I wasn't familiar with the name, but knew the location as there used to be another hair salon in that same building. Moxie has the corner spot in that complex and parking was easily available as I pulled into the lot . As me and my daughter walked in we were greeted with a loud welcome. Since it was late afternoon and they are fairly new, there weren't any customers in there so we got seated immediately. My hair stylist was Katie, who did an excellent job cutting my hair and while doing so explained the Moxie philosophy of teamwork. This is the first franchise that they have opened outside of NJ. My daughter decided to get a blow dry while she waited for me, but Katie was very quick in cutting my hair and once freed, she and the other stylist "Max" started working on my daughter's hair. We were in and out pretty quickly and I really enjoyed the warmth with which both the stylist received us and seemed very committed to their work. I am sure they offer other services too, but since I only came for a haircut I did not inquire, neither was there a need for me, but my daughter was planning some additional activity with them for an upcoming bridal shower for her friend. Great new place with extended hours, that I am sure I would find convenient, given I never plan for haircuts.

I absolutely hate it. She was willing to fix it by adding blonde highlights... Again I asked for RED. My hair look orangey brown in the sun and there are parts of my hair that weren't dyed. She kept pushing more treatments. It seemed like she had no idea how to dye hair but only to rack up the bill. The highlights she wanted to added would cost $340 to do streaks around my face and for a full head it would an additional $680. She claimed the highlights would brighten my hair and give me the RED look I wanted. However If I wanted to have my hair RED which I originally asked for- it would cost $550 to bleach it plus the red dye which would be another $200. Her reasoning was because she would have to use so much product. I have very thin hair that goes allie past my shoulders. My mother on the other hand wanted her hair white which it was already and to have it trimmed where there was some light blonde tips. My mother's hair is not white, it's now yellow and there are patches all over her head and the cut, is completely crooked. She once again was willing to bleach it again but it would cost another few hundred dollars. She has no idea how to cut hair nor dye hair and does not listen to the customer. She does it the way she wants to do it. When you don't like the way it looks she try's selling you on multiple treatments worth hundred and hundreds more. I highly do NOT recommend this salon. They don't know how to cut hair or dye hair... nor do they listen to how you want your hair done. They only care about getting as much money as they can from you. All I know is that the bill was over $400 or at least that's what she said however I never saw a bill nor signed the receipt. Did she charge me for a blow out when my hair was air dried or a cut that I never received. As far as I know she could have charged a lot more money than I'm aware of. I guess I will have to check my credit card company to see just how much she changed me. I don't trust this salon. They are very inexperienced and their pricing is outrageous. Save your money and your hair.

I had always gotten my hair done in Manhattan and was wary of getting it done in the suburbs (was having nightmares of a chunky highlighted blond bob) but decided to give this place a try. I'm so so so glad I did! The space is immaculate and they have the proper procedures in place to safely get your hair done. There are 2 stylists and everyone had on a mask / I watched the spaces get cleaned in between clients. It's got great lighting and design and right next to the train station.
