I finally caved because I needed the hormones. Literally one nightmare after the other dealing with her. Incompetent, unaccountable and in the end, a liar. Excuses after excuses after excuses, saying she's fax the prescription when she hasn't, saying she spoke to the pharmacist when she hasn't, honestly, pathetic. You've been warned.

Ms. Johnston is very compassionate, caring, and gets to the root of a problem with precision: She was the only one who prescribed the correct medication for my husband. He has really changed from the inside out, so to speak, and after several months of treatment, is so much more like his old self. She had connected the dots back to a traumatic experience he had, and taught him to employ centering and calming techniques to tamp down the anxiety before it could overwhelm him, plus she monitors his medication regularly to adjust the dose (which has come down quite a bit!). All communication is funneled through front office staff, and there is no direct way to speak with a medical provider in a timely manner. Appointments to see a provider are scheduled weeks out, even when issues are time-sensitive. In my case, I had a medical concern and made multiple attempts to contact the office -- phone calls, messages, and emails -- and no one responded. Lab orders were delayed for weeks, and when they were finally sent, they were unsigned, making them unusable. I had to call again to try to correct the issue and again received no follow-up. The lack of accountability and breakdown in communication was unacceptable. The experience felt disorganized and unprofessional, and ultimately I chose not to return. Notably, my provider has since left the practice as well. If you are seeking responsive, medically sound care, I would advise looking elsewhere

She helped me develop a plan, and advised me to get as much done as possible before the next appointment. At the one week mark, I did not receive the orders for the diagnostics needed. The practice has not returned phone calls or emails as is recommended in their voicemail menu. So they charged me for a service that is now useless because I have not received what was promised and paid for. This is called bait and switch. They will be reported to the state medical board.

I have to say, I don't think I've *ever* had a day-one initial consult experience as thorough, positive & caring as it was with Karen today. I can't believe that she's registered as "only" a nurse - she's much more knowledgeable than 99% of the doctors I've had, listens incredibly well, and is very down-to-earth with her advice and generous with her time. Well she was just above and beyond everything I hoped for. She was beyond kind, attentive, inquisitive, and INFORMATIVE. She is so knowledgeable and offered me so much of her time to share her wealth thereof with me. It truly put my mind at ease about some potential issues. I am SO grateful to have walked in the door to her practice. Her staff at the front reflected her same ultra-attentive attitudes, keeping me informed of time frames, fees/charges, etc. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. I received a bill for $850, that eventually went to collections, because SWC wouldn't submit the required paperwork to BlueCross. This went on for nearly a year and the office manager/billing guy, Leo, was completely useless. In fact, at some point I realized he was vindictive and purposefully not submitting the documents. Staff in the office warned me about him and said he could easily solve my case by sending in a preauthorization form. They said he's mean spirited, vengeful, and inept, and the staff are afraid of him because he has some ownership in the practice?! In the end I was able to get BC to pay for the test but the extended hassles I went through, unprofessional behavior, vindictiveness, and incompetence of this organization should not be tolerated by their board.
