The room itself was bright with Orange and tan accents. The bed, King size was very comfortable. It had a small microwave, fridge and the usual Iron/ironing board, safe. The bathroom had a back-lit mirror and heavy glass sliding doors. I'll keep this on my list of places to stay. Oh and the price was right!

The Holiday Inn manager, Ann refused to apologize and falsely accused me and my family member for the disgusting state of the hotel room due to her poor managment, quality control and housekeeping. Laurie and the breakfast attendant were wonderful! They get a 5/5. Ann would get zero based on her nasty attitude and poor customer service. She knows that none of that furinture had been cleaned for months. March 3rd my elderly, disabled relative who was wearing a mobility boot and I checked out of our room early because a large bug was on my bed and the overall lack of cleanliness we discovered in the full sunlight. I called the front desk several times from my cell phone (because the room phone was broken) and finally spoke to Silas around 8 am and asked him to come inspect the room. He said he couldn't and would have to wait until the manager arrived around 9-9:30. We checked out and I called around 12 when I didn't hear anyone. Around 2 pm, the manager Ann W called and said she inspected the room with a 3rd party and they confirmed that it was a ladybug, "the room was utilized" and she found nothing wrong with the room. I asked her again, did she personally inspected the room and found it to be clean. She said yes - she couldn't tell what we did to the room versus the state of the room before we came. I told her that was insulting. She didn't apologize. I asked how could we leave the following stains on the furniture between 8pm and 8am the following day: - old, crusty white stains and dried spills on the desk chair, the sofa - dried red/black stains behind the toilet and in the refrigerator -hair in the shower that doesn't match our color, length or texture? I told her we had pictures and she said she did too and repeated that the room was fine and added had there been a problem we could have been moved. Laurie can confirm that she showed me another room when I checked in and I requested that room to be cleaned before she realized I had a reservation for another room. Laurie was wonderful she tried to help us with the thermostat and the phone which were both broken. Ann W. was smug, dismissive, and disrespectful for implying that we could be responsible for old stains from previous guests and poor housekeeping. We drove over 3 hours and I was sick and needed the handicap-accessible room. We ate in the lounge and only had enough time to sleep and left early. Our trip was cut short because of the bad experience.

Upon arrival, a warm and friendly attendant swiftly checked us in, offering cold water and ice cream (there is a deep freezer in the lobby w all kinds of complimentary frozen treats!) and a mini fridge chock full of bottled water and beverages. I noticed behind the reception desk there were basketballs and pool toys available for guests - what a nice touch for families traveling w kids/teens! The hotel grounds were clean and well organized. Our room w as a suite w a full kitchen and living room, the suite was large enough for a family of 4-6 to comfortably stay/sleep. Although we only stayed 1 night, I noticed the kitchen was super impressive. Never had I seen a dishwasher inside a hotel suite kitchenette. The complimentary breakfast was amazing, and included two friendly waitstaff who carefully monitored the buffet to keep it filled/fresh, cleaned any spills and replenished paper goods/etc as needed. They even stopped by to make sure we were happy w our meal. There was even iced coffee. Definitely a 10/10 Residence Inn experience - I would absolutely stay here again when visiting the beach.

First- from front desk to breakfast hostess ( Edith) the staff were very good: friendly, professional, effective. Despite working on a national holiday- they always put customers first. Thanks! Our room 215, was ok but we were disappointed by the following: Loose floor tiles in bath area Very slow tub drain Overhead bathroom light very dim- unsafe. King mattress too jiggly for two. Bright Street/parking lights seep through curtains at night. Sounds from neighbors and overhead very noticeable. Washcloths so thin, they could have been disposable. Evidence of previous guests remaining in our room- ie: a butterfly hairpin on carpet. Breakfast offered sufficient variety and quantity. Dining area was clean and comfortable. Not critical, yet disappointed the guest snack area freezer was empty. No ice cream! Many, might not notice or even care about details listed above, yet for those who might, including hotel owners, I hope my notes are useful. Overall, not bad, but the experience could be better.

Extremely disappointed with Choice Hotels' handling of an honest booking mistake…read more I booked accommodations for my family through a basketball tournament hotel block for Ocean City, Maryland. My family of six required a room configuration with three beds, and during the booking process I ended up with a reservation at the Country Inn & Suites in Salisbury instead of Ocean City. I did not realize the issue until the day of arrival because I genuinely believed I had booked through the tournament lodging process for Ocean City. When I discovered the mistake, I immediately contacted both the hotel and Choice customer service. I fully understand that the reservation was non-refundable and that I ultimately completed the booking. However, what was most disappointing was the complete lack of flexibility or goodwill. I am a Choice Privileges member, I booked the correct hotel immediately, and Choice ultimately received payment for both reservations--more than $800 total from my family for the same weekend. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. A partial refund, travel credit, reservation transfer, or even some form of goodwill accommodation would have demonstrated that the company values long-term customers. Instead, the answer was simply "no." Mistakes happen. Customer service is measured by how companies respond when they do. Choice Hotels had an opportunity to retain a loyal customer and earn goodwill with my family. Instead, this experience left me feeling that loyalty and common-sense circumstances were not taken into consideration. As things stand today, I do not expect to stay at a Choice Hotel again and will be looking to other hotel brands for future family travel.
