BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! We attempted to purchase a swim spa from Elko. They took our money and the day before delivery they called to say they ordered the wrong spa. I was in touch with the Sales Representative and the General Manager, Joanne; neither were able to satisfy the order. I called the owner only to be told the General Manager was handling the problem. Therefore if the owner and manager cannot help us I requested a refund and was told there were no refunds. Seriously be careful as this company does not stand behind their mistakes. I now will have to hire an attorney to get thousands of dollars back. read more

The woman who sold us our spa was great. Service now that we own, not so great. Called several times regarding indicator light on front panel not working and spoke to 2 people regarding the issue. Finally they schedule for after 1pm a few days out. Guy shows up 11 am without the courtesy call and luckily my husband was home because i was NOT. Has no idea why he's there and doesn't have the part needed. I said I told 2 different people the issue b4 scheduling the appt. 2.5 weeks go by and I dont hear back from them. Call and they did send someone out 2 days later so I guess they got the part!!! He first tries to tell me theres nothing wrong with it. Then after he replaces the light he goes, oh yeah now its working!!! Well he put the front of tub on wrong and when I opened the cover a few days later, the front panel fell off! Called again because my new IQ sensor is not registering. They put me on hold for 5 min and then someone picks up and says the guy will be there tomorrow 1230 to 2pm. I said, I won't be home. She said I will tell them to come earlier. Later that day get a text that the guy will be there 1230-2 pm!!! There people are brain dead!!! read more

The quality of the Hot Springs hot tubs is unbeatable. We have enjoyed ours for a year, and just had it drained and cleaned. Wow what a great service. Billy did an excellent job and even answered a few questions I had. The whole thing only took a little over 2 hours. Overall, Elko has been wonderful to work with. read more

BUT the filter to pool is not working. Dealing with Service since February 6th. They have sent people out for pictures twice. Filter to be repaired or replaced under warranty I was told. No dates with when. Been 7 weeks! Husband called manufacturer of filter last week and they have no records of Elko reaching out in our behalf. They said it is under warranty and manufacturer sent email and work ticket to Elko to get the work done last Thursday. Still no call and return call from Elko. I called this morning about repair. Can't get anyone in service on phone. Last few times I call they are out to lunch. Left another message today at 11:30. It is now after 4 and no call! read more

Recently bought a house with a hot tub. Needed a new filter and was getting the run around with multiple local places that said they had them but didn't when I got to the store. Elmo has Super friendly staff! They were able to pull the stock when I called and had one waiting when I got to the store. Knowledge is a wonderful thing! The staff with Elko Spas Billiards & Pools are the BEST! When looking to purchase a hot tub/spa, they were able to answer all my questions, silly or not. We purchased our tub and it will arrive in 4 to 6 weeks! Now to the BIG drama of my new house, the pool - after talking with the folks at Elko's and explaining that I don't know anything about it, they suggested a Service Tech to come check it out, Love TJ! If you are looking at having an Above ground pool installed, do not use ELKO!!!! I would not trust them to install an Intex pool from Walmart. I purchased a 34 x 18 pool assuming they were pool professionals boy was I wrong. First off they dig by hand which through me off since up North they use equipment. Then they used our fence as point of reference for the pool placement. However our fence is not straight should have used the house/patio which is longer then the pool and is a permanent structure . When questioned they stated we needed to advise to use the house as reference. HMMM aren't you the "pool professionals"? Needless to say our pool is not straight and the one wall is crooked. We advised both managers Joann and Kristen but they did not want to hear and keep telling us the installer has 10 years of experience. Customer service is non existent. Elko is always right not the customer. We asked them to come out to our house to see the progress but instead were advised the lead installer has 10 years experience. This is Elko's go to response it seems. Filter was placed in grass but yet instructions clearly state to put on level surface not on grass. Liner has so many wrinkles in it. Did not see anyone in the pool taking the wrinkles out during instead they hooked up a shop vac to have the liner stick and sat in there truck on their phone. Communication with the crew was non existent they never advised on how to use pump etc. Luckily we have had a pool before. All hoses were leaking when we turned pump on. We were advised by Kirsten this is normal and they come back to tighten . Ok so let the water leak until you can come back to tighten sounds reasonable (eye roll). I strongly encourage you to look around at other pool places and save yourself a huge headache. read more

Purchased very e xpensive swim spa. Everybody was happy. We all stuck our heads in a bucket a came up with a fish. After install bad service, bad response in general. They pulled my suit in the back and said it looked good when we got started. Once I needed them again it was what, when, where. Be careful. I write this after waiting 2 weeks for service call at 9 am it's now 12 pm and no call what's new. Stay away from Elko. read more

