You can go from downtown out to the peninsula, along the lake and over t the east side near the grand traverse resort. You can get to the Boardman or circle out of the city in a big loop and explore the country. Bike rentals everywhere make getting on the trail easy and the prices during shoulder season for rentals are decent. Bring your own bike and enjoy the ultimate in value and experience.
