Really, I thought immediately the place was out of my price range, but a friendly stranger told me I should go look inside, offering that you could do cute date nights and make your own scents here, but then she assured me the place was black owned, and I HAD to at least see what gems were hiding inside. And there were so many! Bath salts you could mix to bring home, an oil scent lab, and all sorts of adorable accessories that caught my eye: lacy socks, perfect for Docs; some earrings at a great price point; and some sunglasses that no one else will be wearing ANYWHERE, for a mere $20! The woman working the store was just so friendly, and told us to cash is Queen in here store, if you know what I mean? But, I've found my favorite place to invest my modest disposable income at when I'm in Alameda. I'll be back to crate an oil scent roller...for $15! That's absurd. And it was sweet the store has my father's name: To Herb With Love. My mom must've been sending me angel messages.

First impression walking in was how clean the whole place felt. I also liked that there were so many different vendors and cuisines for us all to choose from. Whether you're craving Korean Food, Japanese Food, Peruvian Food, American BBQ, Burgers, or pretty much anything else, you'll probably find something here. Honestly, a lot of the vendors caught my attention because what they offered looked really good. We also spotted a cashew based ice cream shop, which was perfect for dessert after our meal. I also liked how everything was indoors too, especially since it keeps people sheltered from the weather on hot days. Another thing I appreciated was the amount of tables and seating made available. It didn't feel stressful trying to find a place to sit, and we were here on a Sunday. As we walked through the market, I thought the layout was designed really well. The way everything was set up made the place feel a lot bigger and more spacious than it actually was. I thought that was pretty smart. I'd definitely come back to this public market again next time I'm in the area.
