If you're in Elkhart, you are probably here for one of two reasons - something to do with RVing or visiting one of the numerous RV manufacturers in the local area. We visited our RV manufacturer - Alliance and it proved to be a rewarding experience. The campground itself is rather standard. The services work fine. The internet works fine, a bit of a surprise since there are so many YouTubers staying there. I did find out most of them use Starlink. Nothing to say about that. A nice stay. read more

This is based solely on the fact for the two. Nights I spent there they had rented out the recreation center and they boomed loud music well after quiet hours and didn't care. You don't go to a campground to have music thumping into the night. read more

Spacious, quiet, very clean grounds. Easily accessible from the turnpike. Pull-throughs with plenty of space to maneuver. Numerous clean bathrooms and showers within quick walking distance. Very dog-friendly (nice park). Friendly staff, reasonable prices (I did 20A service only). Wifi was good where I was (slot 53) but chugged a bit in the evenings when I guess everyone was streaming video. I dropped in w/o a reservation as an transient (late September/early October) twice when driving across to WI and then again heading home to CT; plenty of available space. I'd overnight there again without hesitation. Kinda bummed I didn't have the time to explore the area...maybe next time. Thanks! read more

We stayed for four days for our FMCA Illini chapter group rally and had a wonderful time. New ownership has really spruced the place up and they couldn't be nicer. Grounds were clean and well kept, bathrooms were modern and clean, and a party room was available for no charge. Lots to do: mini golf, horse shoes, pool and playground, etc. Raj and his family were caring and pleasant to deal with. read more

We recently spent a couple of nights here so we could relax and visit the RV Hall of Fame. Overall it was a nice experience and we liked how accessible this park was to everything in the area. However, we were a little put off that we had asked for a shaded site during the reservation process and were told "no problem" but then when we checked in and reminded them that we wanted a shaded site we were told that they didn't have one for us but the site we had was good too. However the site we got assigned really wasn't so great. In addition to it not being shaded, it was also right next to the dumpster and a large building which housed the laundry area that had outside lights on all night so the view was less than ideal. Since we also seemed to be the only people who were interested in having a fire each night in the crisp September evenings the outside lights of the building really ruined the ambiance. The lackluster site would have been understandable if the campground was full but it was nowhere near full. The entire time we were there we saw plenty of nice, shady sites not being used at all or used for only a single night. Basically, it was just really disappointing that they didn't make any effort to accommodate our simple request for the three nights we were there when it appeared that it would have been easy for them to do so. All that being said we did actually enjoy our stay there. The gentleman that checked us in, Roger, was nice. We purchased 4 bundles of wood for $20 and the amount of firewood and various sizes that they delivered to our site was impressive. The campground overall seemed clean and the people staying there were friendly. We didn't experience people partying or getting rowdy like we have at other campgrounds so it made it easier to relax. Pros: *They accept Good Sam *Most sites are pull-through *Open nature of the campground easily accommodates larger rigs *Sites are pretty level and have lots of grass *Clean *Nice, polite staff *Centrally located. Lots of stores and restaurants super close. Only about 10 min from the RV Hall of Fame *Bundles of firewood are large and a great value *The sites that do have trees are pleasant and inviting *Campground has amenities like a pool and playground so there are things to entertain children *There are cabins available for those who do not have a trailer/RV *Laundry facilities are available Cons: *Staff may say they can accommodate a request and then not do so *Sites near the large building in the center of the campground lack ambiance and the bright outdoor lights from the building can be annoying at night *Lots of noise from the highway *Campground store looked like it could use some sprucing up to make it more inviting *You cannot make online reservations We are thinking of moving to the area and if we decide to do so then we will definitely consider staying there again while we house hunt. That being said, if we do then we'll be more insistent about staying at a site further away from the center building. read more

This is my first visit to Elkhart. I had some car trouble and called back to Indiana K9 learning center regarding a campground. Elkhart Campground as a very nice campground. I called and the family said to come on over. I am not disappointed at all. The fees are great, they have an awesome and well camp store. The sites are very nice, I love the pull through sites. There are beautiful rigs here. I am here in the off season but it looks to be very family friendly activities. The amenities are very nice. The showers and laundry are clean, and more importantly, clean. I would highly recommend Elkhart Campground. read more

