointment was for the following day, a TUESDAY. I said they were mistaken, as I would not have made an appt. on a Tuesday when I had no childcare. (No need to traumatize a 4 yo boy with his mom in stirrups spead eagle. Mmmkay...) Receptionist tells me to sit in the waiting room so I did, for an hour. The medical assistant was very nice. Dr. Pierce could learn a thing or two from her bedside manner. I found this doctor's demeanor very cold and aloof. I felt that she was completely uninterested in answering my questions and was anxious to complete the exam and get me out of there. She informed me that I had "blood in my urine" and when I asked Dr. Pierce what that meant she told me "probably kidney stones." I followed up with a highly respected urologist, who found no blood in my urine; both an x-ray and ultrasound of my kidneys revealed no kidney stones. Apparently (per the urologist) it is not possible to have blood in urine and then have it disappear two days later, so Dr. Pierce is apparently not even able to culture urine properly. As I mentioned, after 5 kids and a couple of moves I've been to a number of OB's... Some I liked better than others but all were competant, professional, and put me at ease. I will not be returning to Dr. Pierce. read more

Today was my first visit with Dr. Pierce at Elite Women's Care Center. My previous OB/GYN is in the medical center and it's a hassle trying to park, pay for parking, then wait two hours to see her. However, that was not my experience with Elite Women's Care Center. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, and my wait time was no where near the two hour wait time that I'm usually stuck with. Dr. Pierce was very thorough with her exam and offering suggestions for the betterment of my health, and her staff assisted with getting approvals from my insurance company. read more

I have had a hard time finding a good OB/GYN since I moved from Dallas 4 years ago. Today, when I met Dr. Nesochi Adimorah, I was super anxious. She and her staff put me immediately at ease. She personally probably spent 30 minutes with me going over my history and helping address my concerns. Her entire staff was lovely, they were kind, attentive, professional. I've been going to Dr. Pierce since 2008 (ten years now). I've seen her office staff change over the years, and mostly for the better. The older reviews on here say that her staff was rude, and they were. She has since had new people come in that are very nice. The reviews about Dr. Pierce's concerning bedside manner are spot on. For years, I just thought that it was me that she just didn't connect well with, but it's not the case. She is very direct, and if you're concerned about something then she seems very annoyed and doesn't truly listen to your concerns. Her nurses rarely ever called you back if you left a message. I brushed all of this off because honestly, I would go in for my yearly exams and I had an IUD put in by her, and that was pretty much it. It wasn't until something went wrong that I had to make the hard choice to find another Obgyn. When something is wrong, figuring out who you can trust is the last thing you need to be doing. After finding the right Obgyn for me, I can now say that she diagnosed a very serious condition wrong, had me pay a lot of money for the tests, all to be told to go to the ER if the pain continues because I could lose an ovary. I haven't had kids yet, so naturally this was a big concern for me, which again she seemed very annoyed that I was concerned and was asking her questions about it. Then she handed me a pamphlet to read if I had any more questions. She truly was that insensitive. So, after 10 years of being her patient, I can honestly say that she doesn't have a good bedside manner and a good attitude in general, and she does not diagnose problems accurately. read more

My first visit was from my Primary Care recommendation. I must say I was not impressed at all. I did feel welcomed. It was not a polite experience. I felt like a number, not a person. Also, as a first time patient you would expect to see the doctor Pearce, but I never saw or meet the doctor nor did I ever get my results back. Years later this same office was recommended by one of my primary care doctors and I told her that I have been there before and had the worse experience as a new patient and I do not think I want to go back. So my doctor told me that there was another doctor in the office. I decided to give it a try. Once again, the front desk was rude, and did not make me feel welcome. She first told me that I had an appointment with the first doctor and I told her No, I am to see the other doctor. She then told me that I had to make another appointment then, I told her that I knew I would not have a good experience and this was my second time and I have yet to have a good experience. She then preceded to ask the nurse practitioner. I told her that I have yet to see a doctor in this office and do NOT want to see a nurse practitioner at this time. So I was put in to see the new doctor. My visit with the new doctor was good. I hope to be able to see her again before she has her twins. read more

