The care and services of Dermatology Partners of Northern New Mexico is exceptional. I have a…read morethorough full body exam once a year, and thanks to the conscientious examination by Dr. Bowden, a melanoma growth on my arm was caught early and removed. Having a fair, Irish complexion I'm now paying the cost of too much time in the sun as a kid. I'm grateful to Dr. Bowden and his team for treating the actinic keratosis growths as they pop-up. Always kind and compassionate care.

From the time I met the prover until I was back in the parking lot was 12 minutes. Great if it is…read morean oil change; horrible if it is your (first) yearly, full body cancer screening. Worse if your sister died of Melanoma and the provider does not look between your toes, at the bottom of your feet, or other cracks and crevasses. Strike three is that I have had 9 surgeries such as Moh's for large basil cell areas. Some of them were not where sun shines often. She did see the obvious things on my bald head and burned them but her exam was from several feet away. I am used to having a dermatologist with a magnifying device that is up close and personal. I insisted upon a biopsy for an area that the provider scoffed off saying that it was just a bruise or scrape from gardening. Squamous cell carcinoma was the lab result. I would have lived with it, growing, for 6 more months until I returned for the follow up quick visit where I wonder if she would notice then? They scheduled me for a surgical removal of this squamous cell, but there is no way I am going to let someone who could not tell and did not want to biopsy start cutting on me. In case this is not clear, I do not recommend.

Dr. Grant removed a cyst on my scalp on 5/29/25 & stitches were removed, so I thought, on 6/12/25…read more I was given copies of my charges to submit to Medicare & my secondary insurance for reimbursement, as was instructed after making full payment. PLEASE be aware that Medicare will NOT approve these charges in full & consequently your secondary insurance will also not reimburse you for the total charges. It was explained to me by my insurance company that under federal law, the provider should be paying me a refund since the doctor's charges were NOT approved by Medicare after the they were submitted. I did not pursue this however, as I am fairly certain they will argue that their policy is that the patient must make full payment at the time of the service. On July 25, 2025 I was seen again with concerns over sutures left in my scalp. I was told they would eventually work themselves out. It is now a full year & 2 months after my surgery & those sutures are still a nuisance for me, and often get infected. When I complained about this recently to the receptionist by phone, she never returned with an explanation from the doctor. She asked if I wished to schedule an appointment, which knowing I would be charged for it again, I declined. I was warned by my insurance company to avoid & beware of doctors who do not accept insurance & overcharge for procedures. I will NOT be returning to Dr. Grant.

If you do not have a medical backgroud you might be tempted to take his antiquated word for something about which he has not bothered to update himself. I was patronized, my situation ridiculed as "not possible", and he implied that I was irrational for believing that mycotoxins can cause systemic illnesses. His opinion is grossly outdated, inaccurate, and harmful. His manner was nothing short of insulting.

Dr. Auerbach has treated me for many years as I have unusually sensitive skin that has regular outbreaks of odd conditions including rosacea and acne through many years of my adulthood that are usually common only in teenagers. After contracting and recovering from COVID I have suffered from an extensive "COVID" rash for several years. There is little concrete information on treating my condition, yet Dr. Auerbach tirelessly worked on finding a solution for the boils and sores which originally and continually covered my face, neck and upper chest. His medical care and diligent approach has diminished my issue completely as long as I regularly use the topical medication he prescribes. He is always professional and treats me as an equal adult in spite of my regular long COVID brain fog that often makes me appear to be a complete idiot. I have been going to dermatologists off and on since my teenage years and in my opinion, this physician is one of the most professional and competent dermatologists I have seen. Also, from my experience the front desk has been friendly, competent and helpful.