Decent campground in the Elkhart area. Over the years, I've stayed here many times. My camping club has even held rallies here. Owners Bob and Gita Patel are very nice and accommodating. There are a few hundred full-hookup sites here. Most are on grass. I am in the 700s area this week and I am on a hard packed level gravel site. Most sites are very long and wide - both of which are a treat at any campground. I really like the proximity to restaurants, the RV/MH, RV manufacturers and vendors. read more

This is a nice campground, quiet, clean, friendly staff. The pull through sites are helpful. I do have one concern. The RV next to us had a slight leak from their water filter attached to their rig. In less than two weeks, the blue water filter looked like it was covered with rust or something brown and slimy. Wish I could post a photo of it. I did send an email to Elkhart Campground with the photo and asked them to have there private water system checked. I will flush our system as soon as possible. Mean while I am drinking bottled water. read more

bathroom smells so bad there was a tick on me. There was an animal on my grandma. almost stepped on it. I don't know how these people read it five star reviews. Because it's the baddest place do not come here and then we switch to spots and there was mud everywhere there is mud on the spots. I do not recommend this place one star review. I was looking to not only save money, but also try to be socially distanced for a quick one night trip to Elkhart, IN. I googled camping in Elkhart and this campground popped up. The goal was to camp in a true tent, but tent camping was not an option listed on their website. I called to reserve one evening in a one bedroom cabin. They take payment up front. When I arrived to check in for the cabin I was told that I had cancelled my reservation. After an exhaustive back and forth and accusations that they refunded my payment and that I owed them money, I was finally given keys to a one bedroom cabin. The cabin is roughly an 8x10 wooden room, a raised platform with a mattress on top, an AC unit, and a small TV. Nothing special, but a safe place to stay during COVID, and bonus it is a cool place to stay since there is AC. As we looked around outside we noticed that every single camper staying there is really staying in a RV. So I would use the word campground loosely. With that though, Elkhart Campground has hands down the absolute cleanest restrooms I have ever used at a campground. The reason I guess is because everyone has their own bathroom in their RV, so they do not use the common restroom. Total bonus for us. I can not stress it enough that both the toilets and the showers were immaculate. I also noticed that they do actually have a couple of tent sites, it just was not listed clear enough for me on their website. So if you are tent camping, they do have that available. Later the owner let me know that he made a mistake and I did not owe him any money. I knew that but he finally realized it and apologized for the mix up. He has told me that someone with my exact same name had a reservation for the day prior and that they had called and cancelled it and that is why there was confusion when I checked in. I don't know if you know but I have an extremely unique name, so I have a really hard time believing his excuse. Later I met his wife and she was nothing but phenomenal. I'm guessing they work hard and make a great team. I love helping family owned companies, so I am going to look over all the negatives that I experienced and focus on the positives. We had a cool place to stay in the heat of summer, with the cleanest bathrooms in town. read more

Green and clean place. We had no problem parking 42' on pull-though spot. It's a shame we only stay for one night. Edit: it is so pretty we've decided to stay one more night before heating the road. Around you have plenty places to eat, I recommend trying food in Callahan's. You can do shoppings in Aldi, just a block away and get gas/diesel in good price just 3miles away in Marathon. Camp has perfect location in beautiful small town. read more

If you want to watch tv the wifi doesn't work for the tv but it does for the phone. Wish they would have told us. Otherwise it was nice.

Only stayed here one night. People seem to be friendly and accommodating. The park is well kept. Most sites are pull throughs and fairly long. They offer 30 and 50 amp and some sites have cable. read more

Large, well established park. Some sites have concrete pads, but most are pull through grass sites (fairly level) with full hookups. Rates were reasonable and several membership discounts were offered. Great central location to explore the Amish countryside or visit and tour one of the many RV manufacturers in the area. read more

With our travels this year from California to Pennsylvania and now heading home this is got to be the best campground that we have been at overall. Although you park on the grass it's all level and tall mature leave trees. The restrooms and showers are about as clean as they can be and one thing that really blessed us with Sunday morning to have church services on the campground. The pool was nice although we don't have kids with this the playground was great looking. They have other activities available for people to use the laundry worked great for the price all in all I could not be happier and would consider this the best so far and the price was very reasonable. read more