Stay away from this place. Shame there is no Zero stars available. Called them to fix my spa. Tech came out and said I needed a new pump. Then I called the next day to get a price. They could not give me an estimated repair date. I was told 2 weeks to 2 months. I said I would pass. She then said there is a $145 charge to diagnose the problem. Nowhere on their web site does it disclose a charge for a diagnosis. When I arranged to have someone come to look at it, nothing was said about a charge for the diagnosis by the tech. It was only when I told them I would pass was a charge for the diagnosis mentioned for which I told her I would not pay for anything. Turns out Spa Savers did not charge for an estimate, fixed the spa for almost half the price, and did it in less than a week. 2 months later I received an invoice for $145 from Elkos Spas for an estimate. I returned the invoice with a strong letter informing them that I would not pay for anything I did not authorize and this business practice amounted to nothing more than a scam. read more

We have been ripped off several times by them. We purchased a spa then there were hidden fees to move it. They set up dates without confirmation from us then charged us for coming out and not doing anything because no one was there. We had put a credit card on file with them that they would charge. When contacted multiple times to fix this problem we were shuffled from person to person. Told it would be refunded and never has been. This is several hundred dollars. Have had a terrible experience with Elko Spas. Bought a house with a Hot Spring Spa installed and purchased through Elko. Scheduled a service call and was told the spa needed a full treatment because it had not been done in two years. Paid over $500 to have spa serviced only to learn that seller had it done for me by Elko 20 days prior. When I spoke with Kim she said that it is standard procedure and would not refund my monies or take any ownership in providing an unnecessary service. I again reached out to Elko to move my spa in order for masons to install travertine under spa and around the newly installed pool. I set up an appointment two months before masons were to begin. Elko service came out looked at the job and left never a phone call or notification. When the masons called me and stated that the spa was still in the way , I was dumb founded, called Kristan and was told the electrical needed to be removed before spa could be moved. I stated it would have been nice to have been informed of this. I live in Nj this is a second home, I drive down disconnect the tub and drain it. Reschedule the masons and Kristan schedules the moving of the tub. for the following week. only to cancel my appointment at 5 the day before the masons were starting again, i moved the masons again at my expense as they lost several days of work all due to the unprofessional acts of Elko, reason given no employees available to come to my house. Finally the masons moved the spa so they could complete my installation. Elko as of this email have not contacted me to apologize or assist in my dilema. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Kimberly was very helpful and knowledgeable, helped me understand how to care for my hot tub. They also sell beautiful pool tables and games with cool custom fabrics. This is NOT a pool and spa business I would ever refer to anyone. Elko Spas Billiards & Pools installed a pool for us last year and over the winter the pool began to leak several inches over a period of a couple of days. They could not do anything over the winter so they instructed us to shut down the pump. As weather got nicer I made several calls to Elko with no return calls. When Elko Pools did finally contact us...I was told on several occasions to refill the pool as it was getting very low yet again, Elko pools then tried to convince me the loss of water was due to "evaporation". Owning pools for over 30 years I kept explaining to owner Kimberly Elko that it was NOT evaporation. In only a 3 day time frame we lost 3-4" of water which is more than what we had evaporate in last years entire season. Again, numerous phones calls were made, appointments were made and several times Elko Pools never showed up. When I called to see if someone was coming I received excuses of why the no show. Twice the pool has been emptied, at Elko's direction, and the problems have still not been corrected. A crew came and patched two holes but the pool continued to leak at the same rate. After MONTHS of dealing with their lack of customer service I now have a brand new over priced pool ....that's still empty. read more

I bought an above ground pool rom this business and paid 2300.00 dollars for a complete pool package.When I brought tho pool home some pieces were missing so I called the company and was told that these items needed to be purchased seperately.These items were not small items they were necessary items likea pump and a skimmer which are very basic to a pool.Had I known this I could have bought at wal mart and even thier blow up pools come with pumps and skimmers.I was led to believe I was getting the whole package.This is dishonest.Not everyone knows all the parts that come with a pool so when it is advertised as a complete packageeverything that is required to run the pool should be there.To me complete means that as soon as I set up the pool I should be able to use it I should not have to buy more parts or what is billed as a complete system. read more

I purchased a hot tub several months ago. Yesterday, I arrived at the store and spoke to the young lady who was very helpful. I asked her for a service call since I was having problems with my water chemicals. I was willing to pay to get the issue straight. the young lady filled out a form and stated that I would receive a call before the end of business from Kim. After 26 hours without a call I called Elko. Another lady answered the phone. I told her my dilemma and that no one called. She stated to me that she worked on the service schedules and that she was going to do the requests tomorrow which is Friday and it would be towards the end of next week before anyone would arrive. I advised that it would have been nice if someone would have taken a moment to call me yesterday to share this info. The employee then stated that she was out for a funeral as if I should have known. I stated sorry to hear but the funeral was not my issue someone from the company should have called and at least advised us of the delay. I would have been more understanding if I felt the employee cared. We were assured that Elko would be there to help through any issues before the purchase but I see that they are only interested in the purchase. I paid cash and there was no delay in accepting my payment for the hot tub. Don't waste your money. Go somewhere that has a good service dept. I am very disappointed in this company. I hope that Kim and her husband do not train their employees this way. I have also sent this to the company who manufactured our hot tub. I am tired of paying out money only to be treated poorly and ignored. read more
