They had ALL five star reviews and let me tell you, they deserve every one of them. One of our offices had a drive failure in an iMac that was used for customer invoicing. The only backup was several months old (another story) and without this computer functioning, the office was dead in the water. They diagnosed the computer as having a dead drive and then started the data recovery. They kept us notified on their progress every several hours. By the end of the day, they had recovered ALL of the data, replaced the iMac internal drive with a new 1 terabyte drive, installed a new version of the Mac operating system and copied the data back. I never write yelp reviews unless it matters. I recently took my computer to Emily. She was nice enough, just not smart enough. I had forgotten my password encrypted on my Mac, The little ? mark that helps you remember are 2 questions: Your registry key and your Apple ID to reset your password. I could not reset due to not being on line with my laptop. I took my laptop in and she could not fix it. I asked her what the registry key and tried to show her the ? and point it out and she was just blank. Had no idea what I was asking, like she did not click on the little ? mark. I came home and felt so stupid myself (and I am not a Mac Repair business owner) that all I had to do was plug the Mac in to my hard line from the modem, I simply plugged in the Mac to the modem, and was able to use my Apple ID password and reset my password. The. Absolute. Best. Prices are extremely fair. I went in with a messed up battery. Not only did they fix it, but they also fixed my logic board, replaced a screw, and reapplied some other things. I was going to lose my mind when I spilled water on my Macbook pro which then stopped working. I hastily bought a 13 inch macbook to take to France with me (humble brag) because I needed it for work. That stupid computer was built so cheaply that when I put it in my backpack in the overhead of the airplane it somehow did impact damage to the retina display. I took it back to Apple thinking of course they would replace it but they said no. It would cost upwards of $500 and take three or four days. I took it to Elite Mac Techs and they fixed it for $400 flat in under two hours. Then, my water damaged computer - which Apple said would cost a minimum of $1200 to fix -- these guys waived the consultation fee ($75), cleaned it TWICE and then said they could fix it all for just $250, including the tiny screws I myself took off and promptly lost. I have never gotten service THIS GOOD. I recommend them as highly as I possibly can. read more

They guys are great. A few weeks ago I tried to replace the battery in my Macbook Pro as it was completely dead. Got a new one and the proper tools (Y-screwdriver and all). Everything seemed to be going smooth until the screwdriver appear to be stripping one of the screws that held in the battery. I tried a few more times but ultimately stopped before I damaged it too much. Called up the guys here, explained my situation, they quoted me a price and advised me of the potential consequences of stripping out the screw. Thirty minutes later I was there handing over my laptop and the new battery. I conversed with the guy at the counter for a few minutes (I'm terrible with names and this was weeks ago). He was really cool and after a couple minutes took my laptop to the technician in the back. I kid you not, the tech (still drawing a blank on the name) brought out my laptop before the counter guy had finished my invoice. New battery installed and old battery in hand. He had been worried when he heard about the stripped screw but when he opened it up he said it wasn't bad at all which made it super easy to get the screw out. Long story short, these guys are just great. Fast, friendly and knowledgeable. I was in and out in under ten minutes. I don't think I have ever had anything serviced that quickly before. Though your mileage may very. They mentioned that had the screw been completely stripped it could have taken considerably longer. Possibly even over night. I was very fortunate. read more

FIVE STARS! These guys are professional, polite, fast and most importantly, they deliver the goods! I went in with my daughter's 11" macbook air that had a hard drive problem. I tried every solution I could find on the internet, and nothing worked. The drive could be read, but the partition with her information could not be mounted or repaired. I brought out in to see the geniuses at Apple, and they said it was beyond repair. They would replace the SSD hard drive for free, but they told me the info and work on the computer was most likely lost for ever. My daughter was heartbroken, and for whatever reason I could not seem to track down her backup that I thought I had set up on time machine. Determined not to take this lying down, I searched for that miracle, that needle in the haystack, and I found it at Elite Mac Techs. Parking was a breeze, the drop off could not have been faster and easier, and the young man who took my info was polite and reassuring. I opted to do a rush diagnosis for 50 dollars, and with an hour I had gotten the good news, that not only was the data still on the drive and they were able to recover every last byte, but that I could pick the computer up in ten minutes! My wife went instead, and she also commented to me (unprompted) about how pleasant the experience was and how polite the staff is at the shop. Fantastic find. I had spilled a little wine accidentally on my 6 month old Macbook Pro - took it to the Apple store - they wanted $750 to clean and replace any damage - the warranty does not apply for liquid damage. Took it to these guys, they cleaned it in one day, and charged $75 plus kept me updated via email as to what was going on. As happy as can be to get my laptop back. Learnt a hard lesson - never have liquids near a computer. read more