The campground itself is nice enough. The sites are close together ,but we had enough room. Their booking process is a mess however. We called and reserved 3 sites together. When we got there we again asked if we were together, and he put the other two slips next to us. When the rest of our group got there it was chaos and they were placed in a spots no where near us. When we questioned it they tell us it is first come first serve?! There were several people in the office complaining that their friends weren't near them. Why take reservations if you have no intention of fulfilling them? read more

This is a good functional campground. Some of the Spaces are a bit tight, and at least one is wedged between the bathhouse and camp wide dump. Nice off leash dog area. Great location for getting RV work done in Elkhart. read more

We spent the past week at Elkhart Campground and couldn't be more pleased with our stay. It's extremely well maintained and has a very peaceful, restful feeling about it. The pull-through sites are much appreciated, and though they're not really any larger than most, you don't have a sense of being closed in. Even though most of the pads are packed gravel, it's so neatly kept that concrete wouldn't have been any better. Each site has a picnic bench and fire pit. The dog park is the largest we've seen and as well maintained as the rest of the campground. We didn't get to use the pool so can't comment much other than though it's a fairly small one, the patio is nice and neat; it looked like it would be a nice place to soak up the sun. There's a camp store where you can find some essentials, like bread, milk, and a few of the small parts we often need when traveling. The reservation process was easy and their rates are quite reasonable. We highly recommend it and would atay there again on our next trip to Indiana. read more

My husband & I stayed here mid-Sept, & they charge you an extra $2 for this & that.....well, just because you pay for cable doesn't mean it works! The tv picture was terrible & the WiFi was worthless as well. read more

Wanted to visit RV museum so picked this campground which is close. It's a large campground, but was almost full, so we had to park in a small grassy field with electric and water only. Electric worked but water would not connect well to any hose or connection I had; sprayed everywhere! I reported to office twice (which they seemed to know about this problem) but never got fixed while I was there. The second day we were there, the "field" was crazy and RVs were parked all over in no order and some sites were actually empty. A rally was scheduled for the weekend and they stacked campers all over. I don't know if I'll get my rig out threw the maze tomorrow. I might recommend this place but only if other sites were available. I would not stay here for any length of time if this full. read more

RV Park was OK. We came for the weekend to go to RV museum and pick up new camper. There was a large group of construction workers working on a project at the University of Notre Dame, who were loud, boisterous, drunken, and crude, dropping F bombs every 2 1/2 minutes till well past midnight. Owner knew about it, heard it, didn't do anything. Claimed this is the first time they've ever done that. Somehow I just don't think so. Probably wouldn't stay here again given the opportunity. It's a shame, it looks like a fairly nice facility. Would not recommend this place if you have children. read more

The owner was friendly but complained to us about another customer. The road in is easy to navigate, some of the turns in the park are a little tight. It is right off of I-80 so convenient for overnight stays, and set back far enough that the noise wasn't too bad. Very large park, well maintained. Sites are extremely close together, our living room slide almost hit our neighbors picnic table. When we first pulled in we couldn't find the sewer hook-up and the cap was missing. The placement of the sewer hook-up is a good 10 feet from the electric hook-up. Sites are grass, and not very level, but long enough for our 37-foot RV, tow dolly and parking. No WiFi. Verizon signal was good. There is a playground, pool, mini-golf, basketball area, and horseshoes. The best part of the stay was the very large fenced in dog park. We stayed one night, August 4, 2016 and paid $41.41 with our Good Sam Discount. read more

A large campground, mostly easy in and out for the fifth wheelers. Sites for the big rigs not so good to get out of. Their rows for the buses are in at an angle where you pull out, and then have to back up to make the turn to get out of. Need another street at end of rows for buses!. Hook up tow car AFTER leaving site, otherwise clean campground, cable and wifi not good. The owners have had the campground for 20 years, very nice and friendly but not organized in the office at all. They need to learn how to be "presentable" for their new arrivals. Too bad they don't spend the money on the cable, basketball court and pickleball court as they advertise. Grass filled and cracked concrete. But quiet park with level sites. Flower lady does marvelous job with her green thumb. Good Sam discount, yeah. PS. Really nice rec hall, wouldn't know that unless you went inside. outside grounds are not kept up. read more