I had my fist appointment today and it went great. The front girl doesn't mind you as much, but then again she has to answer all the incoming calls and patients that come in. Dr. Pierce and the entire staff that I've had the opportunity to work with during this pregnancy (since June 2018) have been absolutely outstanding. As a mother who has had a number of losses in the past I feel I have more questions than most and every step of the way all of the team members have been respectful, courteous and understanding. They have all managed my husband and I's expectations for the course of care during this pregnancy while making the process as easy as possible. Dr. Pierce has been a big part of that. We will be delivering at Methodist West and with every visit to the hospital and interaction with staff outside of her practice, we hear nothing but praise for her professionalism, knowledge and personality. After reading some of the reviews previously posted I felt compelled to add my own experience to this list. I also have worked with a number of physicians and OB's in my adult life and encourage anyone looking for an OB with Dr. Pierce's experience to at least make an appointment to interview her for yourself. I am a current patient of Dr. Pierce. I can say I really do like the nurses that usually care for me they're warm and friendly. Dr. Pierce is fine. She does seem rushed and doesn't really take time to make her patients feel like she cares. The office is always super busy and I generally wait 45 minutes past my appointment time until I get seen. This is my first pregnancy and they generally tell me which tests are happening at which appointments but at one point they had taken bloodwork for a test and never sent it in. By the next appointment I guess it was too late for that particular test. My test results are never explained to me at follow up appointments and the time taken to explain what each test is for is minimal. The voicemail box clients are directed to schedule appointments has been full for two months at least. It's rare to call and actually speak to a real person and maybe 50/50 you'll get call back in a timely manner if at all. Now, these are all the things I had overlooked this whole time (33 weeks into my pregnancy). I had a couple instances where I wasn't sure if I was leaking amniotic fluid. No other pain or symptoms so I called to explain what I'd experienced. Left a message. I got a call back from a nurse the next day telling me to go straight to the hospital because they don't handle this particular issue in office. Rather they can't test for it. If this is true they're incapable of something every other OB office can handle without a problem. I explained that my state insurance (CHIP) doesn't cover any hospital visits except the delivery itself. Still, I was told there was nothing they could do. Needless to say I found another OB who is willing to take me late term AND handle the issue in office. I hope with the new doctor I can look forward to appointments and at least have an good idea what's going on inside my body and with the baby. read more

Dr pierce was recommended to me by a family member about 3 years ago, the first time I went in for my yearly checkup up everything went well. When I went for my next yearly check up I was asked if it's okay if nurse Robinson sees me instead because dr pierce was booked out for a few weeks. I saw no issue with it and went ahead and had an appointment with nurse Robinson. She's a very sweet woman with amazing bedside manner. The reason I'm leaving 3 starts is because recently it's been hard to get in communication with the staff. I went in for an issue I was having, nurse Robinson explained some possible causes and I went on my way to fix the issue. After a month the problem came back. I was told to call back if I had any issues, so I did call and none of the nurses answered the phone so I left a voicemail and no one got back to me within the time frame the voicemail machine said they would. So I had to instead call again and go through the "appointment" option to actually speak to someone. I explained the issue and the lady told me that she would relay the message to nurse Robinson. The message was that I needed a refill on medication because my problem came back. I never got a call back from any nurse. And it took a week for my pharmacy to get the prescription. I had to go and buy OTC medication instead because I was never told when my prescription would be filled. I see a lot of responses from the business manager saying to contact them before leaving bad reviews. But how can we if y'all don't answer or call back patients? This clinic is more focused on quantity vs quality. I tried calling twice this week because I was having issues with my BC prescription and insurance. The answering machine just tells me to call back when they open so I can't even leave a message. Not happy at all with the recent events. I will be looking for another OB/GYN. read more

Dr. Pierce is absolutely incredible. She is kind, compassionate, and always takes the time to listen to any concerns and put your mind at ease. However, time spent with her is only about 5 minutes out of the 2 hour time you are sitting in that office. Her nurses are really the downfall of this office. When I got pregnant, and started asking around for good ob's; the advice that stuck with me the most was make sure you like your nurses because you spend more time with them than you do the dr and they are typically the ones you call with a question. Well, these nurses do not make the cut. They are rude, they seem rushed, and every time I leave there- i feel like crying. They make me feel like I am annoying them with my questions and that's an ugly way to feel. The lady that typically answers the phone doesnt ever smile and makes me feel stupid when I ask a question. Also, one thing that really bugs me is that you can't open the window at the front desk to ask a question or even knock on it. I know that seems so silly but at the new DR I just went to yesterday, the receptionist and the nurses are so warm that there sign says "it is okay to open window; that's why we are here". LOVE that. take a lesson from that, rude lady from dr. pierces office that sits at the front desk. It seems like Dr. Pierce is friends with them though so this is probably not something that will change. Again. she's wonderful but the feeling you have when you are there- not so much. read more

I am so particular about doctors so I am not one to change doctors very often especially my "lady parts" doctor. I was a bit aprehensive but went on the word of the yelpers. Thank goodness for yelp. Dr. Pierce is really patient, she doens't rush, she really listens to you and is very helpful. I can be a bit of a talker but she was so patient with me. I started going to Elite Women's Care Center when I found out I was expecting my first child, and my initial impression was good. Dr. Pierce was very sweet and caring and made me feel at ease, and the nurse Deborah was pretty nice too. Unfortunately as time went on I became less and less impressed with the office staff. The receptionist, Brooke, seemed completely annoyed if I ever had a question. She would immediately transfer me to the nurses' station voicemail where I would rarely get a call back, even when I was very sick and had questions, and when I was going through withdrawal from anxiety medications. By the time they offered me any help it was over a week later and I was feeling much better. Now that I am switching offices (for insurance reasons, Dr. Pierce was so nice that I would have stayed despite her less than helpful staff), it has been eye opening to see how friendly and helpful an office staff can and should be, especially when dealing with scared patients in their first pregnancy like me. read more
