Finding a perfect florist is difficult when you aren't in the same city. After calling several Charlotte florist, I came across EHF and the experience was perfect. I spoke with April about an arrangement to fit my mothers personality and she nailed it! My one request was birds of paradise, a few florist I called before EHF didn't know what they were (side eye). EHF not only had three beautiful ones, they had more exotic/tropical pieces to make the arrangement memorable. My mom FaceTimed me from work letting me know that the flowers were delivered and it is by far her favorite arrangement. They accepted an online order with a confirmation number only to send me an EMAIL the following day to say they would not deliver my order because is was 4.01 short of some bogus minimum order. No call, no suggestion to upgrade the order to meet this bogus minimum, just an email sent saying we won't honor our promise of service. Very unprofessional. read more

I must admit, the staff here @ Elizabeth House are kind, helpful and generally seem to care about what they do. I normally order a dozen roses from here per month or so. I ordered a mix of roses as they didn't have enough of the lavender roses she truly loves to make a dozen so I asked the gentleman to make a great arrangement with the color-ways she likes and what he believes would look and be the best. Flowers don't last forever but when she sent me this pic 4 days later I was truly disappointed and not worth the $100 price tag. However I will try to find the name of the last florist where her last 2 dozen arrangement came from and seemed to last forever. read more

I walked in to get a rose for my anniversary for my husband, it's a tradition that we have, and I experienced some of the most amazing customer service that one could ever experience. Elizabeth House Flowers has been my go to organization since the early 2000's. I am a native of Charlotte. I have used Todds, Roy White, and 800 Flowers. All of these organizations are good; Elizabeth House is superior. I will not use any other florist, even if I have made a mistake and forgotten to order flowers sufficiently in advance. Every time I send flowers to my wife, she has the arrangement displayed at the reception for a few hours. She says it's to let the other women know how a husband should behave, and to show the men how to behave. I believe it's just to make them all jealous. read more

I'll acknowledge that Valentine's Day is a florist's busiest day of the year, and last-minute shoppers need to adjust their expectations accordingly. But my experience with EHF was nonetheless subpar and beyond disappointing. I called early in the morning (at 8 AM) and was advised that they were no longer accepting delivery orders for the day....completely understandable. The lady on the phone invited me to drive in, though, saying she could accommodate a pick-up order. I drove 25 miles into the store, had a vase, and just wanted to spend a minute walking around and putting together a quick arrangement. I was told that I'd have to come back in an hour -- and the lady at the front desk was not sympathetic at all. Again, I understand it was a busy day. But if you couldn't accommodate two minutes of a walk-in customer, you shouldn't have invited me into the store. My experience was great! Called EHF this morning to order a flower arrangement for a good friend. I had found an arrangement on their website that I liked. And I really like that the site gives you a feel for the cost of the arrangement. They delivered the flowers in the afternoon and they're gorgeous. My friend's husband sent me a photo. My fiance and I will also not be ordering flowers from Elizabeth House again. Customer service is awful and lately the arrangements have been lower quality. Today I noticed a charge on MY credit card for flowers which apparently were for my birthday next week. They didn't even bother to confirm which credit card to charge, obviously my male fiance doesn't sound like a woman on the phone! Now I know I'm getting flowers, AND I paid for them. When I called to offer some feedback, the woman couldn't have cared less. I prefer to call to make orders and the florists will make an arrangement based on the flowers you ask for rather then pick an arrangement online. They are very talented and the flowers are always fresh and beautiful. read more

Mother's Day flowers were delivered to me from an out of state friend. The flowers looked wilted when they arrived and I cared for them the best I could. By Monday 1/2 of the flowers were dead and by Wednesday morning they were all dead. My friend paid $100 for this floral arrangement. I called Elizabeth House Flowers and the person I spoke to apologized and said that they had received many complaints about their Mother's Day deliveries. I was told that it being a very busy holiday that some of the flowers were not at their peak. The person I spoke with not only offered to refund my friend's credit card but to also deliver another arrangement free of charge. Excellent customer service! 5 min later I received another call to tell me this information was incorrect and not only would my friend not receive a credit but the owner (David) was extremely rude, told me to take my business elsewhere and then hung up on me. read more
