Ponderosa Valley Funeral Services was recommended to me and my sister by the pastor at her church. When we arrived at the funeral home, we were met with such warmth and compassion. Steve, the funeral director, is very soft spoken and was very empathetic to our situation. Never having planned a funeral before, Steve walked us through each step and was extremely patient with us and all of our questions. He made us feel so comfortable. We felt like our mom was in really good hands and being treated with the respect she deserves. He mentioned how she had a warm blanket, a pillow, night light and music playing in the background. Even though my mom might not know the difference, it was just comforting to us to know that she was well taken care of. At the private family viewing, Steve and his wife Nanci set everything up so beautifully. We were actually surprised at how good they made our mom look, given the circumstances of her death. I was afraid I wouldn't recognize her, but I did. She looked beautiful and as much like herself as she possibly could. They really did a great job and are definitely perfectionists at what they do. Even though we had the actual funeral at a church two days after the viewing, Steve and Nanci took care of our flowers and brought them and the photos from the funeral home to the church. It was one less thing for us to worry about that day. They even offered to take and donate any flowers that we didn't want to take home. Because this is an emotional time for anyone going through it, it's nice to know that your loved ones are taken care of and that you feel cared for as well. I really love the fact that it is a small, family owned business. We really felt like we got the personal attention that we needed. Every time we called, we always got Steve or Nanci on the phone. Whenever we would pull up to the front door, Steve would come outside, greet us by name and help us with anything that we needed to carry in or out. I believe it's the little details like that that really make a difference. I felt like they treated us and our mom as though we were their family members. Thank you Steve and Nanci for taking such good care of us and our mom and for putting our minds at ease during this difficult time.

On National Pet Memorial Day, (second Sunday in September) Seven Stones offers the community an…read moreopportunity to place your pet's ashes in their Forever Friends Commons - free of charge. I went this year with ashes from three sweet dogs. Seven Stones is light & airy, very serene. Lots of beautiful flowers, trees & sculptures. Nice paths to walk around with creeks & waterfalls to enjoy. For this Pet Memorial Seven Stones partnered with Caring Pathways, a pet palliative care service. They set up tables & chairs under a shade awning & even provided breakfast treats & water. Note, you need to make a reservation to participate, 25 people is the max & it lasted about two hours. We all brought photos of our pets & each had an opportunity to talk about them. There was a wonderful officiant who delivered a heartwarming service, followed by a craft activity. Lastly, we all went down to the Forever Friends Commons to place the ashes. Seven Stones did a beautiful memorial service, such caring people. It was a very emotional & touching send off to all the pets in their final resting place.

We had to wait 3 months for our insurance to close the investigation and get start on mitigation. For our family of 4 this was one of the most traumatic events and we lost everything initially. It was difficult to know what to do, how cleanup goes, which businesses to trust and who had our interests too. We want to HIGHLY recommend Prism as we checked 3 other companies and Prism was local, truly showed empathy and worked with us if we had any needs. They are true professionals and also work with your insurance if questions or options need to be explored. What stands out is how they worked with my wife on packing our textiles, clothes, electronics and appliances out. It was more emotional than we thought it would be. Craig, Todd and Jill worked with us to provide an overview of the process, put together an estimation for our adjuster and then we worked together with them that day. We LOVED that they took safety as a priority and empathy for us. Although our insurance did not allow items to be replaced, Jill and her team understood what we needed to have cleaned and what we didn't with no judgement. They worked with us and provided great options. The smoke damage, extinguisher dust and other particles were so bad in our kitchen that their team did recommend replacement on items like a stove, microwave and Walter filtration system. Music to our ears as we do want the home to be safe upon return. If you are wading through the difficulty of a fire loss, please reach out on Yelp as we've learned a lot and it's a hard path. There is not really a manual or Yelp on all of this stuff all the time. But please know Priam and their team are great to work with and we are happy we chose them as they are not only good at what they do but have care and concern for the clients. I know it sounds odd, but when you are going through this process, it can be really hard to find companies who have a solid track record but also care.

Prism Specialties of CO took all of our items in our house (soft goods and electronics) and cleaned them. They were amazing to work with - some special call outs to Jill Markwood, Todd Tenebaum, Craig Jacobs, and Erik! Highlights of our experience: The team was completely swamped from the Louisville fire in January 2022 but that didn't stop them from going above and beyond for us. They helped get us everything we needed until 100% was returned by expediting multiple items. They first expedited some essentials (clothing, bedding) to get us by for a few weeks until our 'essentials for a month' were completed. They then helped rush our Wedding attire for a wedding we were a part of! When all of our items were returned, 100% of everything came back in perfect condition. They cleaned everything according to the label on our clothes, our curtains were dry cleaned, etc. They took better care of our items then we did. While I know that is a part of the service they provide as a standard I wanted to call it out here. They even helped put everything back in each room that it came from, including reinstalling our refrigerator, washer & dryer, and dishwasher. Their documentation and guidance was extremely helpful when working with the insurance company. They sent everything to the insurance agency with us in copy and made it so easy for us. We appreciated the way they helped us through this situation, as we had never done it before. It meant the world to us. Working with their team WAS AMAZING. They were kind, professional, funny, and personable. When ever I had a question, they were immediately available through phone or email, and often called me outside of working hours to answer my questions quickly. I really can not say enough in this recommendation. It is my hope that we never have to use a service like this again, but if we did, I would use them every single time.

LSP is our kiddos home away from home and we can't say enough great things about the school and the…read morestaff. We now have 2 littles attending and using their app we get to see so many updates on what our kiddos are doing throughout the day with timestamps (eating, sleeping, bottles, food, pictures, fun activities, etc). We love that they provide meals and an additional perk is that they bring a dance teacher and soccer buddies once a week! I would have never imagined how much our oldest has grown up, matured, and worked through all of the challenging milestones a child goes through and I can honestly say I don't know if it wouldn't have been possible without the staff at LSP. Starting with the front desk (Tatyana, Kayla, Alley) with great communication and welcoming arms. Secondly, the support staff (Emma, Donna, Calista, Lindsay, Ms. Morgan) who provide consistency and a friendly face when their core teachers need to step away, but most importantly the classroom teachers. Our oldest is in the Two's classroom and God Bless these teachers with their patience, care, and understanding of children's development. Ms. Nizhoni and Ms. Justice have been a staple to consistency for home and school and it has paid dividends to our son's success with emotional control, potty training, and even converting to the big boy bed. I love that we can express concerns, create a plan of action for communication for home and school and watch our dude learn so much faster. I would be remised to not mention the infant classroom. Mr. Kelly and Ms. Emily are absolutely amazing when it comes to the care for our 4month old. There is no doubt how much they love working with the littles and it shows through the nurture and care we see from the time of drop off to pick up!

My flight leaves on Tuesday I announced. HELP! Evette quickly setup a time to meet and collaborate the idea in my head to a beautiful work of art. I was able to throw ideas her way and she quickly translated them into a reality. The scroll of my dreams. I dressed as a knight in shining armor and bled from my heart a poem for the ages to a beautiful unicorn that night. WOW what an amazing experience and I cannot wait to have Evette involved in my wedding. Not to mention the price was amazing. Yet the scroll is priceless.
