(reasoning for the four star review) Cody came back the next day to install our door. He installed a 12 x 12 commercial door. He was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Jeremy got on the phone and walked me through getting it fixed vs having them come out and make money off me (which he easily could have done). He is logical, no BS, trustworthy and helps every time. He came to my house for a simple adjustment of a working garage door opener. Instead he disassembled the opener and it no longer worked. So he wanted to sell me a new for $1000. Then when I didn't believe him and had another person fix what he did, his wife sent me to collections for a repair bill that never occurred. What a joke read more

Let me start by saying by that the purpose of this review is to share the pros and cons of my experience with this company and not to try to bad mouth them or receive any compensation as we have already spoken with the owner and discussed our experience with no resolution. Upon several neighbors recommendations, we contacted Elizabeth Garage Doors for replacing hail damaged panels on our garage doors. The owner's wife, Andi, sent a tech out quickly. Ryan arrived as scheduled and was knowledgeable about our doors and gave several options to replace the panels in order to save money versus replacing the whole door. He even tightened up the springs for us, on the spot free of charge. When I told him to place the order, I noticed that he measured one of the doors incorrectly and he assured me that the correct size would be ordered therefore, delivery was set for the next month. One month goes by and I reach out to Ryan to confirm the install date because I have painters scheduled to come out the day after install to paint the new panels. This is where it really goes downhill. When Ryan didn't have the parts and cancelled short notice and after lots of unanswered calls and texts, I contacted Andi. After lots of back and forth with Andi, it seems that Ryan didn't order the correct size to begin with and instead of communicating that with me, he ghosted me. Andi recognized my frustration, as I had to reschedule my painters start date twice and said she would speak with her husband to see about some type of compensation. Good news at least is that Ryan did a great job at installing the new panels. Bad news is that when I asked about any compensation, which she originally brought up, she and her husband the owner, rudely informed me that they would take 5% off the total but no more, even though the experience was poor and at no fault of mine. He said that Ryan messed up the order and I quote, " I don't mean to be a d***, but I'm not making any money on this". I was pretty shocked that he spoke like that to a customer and was disappointed that I still had to pay a measure and order fee, when that was the problem in the first place. In the end, the panels got installed, apparently at a fraction of the cost and this ordeal is over with. Funny thing is that I would have paid more to have better communication and good customer service than to have dealt with the delays and being spoken to like that. read more

I used to love working with this company, but this last service was horrible. First, we scheduled a day and time for an estimate for new rails for our single garage door. Andie, the owner's wife who answers phones canceled as her son had an issue at school. Then on the second scheduled day, she tells my husband that we need to install highlift rails and gave us a reasonable estimate. Andie then calls back and tells me that unfortunately the estimate will be higher as she didn't know that the highlift needed an additional part, that should have clued me in that they don't know what they are doing. Then Ryan shows up late to do the install and tells me he doesn't have a clue what he is doing as the dispatcher didn't give clear instructions. So he has to go back to the shop to get the parts; another red flag. He spends quite a bit of time trying to install the rails as Andie told me it would be a two hour job. Well, 4.5 hours later he finishes, and I go to pay him, and he tells me he doesn't have an invoice; another red flag. He leaves and I noticed several bolts all over my garage floor and outside, like he just threw them on the floor and didn't clean up after himself. Later I get a phone call from Andie and she tells me Ryan will be back tomorrow to pick up my check. Then after 3 weeks, my husband goes to use the garage door and it sticks and doesn't move. I call and speak with Andie and she sends Ryan out to look at it. Ryan tells my it's the Garage Door opener and leaves. My husband purchases a new opener for just over $200 and has Overhead door come out to install it. Well, it wasn't the opener after all, the chain got jammed as it was a bad install on Ryan's part. Also, I was told by the tech that the highlift wasn't necessary for our door; that they do cost more then a regular lift; what's that tell you about this company.... Also, Ryan was complaining about Andie that she doesn't get things right half the time, but she's the owner's husband so what can you do. This place used to be good, but now DO NOT USE THEM!!!! I called to let Andie know and she took offense right away saying that my husband wanted a highlift, my husband wouldn't know a highlift from a low lift. I think Andie needs to have a few less afternoon cocktails, as when I called her to inquire about the bill, she said to me that she has had a few cocktails, so give her a break if she mis speaks. I think the owners wife needs a new office person don't you think???? read more

Had a spring break on my garage door, which pretty much makes it useless. Was referred by some neighbors to Elizabeth Garage Doors and couldn't be happier. Their price was reasonable, technician was on time and friendly, and he had me back up and running in a half hour! To top of off he replaced both springs for the cost others were going to do one. He also replaced some bolts/nuts on my door without being asked and gave it all a once over inspection. Bill was exactly what was quoted in the end. Bottom line is I will never use anyone but Elizabeth garage doors for my garage door / opener needs. Excellent family owned company doing honest work! read more

They are taking advanced of COVID and shipping to overcharge you!! Check around before using them- They charged 550 for 2 springs when their competitors are at 389 same warranty too. Also, the receptionist is RUDE!!! I have used them for 9 years and recommend them to several people but I do not like being OVER charged or taken advantage of at all!! They charge more for credit cards too. $550 for 15 mins of work! I would call A Team Garage Doors next time 50 reviews and 5 out of 5!!! read more

We have used Elizabeth Garage Doors for years and have always loved them! We have recommended them to several people. Unfortunately the service is not what it use to be! The service technician actually caused additional damage to the garage door and estimated the repair 3 times higher than the other quotes we received. Our damage was minor and could be repaired, they said we had to replace. Apparently it's under new ownership... miss the quality service and integrity of the old owners. read more

One of the springs broke on my garage door so I started calling around to get some quotes. I also asked around for any recommendations and Elizabeth Garage Doors came up multiple times. I gave them a call and their quote was one of the better, and this was for replacing both springs, as the other was the same age as the broken one and I wanted to make sure I didn't have another break in the near future. I decided to have them come out to do the repair. Jeremy was on time and very quickly installed the new springs. He made sure everything was working properly after the install. He also checked over my garage door, tightened a few bolts, and lubed the wheels and tracking, without charging extra. I'll definitely give Elizabeth Garage Doors a call again if I need any work done on my garage door. read more

This company is awesome. Last year my automatic opener stopped working. Then this week I couldn't get it open manually, either. I thought it might be a spring. A friend recommended this company and I called and received an EXCELLENT price. Jeremy came out within 24 hours, diagnosed an issue with a panel (not a spring after all). This company installed our garage doors over the past few years.....always on time and the doors have been great. This morning Jeremy came out to our house, way out in the country, to repair a wiring problem with one of our sensors. He repaired it and didn't charge a cent, saying it was under warranty. The problem had nothing to do with the installation; I think the wire got caught on something or was chewed by a critter. He could have charged for the service call.