Can I give more than 5 stars? Without question Brian is by far the best technical service person I have ever come across. We have used his services three times so I know it is the way he always does business and not just some fluke. Brian is friendly, professional, and unbelievably fast. The first time I went to him he told me it would take 3 or 4 days to fix my problem - which I thought was unusually quick - but then he called me the very next day to say that the job was completed. While I am sure that there are times when he is swamped, even his projected times are always better than average. I would - and do - recommended him to ANYONE who needs Mac service. My Macbook Pro has had the spinning wheel of death for the past year or so and it finally got to the point where it was just too unbearable. I just needed to upgrade my RAM, per Apple's recommendation, so I found these guys via Yelp and decided to give them a go. The process took all of 20 minutes and the cost was much lower than I ever could have expected. The customer service was great as well, and one of the techs actually took a second to explain what was making my computer run so slowly initially. So, with fingers crossed upon returning home, I rebooted my laptop and voila. I feel like I'm working on a brand new computer. I had a serious problem with my iMac. I was having all sorts of computer issues the most serious being I could not open a critical Quicken file. I called a tech friend who tried his best to help. He failed miserably. He "lost" my Mail and I could not receive or send. Furthermore the computer was as slow as molasses. In desperation I took my computer to Nathan at EliteMacTechs. He took the matter under control, installed a solid state hard drive, installed additional RAM, and solved all the problems. Now my computer is fast and all my emails were recovered and the missing Quicken file found. Nathan is a genius. I sure hope I never have Macbook issues again but if I do I will come here. I first found them on yelp and was amazed at all the 5 star reviews. My laptop was running super slow consistently and it was only a year old. They recommended upgrading my hard drive because I was just overworking it with all my documents open, photoshop, etc. (even though I still think I don't have THAT much open!). I did what they said and ever since everything has run awesome and i've never had issues with it being slow or freezing again. 6 months later---last week--the WORST of the worst happened and I spilled coffee on it. Not very much but it just so happened to be that little spot right between the keyboard and monitor. The screen went crazy for a sec then everything shut off. Freaking out because I need this for daily work, I took it in ASAP. The reason I'm saying all this is because it really depends on what area you damage and how badly as to how much you'll have to pay. When I took it in they said it could be fixed for as low as a $75 cleaning or it could cost hundreds. Guess what? It cost hundreds. It was the logistics board they had to special order. Luckily they were very transparent about everything, and I'm really thankful to have my computer back, but with the special order it took 1 week and $700 :( I didn't even attempt to go to the Apple store b/c I know my warranty doesn't cover it, so I wonder how much it would've cost there. I wish I never bought the stupid warranty for $300 or whatever, what a waste. Honestly for the price of that part, it seemed like I should just buy a whole new laptop! But I opted to fix it and now everything's back to normal. Moral of the story... NO LIQUIDS NEAR THE COMPUTER!!!! I now have a slight panic when I take a sip of coffee. Overall good people, good service, they seem honest (my tech knowledge is pretty minimal, I won't lie), so as much as I hesitate to give anyone I had to pay $700 to a 5-star rating, I know it's what they deserve. read more

Brian is my neighbor and I knew for a while he fixed Macs but hesitated to get mine fixed because I was worried I wouldn't be able to afford it. Plus I didn't want to be without my laptop for a long time because I use it constantly. The hinge next to my screen was broken, and it kept breaking more and more every time I opened it. So I told myself enough is enough! Just go to Brian, see what he says... Not only was he very accommodating and quick to respond, but he was super affordable and FAST! AHHH! I can't believe I just spilled soda on my computer! Of COURSE this happens on midterms week, I'm just that lucky... I honestly thought that I'd just spilled a thousand dollar cup of soda. My first thought was "AppleCare!" My second thought was "Haha YOU FOOL! You spilled a liquid! No warranty for you!" I'd never been to a Mac repair place before in my eight years of owning Macs. I saw Elite's 5/5 on Yelp, and called them first thing in the morning (Friday). They were courteous, professional, and charged $75 for an initial checkup and cleaning to see if that would fix the problem. It didn't. $100 later, a power cable that had been fried was replaced and my computer was as good as new! BEST THING is that they had it ready for me the next day for pickup! Great staff, great service; I know where I'll be going next time I spill Diet Coke on my computer (because I know it's going to happen...). The only bad thing about it is that getting in and out of the parking area is a major pain. read more

Typical problem: my 2009-ish MacBook Pro's original battery was dying--and therefore swelling, ruining my trackpad. Took it in to these guys, and they did a free diagnostic to confirm the problem. They were in touch a few hours later with all the info--both the battery and the trackpad needed replacing. The really impressive thing, though, was that they not only quoted me fair and accurate prices to replace each part, they explained how I might be able to work around only replacing one or the other if I preferred not to spend the money (using the computer only with the power cord in one case, or using an external mouse in the other). How often does an auto mechanic--let alone a tech service person--explain your options to you like that?! In the end it seemed worth it to me to replace both, and now my MBP is humming along fine, and my trackpad is satisfyingly "clicky" again. Hopefully I've bought myself another couple years with this computer. The bottom line with this place is that they did the repairs quickly, at a fair price, and they were friendly and professional throughout. Also they offer a 2-month warranty on their work. I had a great experience with EliteMacTechs after a cup of juice spilled on my son's Mac. I had originally gone to the Apple store, where I received a repair quote that was nearly the same price as what I paid for the computer. In comparison, the the friendly staff here walked me through their cleaning and repair process, kept me up-to-date on the status of each step, and at the end of the day they were able to get the Mac up and running again for less than half of what Apple quoted. My iMacs hard drive failed Sunday night, had it back Wednesday afternoon with a brand new 2TB drive, data recovery and transfer. Apple or Melrose Mac would've easily taken over a week, if not more. They don't deal with Applecare, so just be mindful of that. I can't recommend these guys enough, Charmaine at the front desk is such a cool, sweet, and knowledgeable person. Nathan fixed my machine, and gave me phone support afterwards for the bugs associated with any new hard drive.
