I'm not sure what the groomers did to them, but they were so traumatized they were shaking. When they got home they kept barking at nothing, and looked so frightened. They weren't back to normal for months. We went there many times before this, and had mediocre experiences. But this was beyond mortifying. I can't believe groomers could treat our dogs like that, let alone how they treated my mother. The groomers refused to refund our money, and said horrifying things to my mother. She was in tears after their conversation. It was a heinous experience. Edit: In response to the owner, that's simply untrue. They were groomed 6 WEEKS before, and while they were matted, it certainly didn't warrant shaving them down to their skin. But even if that were true, the way you treated my mother, yelling at her, and treating her like an animal(or how you clearly treat animals..), is beyond reproach.

We had never been thrilled, but there was one groomer we liked who was mysteriously fired the day before we brought our dogs in. My mother was VERY specific with what she wanted--keep their fur long, let her know if there are any problems. Not only did they ignore her instructions and SHAVE all three of our dogs, but THEY CHARGED HER EXTRA for "detangling mats," which was ridiculous, because obviously they didn't do any such thing, they just shaved them off. They pressured my mom to pay before she saw the dogs (which she did, never imagining they would have gone against her explicit instructions). She was shocked when she saw them, to the point of tears. The people at "Pampered Pup" had the audacity to defend what they did, and didn't offer her any kind of refund. Rude. Completely inept. And, beyond all that, our dogs now shake and whine any time they fear they may be taken to the groomers. DO NOT GO HERE.

They take care of both dogs and cats. The owner April, was very professional as well as excellent in the care that she took in making my dog feeling comfortable and relaxed throughout her whole experience. We had never used a kennel before, and were a little apprehensive due to our lack of experience. However, my daughter was very familiar with Sundance and highly recommended it. So, we decided to give it a try. I reached out and got a quick response. After confirming the dates I was looking for, they were clear in their communication with rates, what was needed (up to date Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella vaccines) and what was available (food, walks, playtime and medical administering). Dogs have their own "runs" with indoor and outdoor spaces and comforts from home are welcome (your own food, treats and toys). Morning and late afternoon hours are available for drop offs, which is very convenient. We added 3 walks a day and 3 playtime sessions. The outdoor time really helped our tripod acclimate to her new surroundings, even though she was a bit timid at first. The staff was very understanding of our initial concerns, and very reassuring. They took good care of her, making sure to keep an eye out and give us up dates. If you've never used a kennel before, Sundance is a great place to start. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, well kept grounds and immaculate kennels. I'm happy we found a kennel we can trust!

When I called back to let to ask them what their email address was so that I could resend it (again) and asked them to have their paperwork updated so we wouldn't continue the same issues, they got very defensive saying that it was me who was rude. The conversation did escalate and I am so happy that we are now going to another place. As much as we would like to support small businesses, the downside is this place feels like they can treat people anyway they like. My mother says the older lady is nice, but the young one who I had the displeasure of speaking too is very snotty! It's a shame the dog in question has been there at least twice within one year and they give us a hard time each time because they for whatever reason are not up to date with how they file their records. The mobile grooming truck is outdated and poorly ventilated - sent our dog to the ER with heat stroke! We expected the clean, professional truck in the website pictures. But Nicole arrived in the old truck, photo attached. The first grooming was okay (3/5) but the quoted price changed multiple times, and our dog was not happy afterwards. But that happens with new groomers and we wanted to support a locally owned business. So we booked a 2nd appointment. Round 2 was a disaster and we almost lost our dog to heat stroke. After a full day in the pet emergency room, Nicole refused to answer calls and texts. No offer to refund based on her poor service and danger to our dog. The veterinarian explained that our dog's heat stroke was brought on by high temperatures in the grooming truck and anxiety induced by poor treatment. Our dog went into Nicole's truck perfectly healthy and came out with a black tongue, unable to walk straight and eventually passed out. Nicole didn't notice and left with no remorse. She is unfit to be trusted with the care of your pet. Additionally, Nicole increased the price of the 2nd appointment but spent 1/3 of the time with our dog. We're assuming this is because the appointment took a turn for the worse when our dog fell ill. But we don't know because Nicole refused to answer calls and texts after the appointment. She did not follow-up when we informed her our dog was in the ER. The customer service is shocking. I'm sorry to leave such a poor review but I would have for other pets to endure such dangerous conditions.
